  my server free memoney is less and less, And many process COMMAND are"sudo" when use top and enter M. I don't understand root user need to use "sudo". I want to know the way these processes are generated ? Can I kill ? • Synchronize large objects to S3 efficiently

  I need to synchronize about 30GB of git repositories to S3. These repos may contain some very large pack files, on the rough order of 2GB. I know that S3 has recently added support for large objects, and has new APIs that allow the objects to be uploaded as several parallel chunks. Is there a good command-line tool for Linux that allows me to efficiently synchronize large objects with S3 in a fashion similar to s3sync?

  I have taken delivery of two identically specced CentOS/cPanel servers, showing the same behaviour of a resting load average of 1.30, 1.21, 1.16 and yet the CPU is sitting 100% idle. A kernel/driver conflict perhaps? I don't see any processes in R or D state that might inflate the load averages artificially, I realise it may be considered low in an 8 thread system but its higher at idle than any normal behaviour I've previously come across. Am I missing something in my use of tar or is this a bug in cygwin?

  I've a bonding on two interfaces. I'd like to monitor wether they are connected to different switches (the switches have hostnames). ethX should be connected to switchX and ethY to switchY. Currently I'm checking this with following command: tcpdump -vv -s0 -i ethX ether host 01:00:0c:cc:cc:cc After a minute it prints out the hostname (and much more information) from the switch. Using su, is there a way to pass the password argument to the command on a single line, without invoking sudo as the users will not have admin rights? The command mount 10.0.0.1:/pxe/ /mnt/pxe/ works fine when I only am using the one NIC the appropriate machine is on, but how can I specify to use eth1 when eth0 is also enabled? Thank you.
