• How to adjust font size of label to fit the rectangle?

  Yeah, there's this cool myLabel.adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth = YES; property. But as soon as the label has two lines or more, it won't resize the text to anything. So it just gets truncated with ... if it doesn't fit into the rect. Is there another way to do it?

  I am able to retrieve all the posts from a custom category with this call to WP_Query $q = new WP_Query(array( 'taxonomy' => 'jh-portfolio-category', 'term' => 0, 'post_type' => 'jh-portfolio' )); However, let say within the jh-portfolio-category taxonomy I have defined some sub-categories, how do I specify I wish to have posts from a specific sub-category? Changing the 'term' property to the term_id as presented in wp_term_taxonomy doesn't seem to work.

• asyncore callbacks launching threads... ok to do?

  I'm unfamiliar with asyncore, and have very limited knowledge of asynchronous programming except for a few intro to twisted tutorials. I am most familiar with threads and use them in all my apps. One particular app uses a couchdb database as its interface. This involves longpolling the db looking for changes and updates. The module I use for couchdb is couchdbkit. It uses an asyncore loop to watch for these changes and send them to a callback. So, I figure from this callback is where I launch my worker threads. It seems a bit crude to mix asynchronous and threaded programming. I really like couchdbkit, but would rather not introduce issues into my program. So, my question is, is it safe to fire threads from an async callback? • JQUERY UI Dialog Modal - Is there a way to have the OVERLAY Div Persist? Or set which Div to Use?

  The reason I want this is so that when the overlay shows a WHITE Background, I can add "webkit-transition-duration" property to allow the white background to nicely fade-in and out using the GPU. But problem here is that JQUERY seems to remove/add the overlay div every time the dialog is run. Any ideas?

  I have 3 generict type list. List<Contact> = new List<Contact>(); List<Address> = new List<Address>(); List<Document> = new List<Document>(); And save it on a variable with type object. Now i nedd do Cast Back to List to perfom a foreach, some like this: List<Contact> = (List<Contact>)obj; But obj content change every time, and i have some like this: List<???> = (List<???>)obj; I have another variable holding current obj Type: Type t = typeof(obj); Can i do some thing like that??: List<t> = (List<t>)obj; Obs: I no the current type in the list but i need to cast , and i dont now another form instead: List<Contact> = new List<Contact>(); Help Plz!!!

  I've spent far too much time trying to figure this out. This should be the simplest thing and everyone who distributes Java applications in jars must have to deal with it. I just want to know the proper way to add versioning to my Java app so that I can access the version information when I'm testing, e.g. debugging in Eclipse and running from a jar. • Greasemonkey script not executed when unusual content loading is being used

  I'm trying to write a Greasemonkey script for Facebook and having some trouble with the funky page/content loading that they do (I don't quite understand this - a lot of the links are actually just changing the GET, but I think they do some kind of server redirect to make the URL look the same to the browser too?). Essentially the only test required is putting a GM_log() on its own in the script. If you click around Facebook, even with facebook.com/* as the pattern, it is often not executed. Is there anything I can do, or is the idea of a "page load" fixed in Greasemonkey, and FB is "tricking" it into not running by using a single URL?   Hey guys, OK, I am not an expert at Sidebar Gadgets, but I have this project I will have to make for school. Have tried to solve it on my own but I got really stuck. I will have to use the Cirip API (Cirip.ro being a kind of Twitter), and for the use of the API I have to input the username. I do so by means of the Settings, but when closing the settings there is no effect. Here is the code, but it's pretty messy.   Hello, Really getting in to javascript and looking around at some patterns. One I have come accross is the module pattern. Its seems like a nice way to think of chucks of functionality so I went ahead and tried to implement it with jQuery. I ran in to a snag though. These both use jQuery methods. The problem is that the .html() method works fine however i can not add the class. No errors result and the class does not get added. What is happening here? • Google Maps InfoBubble pixelOffset

  I am trying to implement a custom infoBubble that has the box opening to the side of a marker. This has turned out to be harder than expected. Using the normal infoWindow you can use pixelOffset. See here for the documentation Using infoBubble this does not seem to be the case. Is there anyway of using pixelOffset in an infoBubble, or something that will do the same thing?   I am writing my first Spring 3.0.5 MVC app and am confused about why my controller mappings aren't doing what I expect.
