On the page above in the left side mashable has sharing options which stays on the screen when you scroll the page.     I want to redirect to another page using Server.Transfer and I have this simple code: if (Page.IsPostBack) { try { Server.Transfer("AnotherPage.aspx"); } catch (Exception) { throw ; } } But I'm getting an error: "Error executing child request for AnotherPage.aspx.". Could not find the solution on the net. Just to mention, Response.Redirect works flawlessly.

  • disable horizontal scrolling by finger swipe

    This may just be a mac issue, but I have a page with an element which is twice the size of the page and is moved into view dynamically. in my css I have overflow-x:hidden set so that this element won't create an ugly bottom scollbar, the problem is on my laptop (and probably on ipads and other devices) I can just swipe with two fingers to scroll and view this content. This breaks the whole layout and looks really bad, and I am looking for a way to completely disable this horizontal scrolling action with javascript or css. Thank you

  • MVC how to implement two different post actions

    I'm developing this really important squirrel application. There is a wizard where squirrels are added to the database. So say there are three screens to this wizard: Squirrel name details Height and weight Nut storage So at each step of the wizard I'm wanting to save the details to the database. The Height and weight view looks like: @model HeightWeightViewModel @{ ViewBag.Title = "Height and weight"; } <h2>Height and weight</h2> @using (Html.BeginForm()) { <h3>Height</h3> <div> @Html.EditorFor(model => model.Squirrel.Height) </div> <h3>Weight</h3> <div> @Html.EditorFor(model => model.Squirrel.Weight) </div> <input type="submit" value="Previous" /> <input type="submit" value="Next" /> } So I'm hoping that Previous and Next buttons will save these details. The Previous button while saving will also take the user to the Squirrel name details page. The Next will save and take the user to the nut storage page. I got the Next button working using: public ActionResult Edit(SquirrelViewModel squirrelViewModel) { _unitOfWork.SaveHeightWeight(squirrelViewModel); return RedirectToAction("Edit", "NutStorage", new { id = squirrelViewModel.Squirrel.Id }); } So the Next button saves the details and sends the user to the NutStorage page. The Previous button does the same as Next but I actually want it to send the user to the first step of the Wizard after saving. I'm not sure how to do this. Would I have another method to post to for Previous? I can't image how to implement this. Maybe I should be using ActionLinks instead of submit buttons but that would not post the details to be saved. Can anyone suggest how to get the previous button to save and send the user to the first page of the wizard while still having the Next functionality working?

    Hi all, how can I set cookies in the middle of a document, without incurring a 'headers already sent' error? What I'm trying to do is make a log out script (the log in cookie setting works...so odd. Is it because it's enclosed in an if statement?) however I've already echoed the page title and some other stuff at the top of the page, before I've made this logout happen. Thanks!

    I want to parse a html-page that unfortunately requires JavaScript to show any content. In order to do so I use a small python-script that pulls the html-code of the page, but after that I have to execute the JavaScript in a DOM-context which seems pretty hard. To make it even harder I want to use it in a server environment that has no X11-server. Note: I already read about http://code.google.com/p/pywebkitgtk/ but it seems to need a X-server.

    Is it possible to get a value from the external CSS of a page if the element that the style refers to has not been generated yet? (the element is to be generated dynamically). The jQuery method I've seen is $('element').css('property','value');, but this relies on element being on the page. Is there a way of finding out what the property is set to within the CSS rather than the computed style of an element?

    I created a page using the MVC structure called 'sections' ( view is located in the app/views/sections folder, model in the model folder and the controller in the controller folder) when i request the variable $test, it works fine without any errors.. When i want to request this variable in my home.ctp, it provides me with an error, saying that the variable is undefined.. Is there any way in cakePHP to request this variable on any page you want it to? Thnx in advance!

    Hi All, I'm running into a similar problem as this: link text I've done the fix as in the answer but now I end up with an error a couple lines later: $$([overlay = (new Element("div", {id: "mbOverlay"})).addEvent("click", close), center = new Element("div", {id: "mbCenter"})]).setStyle is not a function [Break on this error] ]).setStyle("display", "none") It's on this page: link text When you click on 'showreel' it should pop up into the media box, but instead it just goes to a new page. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • PHP, MySQL: Display only required parts of my website in sister website

    Hi all, Now I have my website built on PHP & Mysql. Consider this like a forum. Now when a user posts a reply in my website 1 (ex. www.website1.com), I want to be able to show the starting thread and it's related replies in a sister website of mine. I want to do this in a way that it does not show the rest of the page & other page contents (like logo etc.). I don't think iframe would be a solution because an iframe would embed the whole page and the users visiting my sister website (totally different domain i.e. www.website2.com) would be able to see all the page contents, like logo etc. I want to avoid that. I want to make them see only limited information from website 1 and only the info. that I intend. I hope that makes sense. In a way, you could say that I am trying to replicate my 1 website, and show only a limited part of it. Users browsing 2nd website can post a reply in the 2nd website and it should automatically be posted & visible to the visitors of the website 1. Users of website 1 should not know that a user of website 2 has posted it. They would feel that some user from website 1 has posted it. Do I have to use 2 separate mysql DB or just 1? I think it would be problematic if I am trying to use different DB. I also feel I might have to face DB connectivity issues as I can connect to only 1 DB at a time. It's basically like users of website1.com should feel that they are replying to users of website1.com & users of website2.com should feel that they are replying to users of website2.com. (I need it this way to bridge the gap between them). At the same time I want to make the front end of the websites different so that they don't feel that they are replying to some other users outside the domain. These websites would be under my control and I will have access to the source code at any time. If I need to change the source code, these changes are welcome. Is this really possible?   • Absolute positioning error in IE6 with dropdown list

    I have a div, that I'm using JavaScript to position, so that when someone hovers over an image, it displays a tooltip message that follows along with the pointer. (Using tooltip-0.2.js ) The problem is that when a user goes to the page in IE6, a disabled dropdown box on the page is showing through this absolutely positioned tooltip when it tries to hover over it. How can I get this dropdownlist to know its proper place? ;)

I am trying to style a progress bar using CSS in a JSP page but get this error when using chrome's developer tools: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/plain. <%@ include file="../include/css/default.css" % And in the CSS file: background:url(../images/bg_bar.gif) no-repeat 0 0; Could anyone explain why this is and show how I can use this CSS in my page?
