• How do I get autotest (ZenTest) to see my namespaced stuff?

  Autotest is supposed to map my tests to a class, I believe. When I have class Foo and class FooTest, autotest should see FooTest and say, "Hey, this test corresponds to the unit Foo, so I'll look for changes there and re-run tests when changes occur." And that works, however... When I have Foo::Bar and Foo::BarTest, autotest doesn't seem to make the connection, and whenever I edit Foo::Bar, autotest does not re-run Foo::BarTest Am I doing something wrong? EDIT: File structure might be helpful. Here it is: Module and class files: lib/foo.rb lib/foo/bar.rb lib/foo/baz.rb Test files: test/unit/foo/bar.rb test/unit/baz.rb I would think that autotest is able to make the connection between Foo::Bar and Foo::BarTest, but apparently it doesn't.

  I am getting the following error when attempting to build my project in Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition: *Task failed because “sgen.exe” was not found, or the correct Microsoft Windows SDK is not installed. The task is looking for “sgen.exe” in the “bin” subdirectory beneath the location specified in the InstallationFolder value of the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A. You may be able to solve the problem by doing one of the following: 1) Install the Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5. 2) Install Visual Studio 2008. 3) Manually set the above registry key to the correct location. 4) Pass the correct location into the “ToolPath” parameter of the task.* I tried downloading Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5, and still get the error. I also tried downloading the Windows 7 SDK and .NET Framework 3.5 and still same result. I also tried to manually editing the registry to change the InstallationFolder and I tried repairing the Visual Studio install. The project was originally created on WinXP and I am trying to compile on a reformatted machine running Windows 7 Enterprise.

• Upgrade to Azure 2.2 SDK is causing roles to fail

  I have 3 worker roles and a web role in my project and I upgraded it to the new 2.2 SDK (required in VS2013). Ever since the upgrade, all of the worker roles are failing and they instantly recycle as soon as they're started. When the roles start, I'm getting these messages: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime Information: 200 : Role entrypoint . CALLING OnStart() Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime Information: 202 : Role entrypoint . COMPLETED OnStart() The thread 0x441c has exited with code 259 (0x103). Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime Information: 203 : Role entrypoint . CALLING Run() Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime Warning: 204 : Role entrypoint . COMPLETED Run() ==> ROLE RECYCLING INITIATED Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime Information: 503 : Role instance recycling is starting The thread 0x2684 has exited with code 259 (0x103) Two things draw my attention: I've started to see a bunch of errors "Cannot find or open the PDB file." But I don't know that this is directly relevant. I'm using VS 2013 and while the project lists the SDK as 2.2, the references within the roles are the 2.1 versions. Do I need to upgrade the components? Why wouldn't the project upgrade these automatically when I pulled the project into VS as it only support 2.2? Any thoughts on how to attach this are appreciated.

  I'm working on a PoSh project that generates CSharp code, and then Add-Types it into memory. The new types use existing types in an on disk DLL, which is loaded via Add-Type. All is well and good untill I actualy try to invoke methods on the new types. • XStream JavaBeanConverter not serializing properties

  Hello All, Attempting to use XStream's JavaBeanConverter and running into an issue. Most likely I'm missng something simple, or not understanding XStream's converter handling well enough. @XStreamAlias("test") public class TestObject { private String foo; public String getFoo() { return foo; } public void setFoo(String foo) { this.foo = foo; } } public void test() throws Exception { XStream x = new XStream(new XppDriver()); x.autodetectAnnotations(true); x.processAnnotations(TestObject.class); x.registerConverter(new JavaBeanConverter(x.getMapper())); TestObject o = new TestObject(); o.setFoo("bar"); String xml = x.toXML(o); System.out.println(xml); /* Expecting... <test> <foo>bar</foo> </test> But instead getting... <test> <foo/> </test> */ } I tried adding a trace on the TestObject.getFoo() method and it appears it is being called by XStream, but the data isn't being written to the output stream. After looking at the source for JavaBeanConverter, it looks like my implementation should work, which leads me to believe I haven't configured something correctly during the XStream setup. Am I just missing something simple? Thanks! • Why are my functional tests failing?

  I have generated some scaffolding for my rails app. I am running the generated tests and they are failing. for example test "should create area" do assert_difference('Area.count') do post :create, :area => { :name => 'area1' } end assert_redirected_to area_path(assigns(:area)) end This test is failing saying that : 1) Failure: test_should_create_area(AreasControllerTest) [/test/functional/areas_controller_test.rb:16]: "Area.count" didn't change by 1. <3 expected but was <2. There is only one field in the model : name. I am populating this so it cant be because I am failing to populate the only field. I can run the site and create an area with the name 'area1'. So reality is succeeding, but the test is failing. I cant ask why its failing, because Im sure theres not enough information here for anyone here to know why. Im just stuck at knowing what avenues to go down to work out why the test is failing. Even putting puts into the code dont print out... What steps can I take to track this down?

  Hello there, I had this code working yesterday, but it seems like I edited it a bit and lost the working version. I cant get this to work anymore. I basically want to scan a matrix from a .txt file. But each time it scans the first row, the second one is skipped, and it reads the third instead :( Here is my code : for(i=0;i<=test->rowmat1;i++){ for(j=0;j<=test->colmat1;j++){ fscanf(fin,"%f\t",&test->mat[i][j]); } fscanf(fin,"%*[^\n]",&test->mat[i][j]); } For example, for a matrix of : 1.00 2.00 3.00 4.00 5.00 6.00 7.00 8.00 9.00 10.00 11.00 12.00 If I extract 3 rows and 3 cols, I get : 1.00 2.00 3.00 7.00 8.00 9.00 Then fails, it wants to skip over the second line but there is nothing after 10 11 12 Why did it stop working ?   Dear All I have a WCF Service Deployed in a Console App with BasicHTTPBinding and SSL enabled on port using NetSH command and more over following attribute is set as well. [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] And also i have set the Throttling behavior as <serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls="2147483647" maxConcurrentSessions="2147483647" maxConcurrentInstances="2147483647" /> On the other hand i have created a Test Client(for load test) that initiates multiple clients simultaneously(multiple threads) and performs transactions on server. everything seems fine and working properly but on server the CPU utilization is doesn't grow so i added some logging to view the number of concurrent calls to the server and found that its never went over 6. i have reviewed the performance counter logging code more than twice and it seems fine to me. So i want to ask where is the problem in this situation and one more thing i haven't specified any kind of ContextMode or ConcurrencyMode yet. After this Post I noticed that whenever i start another Intance of Test Client my concurrent Server Calls counter increase to 2 like if i am running only 1 instance the maximum Concurrent Rcvd Calls will be 2 and if there are two instance the same value goes to 4 and so on. Is there any limit of Number of WCF Calls from once process? Looking for help Mubashar *Added on 17-March******************* Today i ran another test with one test client(with 50 concurrent users) on the same machine on which the server is running this time i am getting exact result what i wanted it to show i.e. Maximum concurrent Calls Rcvd by Server = 50 but i need to do it the same on others machines as well.   I need to read the location of the Temporary ASP.NET Files folder from VBScript as part of a post-installation task in an installer created using a Visual Studio 2008 deployment project. I thought I would do something like this: Set oShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell") strPath = oShell.RegRead("HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ASP.NET\2.0.50727.0\Path") and then concatenate strPath with "\Temporary ASP.NET Files" and be done with it. On an x64 system, however, I am getting the value from the WOW6432Node (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ASP.NET\2.0.50727.0), which gives me the 32-bit framework path (C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727), but on an x64 system, I actually want the 64-bit path, i.e. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727. I understand that this happens because the .vbs file is run using the 32-bit script host due to the parent process (the installer) being 32-bit itself. How can I run the script using the 64-bit script host - or - how can I read the 64-bit values even if the script is run using the 32-bit script host?

• SMO restore of SQL database doesn't overwrite

  I'm trying to restore a database from a backup file using SMO. If the database does not already exist then it works fine. However, if the database already exists then I get no errors, but the database is not overwritten. The "restore" process still takes just as long, so it looks like it's working and doing a restore, but in the end the database has not changed. I'm doing this in Powershell using SMO. The code is a bit long, but I've included it below. You'll notice that I do set $restore.ReplaceDatabase = $true. Also, I use a try-catch block and report on any errors (I hope), but none are returned. Any obvious mistakes? Is it possible that I'm not reporting some error and it's being hidden from me?   How can I prepare the configuration settings (App.config, maybe?) I need to use Enterprise Library Data Access Application Block in a C# console project? Following is what I currently trying with an App.config in the console project.
