• Switching DataSources on a ReportViewer in WinForms

  I have created a winform for the users to view view the many reports I am creating for them. I have a drop down list with the report name which triggers the appropriate fields to display the parameters. Once those are filled, they press Submit and the report appears. This works the first time they hit the screen. They can change the parameters and the ReportViewer works fine. Change to a different report, and the I get the following ReportViewer error: An error occurred during local report processing. An error has occurred during the report processing. A data source instance has not been supplied for the data source "CgTempData_BusMaintenance". As far as the process I use: I set reportName (string) the physical RDLC name. I set the dataSource (string) as the DataSource Name I fill a generic DataTable with the data for the report to run from. Make the ReportViewer visible Set the LocalReport.ReportPath = "Reports\\" = reportName; Clear the LocalReport.DataSources.Clear() Add the new LocalReport.DataSources.Add(new ReportDataSource(dataSource, dt)); RefreshReport() on the ReportViewer. • Custom RoleProvider with MVC 2.0 webconfig

  I have a custom MembershipProvider and a custom RoleProvider. I created the custom MembershipProvider by creating a SimpleMembershipProvider class which implements the MembershipProvider class. After that I changed my web.config and works. So I used the same approach creating a custom RoleProvider. Nothing special, just creating a SimpleRoleProvider class which implements the RoleProvider class. • Qt static build with static mysql plugin confusion

  I have built a Qt application which uses the MySQL library, but I am confused by the documentation on static versus shared builds. From the Qt documentation at http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/deployment-windows.html it says: To deploy plugin-based applications we should use the shared library approach. And on http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/deployment.html, it says: Static linking results in a stand-alone executable. The advantage is that you will only have a few files to deploy. The disadvantages are that the executables are large and with no flexibility and that you cannot deploy plugins. To deploy plugin-based applications, you can use the shared library approach. But on http://doc.qt.nokia.com/latest/plugins-howto.html, it seems to say the opposite, giving directions on how to use static plugins: Plugins can be linked statically against your application. If you build the static version of Qt, this is the only option for including Qt's predefined plugins. Using static plugins makes the deployment less error-prone, but has the disadvantage that no functionality from plugins can be added without a complete rebuild and redistribution of the application. ... To link statically against those plugins, you need to use the Q_IMPORT_PLUGIN() macro in your application and you need to add the required plugins to your build using QTPLUGIN. I want to build the Qt libraries statically (for easy deployment) and then use the static MySQL plugin. To do this, I did NOT use the binary distrubtion for Windows. Instead, I've started with the source qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.7.4 Is the following the correct way to do a static build so that i can use the static MySql plugin? configure -static -debug-and-release -opensource -platform win32-msvc2010 -no-qt3support -no-webkit -no-script -plugin-sql-mysql -I C:\MySQL\include -L C:\MySQL\lib This should build the Qt libraries statically AND the static plugin to be linked at run-time, correct? I would NOT need to build the Mysql Plugin from source separately, correct? If I was to subtitute "-qt-sql-mysql" for "-plugin-sql-mysql" in above, it would include the MySQL driver directly in the QT static libraries, in which case I would NOT need to use the plugin at all, correct? • WPF Memory Leak

  I have an WPF form that I myself did not create, so I am not very good at WPF. It is leaking badly though, up to 400 MB and closing the form does not help. The problem lies in my application loading all the pictures at once. I would like to only load the ones visible at the moment. It is about 300 pictures and they are a bit large so my WPF-form suffers from loading them all. I have a DataTemplate with my own type that has a property Thumbnail. • Wix XmlFile is keeping SqlDatabase from creating databases

  I've got a Wix project made up of several fragments. One of those fragments has the database components, another has a component that manipulates xml files. When I include the XmlFile element to manipulate a file, the databases defined by the SqlDatabase do not get created. If I comment out the XmlFile, then the databases do get created. When looking at the install logs when using XmlFile and when not, they are almost exact copies of each other, except that the SqlDatabase calls would be completely missing, and the XmlFile calls would be in their place. Is there a known bug here? Or am I doing something I shouldn't be? This isn't a killer for our app, since I can move the things I'm putting in the xml file into the registry, but I'd rather not do that. I am using Wix 3.5.

The event handlers contain code which check if InvokeRequired and BeginInvoke where required. At random interval I am receiving the following exception, and have no idea on how where to find this? • Maven freezes while perfoming scm:update on VSS

  Im trying to get source files from VSS using Maven. But when I execute command mvn -DvssDirectory="C:\Program Files\VisualSourceSafe\win32" scm:update the log goes to [INFO] [scm:update {execution: default-cli}] [INFO] Executing: cmd.exe /X /C ""C:\Program Files\VisualSourceSafe\win32\ss" Get $/TEST -R -I- -GWS" [INFO] Working directory: C:\temp\test and then nothing happens. No error, no success. Can someone advice how to proceed with downloading sources from VSS?

• Mercurial client error 255 and HTTP error 404 when attempting to push large files to server

  Problem: When attempting to push a changeset that contains 6 large files (.exe, .dmg, etc) to my remote server my client (MacHG) is reporting the error: "Error During Push. Mercurial reported error number 255: abort: HTTP Error 404: Not Found" What does the error even mean?! The only thing unique (that I can tell) about this commit is the size, type, and filenames of the files. How can I determine which exact file within the changeset is failing? How can I delete the corrupt changeset from the repository? Someone reported using "mq" extensions, but it looks overly complicated for what I'm trying to achieve. Background: I can push and pull the following: source files, directories, .class files and a .jar file to and from the server, using both MacHG and toirtoise HG. I successfully committed to my local repository the addition for the first time the 6 large .exe, .dmg etc installer files (about 130Mb total). In the following commit to my local repository, I removed ("untracked" / forget) the 6 files causing the problem, however the previous (failing) changeset is still queued to be pushed to the server (i.e. my local host is trying to push the "add" and then the "remove" to the remote server - and keep aligned with the "keep everything in history" philosophy of the source control system). I can commit .txt .java files etc using TortoiseHG from Windows PCs. I haven't actually testing committing or pushing the same large files using TortoiseHG. Please help! Setup: Client applications = MacHG v0.9.7 (SCM 1.5.4), and TortoiseHG v1.0.4 (SCM 1.5.4) Server = HTTPS, IIS7.5, Mercurial 1.5.4, Python 2.6.5, setup using these instructions: http://www.jeremyskinner.co.uk/mercurial-on-iis7/ In IIS7.5 the CGI handler is configured to handle ALL verbs (not just GET, POST and HEAD).   Hello, I'm using SCO Unix, with old version of ghostscript (7.7). When I convert the postscript source file to pdf otput file, It's content is visible on the SCO machine. But when I copy the pdf file into windows, and open it with adobe acrobat, all I can see is a blank page. Does anybody have a solution to this?

  Hi, I use in WFP Caliburn.Micro Framework. I need bindable richTextbox for Document property. I found many ways how do it bindable richTextBox. But I have one problem. From parent window I open child window. Child window consist bindable richTextBox user control. After I close child window and use memory profiler view class with bindabelrichTextBox control and view model class is still hanging in memory. - this cause memory leaks. If I use richTextBox from .NET Framework or richTextBox from Extended WPF Toolkit it doesn’t cause this memory leak problem. I can’t identified problem in bindable richTextBox class.
