  Introduction Following my last post, I decided to publish the whole set of expression builders that I use with SharePoint. For all who don’t know about expression builders, they allow us to employ a declarative approach, so that we don’t have to write code for “gluing” things together, like getting a value from the query string, the page’s underlying SPListItem or the current SPContext and assigning it to a control’s property. These expression builders are for some quite common scenarios, I use them quite often, and I hope you find them useful as well. SPContextExpression This expression builder allows us to specify an expression to be processed on the SPContext.Current property object. • Visual Studio 2008 skipping projects when building a solution

  Hi, I recently installed VS2008 in Win2k8R2 machine and opened a VS2005 project(C++). After successful conversion to VS2008, i tried building the project in Debug x64 mode. But the project is getting skipped. I tried Clean as well as Rebuild, and it is getting skipped for those as well. I'm able to build in Debug win32 mode. But i need to build in x64 mode. Also the Build option is ticked in Build-Configuration Manager under x64. I have installed the x64 bit compiler too. Also I'm not able to see the Project properties for x64. How can i solve this problem and build the project in VS 2008?

  I have a J2EE application running on an IBM Websphere Application Server on a Windows Operating System. Occasionally I see an OutOfMemoryError Exception with the following information in the javacore file. 1TISIGINFO Dump Event "systhrow" (00040000) Detail "java/lang/OutOfMemoryError":"Failed to create a thread: retVal -1073741830, errno 12" received Java is run with the following configurations: -Xms512m -Xmx1350m -Xscmx50M Analyzing the javacore file, the number of threads are just 124. Analyzing the heap dump, the memory occupied by the heap is about 500Mb. Given the relatively normal number of threads and heap size a lot lower than the maximum, I am trying to figure out why I see this error?   Hi there. I'm currently setting up Hudson to push artifacts to my Nexus repository upon succesful builds. Unfortunately I am having some trouble with getting Hudson to deploy using Nexus groups. I have two groups, upbeat.nexus (private) and public.nexus (public). I've set up the associated repositories in Nexus already. • IIS 7 Authentication: Certain users can't authenticate, while almost all others can.

  I'm using IIS 7 Digest authentication to control access to a certain directory containing files. Users access the files through a department website from inside our network and outside. I've set NTFS permissions on the directory to allow a certain AD group to view the files. When I click a link to one of those files on the website I get prompted for a username and password. With most users everything works fine, but with a few of them it prompts for a password 3 times and then get: 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. But other users that are in the group can get in without a problem. If I switch it over to Windows Authentication, then the trouble users can log in fine. That directory is also shared, and users that can't log in through the website are able to browse to the share and view files in it, so I know that the permissions are ok. • Plastic SCM vs. SVN

  I'm currently researching new source control options for a team of 10 developers. We do .net development in Visual Studio 2008. We currently use VSS for source control. We are looking for a centralized source control solution(non-distributed), with a nice Visual Studio plugin. My manager has recommended Plastic SCM and I've always heard good things about Subversion. I'm trying to decide if we should adopt Subversion or Plastic SCM. There isn't much information out there about Plastic SCM (except what they've written) and I was wondering if it would be a good solution. They make it sound as if branching is much simpler. Subversion on the other hand has a robust, mature community, and it has been thoroughly field tested. What are the pros and cons to these tools? Also are there any other tools that you could suggest? • Netbeans autocomplete unusably slow/nonfunctional in Netbeans 6.8 Latest

  I'm running a 2.5Ghz C2D with 4GB RAM, so there's no reason hardwre-wise why Netbeans should be peforming so poorly. Using the latest Netbeans release and grails plugin (installed via the plugin manager), automcomplete is either too slow to use or doesn't work at all. If I'm within a class, and I attempt to auto-complete a field, it takes 3-4 seconds before being able to finish the field name. If I'm in a class of the same package (like a unit test), I can't get any of the properties to appear on the object. Furthermore, it says "Scanning in progress" for a full 5-6 seconds before pulling up the method list. Is there a way to fix this behavior?

My requirements are: The administrator will add timeslot appointments to the calendar for each persons in the company who can receive a client The client can search online for available timeslot appointments and can make a reservation Idealy, the UI can show the appointsments by days/weeks or agenda style Is there any asp.net mvc control that can do this. Or any tutorials that can inspire me of how I can do this?
