Is there a place to set header and library path for ALL projects in VC2010 express?
When i set them they seem to only apply to a single project (eg i have to set them everytime i start a new project).
It is said here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mikeormond/archive/2010/12/09/writing-cross-platform-xaml-applications.aspx
Within Visual Studio, if you add files to the project via “Add Existing Item”, and select the “Add As Link” option you can work on the same file from multiple projects.
Oh my I'm on a project which have multiple countries, brands, components layers and each time I will add a file you want me to "Add as Link" ? This is a nightmare maintenance !
Is there any other solutions ?

A certain open source project is hosted at Gitorious. Suppose that at some future point X they decide to close source / delete their project from Gitorious.
Will there exist a public archive of the source code, in something like The Wayback Machine?
I'm using
{% url facebook_xd_receiver %}
in one of my HTML files. This works just fine when I run my project using the command
python manage.py runserver
But the same project stops running and gives me a "TemplateSyntaxError" at the line
{% url facebook_xd_receiver %}
Can anyone please tell me what could be the difference between the dev server run through the command line and the apache server.
Is there anything I'm missing out on while configuring the Apache server? Or is it a Django problem?
I have a windows service that hosts a WCF service which uses a sql server express database. I also have a setupproject to intall the windows service. What are the steps I need to take to make sure SQL Server Express installs silently and that the database is setup correctly?
I am trying to use diffstrings.py from Three20 on my iPhone project, and I can't find the proper format for the path arguments (as in "Usage: diffstrings.py [options] path1 path2 ...").
For example, when I run the script in my Xcode project directory like this
~/py/diffstrings.py -b
it analyzes just the main.m and finds 0 strings to localize,
then it diffs against existing fr.lproj and others, and finds that thes contain "obsolete strings".
Can anyone post examples of successful comand line invocations of diffstrings.py, for options -b, -d and -m?
I've been using matplotlib in a Python project. It is great.
I have now to plot data in a C++ project. Is anyone aware of a plotting library in C or C++?
Note that I cannot accept GPL licensed libraries.
What is the basic setup on the subject?
Let say I have a QByteArray, and I need to encrypt it with simple password.
And then decrypt it in another piece of code
Just a very simple setup
I'm using subeclipse plugin for eclipse for SVN. My project looks like this :
ProjectName\
- branches
- special_
- tags
- trunk
I have currently checked out project from special_ and I've modified and added one class, how can I merge the code which I updated/added to trunk ? I'll take anything into consideration
So I am having a very difficult time finding a solution to this problem. Is there any way that I can inherit macros from another project. For example, for the post build I would like to use the macro for the RemoteMachine address that is located in one project in all the other projects. I was thinking something like (ProjectContainingMacro.$RemoteMachine) ... does anyone have any suggestions?
I would like to have a subroutine as a member of a hash which is able to have access to other hash members.
For example
sub setup {
%a = (
txt => "hello world",
print_hello => sub {
print ${txt};
})
return %a
}
my %obj = setup();
$obj{print_hello};
Ideally this would output "hello world"
Is there a way to specify where the .classpath file is located in an Eclipse project. By default it is at the top level of the project. Being able to change that location would be helpful.
What is the best way to organize a MVC2 web project (as complex as stackoverflow)?

I wrote a wrapper DLL for some native c++ functions and compiled it in c++/CLI, then I added a reference to C# project, functions indicates there, but when I try compile project I get this error:
"Additional information: Could not load file or assembly 'lib, Version=1.0.3742.39593, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. "

On the Apple guide, there is a step before building the AppStore version:
Open the Xcode project and Duplicate
the “Release” configuration in the
Configurations pane of the project's
Info panel. Rename this new
configuration “Distribution”.
Why this step is needed? Can I skip this step and use the "Release" configuration to build the final version for AppStore?
I'm using maven to build the project and compile failed because I put class Test2 in Test.java,
but is it because of maven or simply because java itself doesn't support this?
BTW,how can I open a maven project with eclipse?
Hi,

I have a post-build script after building my c# project that will place one of the dll files in a specific directory. This dll is saved in SVN. My question is, is there a way that when building my project, it knows that this dll has not changed and would know not to be copied over to the directory so the there will not be a modified copy for the SVN?
Is it possible? Run a cvs diff in terminal at the project root that outputs only modified files (like local files that aren't in source control and local modified files).
I'm running cvs diff --brief but I still have too many results since my project is large, and with a lot of subdirectories - it shows the whole hierarchy and I just want to know which files are different from HEAD revision. I'm using Linux.
I have a repeater to call a child... my code is as follows:

projectPositions="{XML(projectRP.currentItem.positions)}"
creationComplete="Alert.show(String(projectRP.currentIndex))"
/>
</mx:Repeater>
For some reason, the creationComplete piece isn't s
In VS2005 I have multi-project solution.
Two of the projects use an external set of DLLs to create a report, using
report definition data taken from an SQL Server. One of the projects
creates the report just fine, but the other project results in an Exception.
I have checked that the projects are referencing the same versions of the
all the DLLs and they appear to be identical.
What could the cause of this problem?
I am working on a testing project using mutating technique. My project requires to manipulate a Java classfile and re-execute the classfile multiple times for testing. My implementation need to re-execute the whole system again after one manipulation, and that is not efficient. I am wondering whether I can save the JVM state right before executing a desired instruction in the classfile, so that I can start from that state after each manipulation.
Thank you.
