  • gitosis did not generate projects.list automatically, gitweb can't work.

    I setup a gitosis managed git server. git clone is ok. but when I set gitweb via gitweb.conf as below: $projectroot = "/srv/gitosis/repositories"; $git_temp = "/tmp"; $home_text = "indextext.html"; $projects_list = "/srv/gitosis/gitosis/projects.list"; $stylesheet = "/gitweb/gitweb.css"; $logo = "/gitweb/git-logo.png"; $favicon = "/gitweb/git-favicon.png"; Btw, the commet was deleted because of the special symbol # is using as bold prefix. "403 Forbidden - No projects found" is reported when I access gitweb through "http://localhost/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi" I checked the projects.list file it is empty, is that the reason why gitweb access failed? what would be the correct content? can i add it manually?

  • Resizing screenshots/screen captures for inclusion in Beamer

    Sorry, this may or may not be a programming question directly, but I am trying to resize screenshots with Imagemagick and Gimp to include in a Beamer presentation, but it comes out even blurrier than the resizing done by LaTeX. For instance, in Beamer I might have a command to rescale the image \includegraphics[width=.5\textwidth]{fig.png}. Using something like \begin{frame} \message{width = \the\textwidth} \message{height = \the\textheight} \end{frame} I have gotten the \textwidth and \textheight parameters in points (345.69548, 261.92444). So I have a script (in Python) that sends a system call to Imagemagick: 'convert %s -resize %.6f@ resized_%s' % (f,a,f) where a is calculated as \textwidth*\textheight*0.5**2. When I then go back into my Beamer presentation and include the resized figure, \includegraphics{resized_fig.png}, the size looks approximately correct but it's super-blurry. I also tried resizing in Gimp (using the GUI) but no luck either... help? Thanks...

  • Awstats showing 404s for pages and objects I definitely don't have...

    I have a HostGator site using Awstats and I've recently noticed the following 3 bizarre 404s: [address] [times] /images/wikimedia-button.png 1 /apple-touch-icon.png 1 /imgs/custom-space.gif 1 the first and third also carry referrers from within my site, but are 100% definitely absolutely not linked by any of my pages. I'm not too worried about it, seeing as each one has only popped up once. But I am concerned about why Awstats thinks one of my pages is referring what is apparently a wikipedia image, and why Steve Jobs is trying to haxx0r me (/joke) This is my first site to receive moderate daily usage, so I'm curious if these sorts of unique weird-o 404s just come with the territory, or if I should be double-checking something... I had to put a "return false" in order for the parent page to not postback (and I think the problem lies here...). Then, when I click in the ImageButton with the CommandName="Insert", instead of firing the ItemCommand event, it enters once again in the ItemDataBound handler. So, any ideas? Thanks!

  • Why can't I download a whole image file with urllib2.urlopen()

    When I run the following code, it only seems to be downloading the first little bit of the file and then exiting. Occassionally, I will get a 10054 error, but usually it just exits without getting the whole file. My internet connection is crappy wireless, and I often get broken downloads on larger files in firefox, but my browser has no problem getting a 200k image file.   • iPhone – Best method to import/drawing UI graphic elements? CGContextDrawPDFPage?

    Hello, What is the best way to use the custom UI graphics on the iPhone? I've come across CGContextDrawPDFPage and Panic's Shrinkit. Should I be using storing my vector ui graphics as PDF's and loading them using CGContextDrawPDFPage to draw them. I did previously asked what way Apple store their UI graphics and was answered crushed png. The options as I see it, but I would really want to know what technique other people use. This question is for vector graphics only. Looking for what is standard / most effective / most efficient. PNG (bitmapped image) Custom UIView drawing code (generated from Opacity) PDF (I've not used this method, is it with CGContextDrawPDFPage?) Many thanks Ross

  • UITableViewCells appear behind backgroundView

    I am having a problem setting the background of UITableView to a UIImageView (see below for why I am doing this), once the view is set, it works fine, and scrolls with the UITableView, but it hides the elements of the Table View. I need to have a UIImageView as the background for a UITableView. I know this has been answered before, but the answers are to use: [UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"myImage.png"]]; Or something like (which I need to use): UIImageView *background = [MainWindow generateBackgroundWithFrame:tableView.bounds]; [tableView addSubview:background]; [tableView sendSubviewToBack:background]; The reason I need to use the latter is because of my generateBackgroundWithFrame method, which takes a large image, and draws a border around that image to the dimensions specified, and clips the remainder of the image: + (UIImageView *) generateBackgroundWithFrame: (CGRect)frame { UIImageView *background = [[[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:frame] autorelease]; background.image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"globalBackground.png"]; [background.layer setMasksToBounds:YES]; [background.layer setCornerRadius:10.0]; [background.layer setBorderColor:[[UIColor grayColor] CGColor]]; [background.layer setBorderWidth:3.0]; return background; } Please note: I understand that this might poorly effect performance, but I don't have the resources to go through and make those images for each potential screen in the app. Please do not answer this question with a mindless "you shouldn't do this" response.   • jquery question - addclass to element depending on active image in rotating banner

    I have a banner that rotates a series of three images. The active one has a display:block, while the inactive have display:none. I'm trying to match the class for the active image with an tag so that I can add an "active" class to the a tag. Having some trouble writing that function. It's adding all of the classes for each of the img elements, regardless of whether they're being displayed or not...     Hi I am having some trouble getting Django & PIL work properly since upgrading to Snow Leopard. I have installed freetype, libjpeg and then PIL, which tells me: --- TKINTER support ok --- JPEG support ok --- ZLIB (PNG/ZIP) support ok --- FREETYPE2 support ok but when I try to upload a jpeg through the django admin interface I get: Upload a valid image. The file you uploaded was either not an image or a corrupted image. It works fine with PNG files. Any Ideas?

    I am new to js and Jquery other than plug and play scripts and plugins. I have Jcarousel running great on a Ruby on Rails site and I need to use the itemLastInCallback method to change out the next and prev buttons. Basically if the end user clicks through to the last item in a carousel, the next button would become a link to the next carousel. <%= link_to (image_tag 'scroll_right.png'), @next_group % is the code I need to render in the end. So something like: if this is not the last item in the carousel button is normal jcarousel next button else <%= link_to (image_tag 'scroll_right.png'), @next_group % end is there a best way to do this? am I on the right track?

    Hey, I have a program that needs to tell if an online image exists, but the only way that I've gotten this to work is by loading the image in a NSData pointer and checking if the pointer exists. - (BOOL)exists { NSString *filePath = @"http://couleeapps.hostei.com/BottomBox.png"; NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:filePath]; NSData *imageData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:url]; if (imageData) { return YES; } return NO; } This has worked for me, but my problem is that I have a very slow connection, and it takes forever to download the image. So my question is: is there a way to check if a image (say "http://couleeapps.hostei.com/BottomBox.png") is available without having to download it? Help is much appreciated HiGuy

But the instances of Label will not get its data members fill in. I have also tried to do this using plain variables (not properties). If they were filled in, the image would actually show "3" and "Text rad 1". So what do I put in the class "Label" to have the properties right? Should there be some kind of annotation? Where do I read about this?

  • iGoogle Stack Overflow Gadget [closed]

    Since SO's question database is becoming an excellent first point of call for finding answers to coding problems, some people (like me) might like to be able to fire up searches from their iGoogle home page, among the other searches you might launch from there. I've created a very simple gadget to do this, and put the source below. My hope is that this might provide a foundation on which community members with better ideas for performing this function, or ideas for enhancing it, can update it. Perhaps we could make it configurable to search via a site scope search from Google and / or a question search, for instance.     I am experiencing a problem with the following code in some versions of Internet Explorer: #iconautente{ background-image:url('/style/images/spritecommon.png'); /*icona_utente.png*/ background-position:-117px -15px; text-indent:-9000px; width:20px; height:23px; display:inline-block; } <a id="iconautente" href="/admin/index.php">admin</a> In Firefox, IE7 and IE8 under Vista, I see background and no text, as expected. In IE6 and IE8 under XP, the whole image is indented, not text, so the image is not shown. What should be the right behavior? Is there a workaround?

  • reference suggestion in latex windows (multi-file structure)

    There is some editor of latex that managed the labels for a multifile document?. I tried with TexMaker and LED, and they offers me suggestions about the labels present in the actual document and in the "Master" document but not the labels present in other files of the structure. I made a script to find those other labels but it will be real good that the suggestions covers all the file structure automatically. Finally i tried with Vim and Latex-Suite, this extension has that posibility but i have problem configuring the grep program despite having followed all the instructions found in their website and in the help files, :(. the structure is like this: document.tex mystyle.sty mybibliography.bib tex/file1.tex tex/file2.tex tex/... img/img1.png img/img2.png . . .
