  • "ResolveAssemblyReference" task fails and System.BadImageFormatException, but assembly isn't used an

    I am getting an error about the assembly "C:\Ora10g\bin\Zip.exe". The trouble is this solution does NOT use anything in Oracle at all. I could not find a single reference to 10g anywhere in the project. I inherited this from another person who left our group. He never had this issue. Another member of my team said he got this before but reinstalling the client portion of 10g fixed it. No such luck there. I even tried using WinGrep to search the entire solution folder for "Ora10g" but it wasn't there. Any ideas? I can't build this solution until I can figure out how to get rid of this false reference to Oracle. VS 2005 solution. Contains a couple WinForm apps, a couple class libraries, and a web service.   • unix tool to remove duplicate lines from a file

    I have a tool that generates tests and predicts the output. The idea is that if I have a failure I can compare the prediction to the actual output and see where they diverged. The problem is the actual output contains some lines twice, which confuses diff. I want to remove the duplicates, so that I can compare them easily. Basically, something like sort -u but without the sorting. Is there any unix commandline tool that can do this?

  • Which comm ports exist? Win32

    On win32, using winapi, is there anyway to know which comports (from com0 upwards) actually exist as devices? At the moment I am just attemping to open them all (0 to 9), but I can't figure out the difference of failure between one not existing, and one not simply being available for use because someone else is using it. Both situations seem to return the same last error, so I was wondering if I could list all the comports available on the system.

  • How do I display the validation which failed in my Rails unit test?

    Summary: Failed unit tests tell me which assert (file:line) failed, but not which validation resulted in the failure. More info: I have 11 validations in one of my models. Unit testing is great, whether I run `rake test:units --trace' or 'ruby -Itest test/unit/mymodel_test.rb'. However, despite the fact that it tells me exactly which assert() failed me, I am not told which validation failed. I must be missing something obvious, because I can't ask Google this question well enough to get an answer. Thanks :)

It works fine until it returns from the Sagepay site and all of my local user session vars are destroyed for some reason.Thus i am unable to use my own created session vars and save information about a user regarding that specific order.   • App dies on startup but not crash report

    I've given an ad hoc version of my app to some users. Two of them have the app die on start up while one user has no issues. I can also install the ad hoc without issue...but that is always the case for me. One user sent the info below from the Xcode Organizer Console. They didn't find any crash logs. I don't know what to make of the info below. The one thing that stands out is "Permission denied". I place the provisioning and myapp.app files in a dropbox folder. The user then retrieves the files from the same location. I've run codesign against the .app file in the dropbox and get valid output: codesign -vvvv myapp.app myapp.app: valid on disk myapp.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement Any one have some ideas how I can figure out why the app doesn't work for this user?     I'm trying to get ZSync to work between a desktop and iPhone app. I've got my schemas set up and all info matches between my MOM and my schema so I should be good to go. When I initiate my sync, however, I get this error. |Miscellaneous|Error| SyncServices precondition failure in [ISyncSession _validateClient:entityNames:beforeDate:clientHasTruthForEntityNames:target:selector:]: no entities specified Anyone know what this means, and how to debug it? I'm a novice with this SyncServices stuff. Cheers!

    Basically I have an authlog/syslog file with a list of log in attempts and IP addresses - I need to make a Python program that will create a txt file with all the IP addresses that have more than 5 failed login attempts - a sort of "blacklist". So basically something like: if "uniqueipaddress" and "authentication failure" appear more than 5 times, add uniqueipaddress to txt file. Any help would be greatly appreciated - please try and make it simple as I am very, very inexperienced in programming in Python! Thanks.

  • MS SQL Server BEGIN/END vs BEGIN TRANS/COMMIT/ROLLBACK

    I have been trying to find info on the web about the differences between these statements, and it seems to me they are identical but I can't find confirmation of that or any kind of comparison between the two. What is the difference between doing this: BEGIN -- Some update, insert, set statements END and doing this BEGIN TRANS -- Some update, insert, set statements COMMIT TRANS ? Note that there is only the need to rollback in the case of some exception or timeout or other general failure, there would not be a conditional reason to rollback.
