I've added the users i want to log in with to a group (sshusers) and added that group to /etc/sshd_config: AllowGroups sshusers I'm not sure what to try next as i don't get a clear error anywhere. I would like to enable specific accounts to log in so that i can disable root. This is a GridServer/Media Temple (CentOS).

    I'm looking for a tool to sync my bookmarks locally, without uploading them to any website (like xmarks does.) Example: i currently use 1Password to sync my logins/passwords. They are not uploaded to any website. The program simply syncs between devices (Mac OSX, iPad, Windows) on the local network, without the need of any remote server/database. Now i'm looking for a tool that does (kind of) the same thing, for bookmarks.

  • Enable FTP Publishing on IIS7?

    I've followed the steps in http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/303/adding-ftp-to-a-web-site/ However, when I get to the part where it says to click "add ftp publishing to website", the option is not visible in the IIS management console. I've verified that the "FTP Publishing Service" is installed in the server manager, and I can see it running in the services applet and via netstat -a. Suggestions?

  • Increasing resolution in FreeNX headless server

    Hi. I'm running a FreeNX server on headless CentOS machine, and the resolution seems to be locked on 800 x 600. I tried editing the xorg.conf file, but without success so far. Has anyone succeed of running the FreeNX remote under 1280 x 1024 resolution, and can post a working configuration? Thanks!     I have hosting service hosted on more than 20+ Plesk servers, version 11. As in the previous versions, the passwords were not encrypted, then if i had to design some tools to manage the hosting accounts, i just picked up the cleartext passwords from the Database. but as now the passwords are encrypted, is there any way i can decrypt the passwords? through API or any other way so that i can integrate my php based hosting management with plesk 11?

    My browsing and other 'internet' activity (dropbox,digsby etc) halts when I connect to my office VPN using Cisco Systems VPN client Version 5.0.04.0300 on my Windows 7 Ultimate.The only option left for me at this time is to use my office proxy to enable the connection back. I tried doing the ucheck "Use default gateway on remote network" solution as mentioned on a previous post Windows 7 VPN stops web browser but I don't see that option on the properties of "Cisco systems VPN adapter" connection properties.   • BES 5.0 SSL Certificate

    I have recently installed BES 5.0 on a Hyper-V (i know it's not officially supported) 64-bit Server 2008 box with a remote SQL 2005 database. I successfully installed and was able to access the Blackberry Administration Service but was getting untrusted certificate errors so I followed the documentation for importing CA and BAS certificates with the Java keytool. They imported successfully but now the BAS webpage shows a "page cannot be displayed" error. TSupport is no help at all. Any ideas?

    I'm ssh'd into a remote computer and xforwarding is working fine... but as soon as I "sudo su -" or "sudo su user2" it no longer Xforwards anything giving me the error: X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. xterm Xt error: Can't open display: localhost:10.0 Any Ideas? Thanks

    I am writing a BASH shell script to upload all the files in a directory to a remote server and then delete them. It'll run every few hours via a CRON job. My complete script is below. The basic problem is that the part that's supposed to figure out whether the file uploaded successfully or not doesn't work. The SFTP command's exit status is always "0" regardless of whether the upload actually succeeded or not.     I've done some reading and apparently the main obstacle to fast remote profile syncing is that Samba takes a long time to transfer lots of little files like cookies. After reading Roaming Profiles: Best Practices , I plan to use Folder Redirection, but I want my users to be able to login as rapidly as possible, even if it means that their data is still coming in when they reach their desktop. Is there a way to do this with GPO or a third party add-on that can load user profile data faster/speed up the login process for users?

    I have a Dell Precision M4500, Intel Core i5 CPU, running Linux (Ubuntu Lucid), and would like to keep an eye on CPU temperature. I've tried lm-sensors: sensors-detect didn't find any sensors; following its hint ("This is relatively common on laptops, where thermal management is handled by ACPI rather than the OS.") I tried acpi -V but got nothing thermal. The Gnome panel applet "Hardware Sensors Monitor" reports on GPU temperature but nothing else. What should I be trying next?

  • Does Windows 7 RC handle non Windows Media Center remotes yet?

    I'm mostly a Linux geek, but while I will be trying to make my first Arch Linux installation in a virtual machine to learn and make my installation script for the true install, I need a simple OS and Windows 7 was better than Windows XP Media Center cause Media Center is outdated on XP. I tested it has a beta but my Hauppauge wintv-pvr usb2 remote wasn't working but the tv-tuner worked well and I haven't tested Windows XP Mode and my printer Epson Stylus Photo R300. Do someone know this hardware and if the XP Mode is easily supported?

  • APC switched rack PDU: Startup outlet state

    I have an APC Switched Rack PDU powering a number of servers in a remote datacentre. After a recent power outage, I noticed that the outlets did not automatically default to the On status once power was restored. Having reviewed the Web UI, I cannot find this option. I'm not certain of the model number (it doesn't appear to be visible in the Web UI), but I think it's this one. Is it possible to configure these PDU units to automatically power outlets after a cold start?

  • Logitech Optical Mouse Frozen In Middle of Windows XP Pro Screen

    I have a Logitech Optical Mouse/Keyboard. I have been using them just fine with the system drivers for almost a year now. I recently updated my Kaspersky software and rebooted. Now the mouse is frozen in the middle of my screen. I am not able to login to the Windows XP Pro box that has the frozen mouse (because i can't work the mouse) but am able to remote desktop to this computer. Things I know / have tried: When I boot on the problem computer, I am able to use the keyboard, but not the mouse. I have installed the latest version of Logitech's SetPoint (with the updated drivers) on the problem computer (via remote desktop) and that didn't seem to matter. I bought new batteries for the mouse and that didn't matter. I have tried the mouse/keyboard on another computer and the mouse works just fine there. My suspicion is that the Kaspersky install has overwritten a driver of some sort. Things I have not done (and would appreciate detailed steps if you feel this is the way to go): 1) Uninstalled all the mouse drivers on the machine and reboot. Then, reinstall. Note: When I get to the Device Manager I don't see an option for Human Interface Devices (where the mouse device is). Here are my options: Computer, Disk Drives, DVD/CD-Rom drives, Floppy controllers, IDE ATA/ATAPI, Imaging devices, Network Adapters, Other devices, Ports, Processors, Sound, video, and gaming, System devices, USB controllers. Also, I should point out that Video Controller is the only thing under Other devices and it has a yellow exclamation mark. The same is true for all the items under Universal Serial Bus controllers. I think this means I have to update my BIOS but, since my mouse was working just fine without doing that, I don't think that is my problem. So, how do I get to my Mouse Device? 2) Update my BIOS. Note: As pointed out above, I don't think this matters as my mouse was working just fine under my computer's current BIOS version. Thanks for your help.

However Administrators (this includes Domain\Domain Admin also) should not be affected by this. They should be able to connect to terminal server with out any interruption.     Does anyone know of a program that would allow you to control multiple IR cameras via usb (computer jack) to rs232 (camera hardware)? We have a cameraswitcher, very low key, that I can press buttons and it willswitch the view of the camera from one to the next. currently I control the cameras by sellecting the cameras via a remote control for change of angles. Does anyone know anything that could give me some ability to do manual controls via my computer?. Please Advise, thanks!
