  • Creating an HTTP-Redirected Virtual Directopry in IIS 6.0 without specifying physical path & WMI/ADS

    My question is : Is it possible to create a working IIS 6.0 Virtual Directory with providing Physical Path of the Virtual Directory.? I know that manually, it is not possible via IIS but programmatically such a virtual directory can be created. If an HTTPRedirect is set on that virtual directory but the site physical path is not specified, then will it work? Simply stated, how to create an HTTp-redirected Virtual Directory , directly without specifying any physical path to a folder or network share. Here is my code.     I have a list of color values encoded as signed integers in a legacy INI file that I need to translate into (A)RGB values with .NET. An INI example: [INI_Section] Color=-2147483633 Doing something like: Color.FromArgb(-2147483633) gives an alpha-blended version of a color that is not at all what I expect. Is there a .NET method for translating these legacy colors properly? Note that pInvoke to OlePro32.dll is not an option.

    I used core data to do this: NSManagedObjectContext *m = [self managedObjectContext]; Foo *f = (Foo *)[NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"Foo" inManagedObjectContext:m]; f.created_at = [NSDate date]; [m insertObject:f]; NSError *error; [m save:&error]; Where the created_at field is defined as type "Date" in the xcdatamodel. When I export the sql from the sqlite database it created, created_at is defined as type "timestamp" and the values look like: 290902422.72624 Nine digits before the . and then some fraction. What is this format? It's not epoch time and it's not julianday format. Epoch would be: 1269280338.81213 julianday would be: 2455278.236746875 (notice only 7 digits before the . not 9 like I have) How can I convert a number like 290902422.72624 to epoch time? Thanks!

    Hi, My app. is started from both the commandline and by using an JNLP file. Im running java version 1.6.0_14 First i had the problem that i created the Buffered input and output streams in incorrect order. Found the solution here at StackOverflow . So starting from the commandline works fine now. But when starting the app using Webstart, it ends here java.io.EOFException at java.io.ObjectInputStream$PeekInputStream.readFully(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream$BlockDataInputStream.readShort(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readStreamHeader(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at <..>remoting.thinclient.RemoteSocketChannel.<init>(RemoteSocketChannel.java:76) I found some posts regarding similar problems; at bugs.sun.com - identifies problem as solved in 6u10(b12)? at ibm.com - identifies cookies problem The latter suggests that there is a problem in Webstart with cookies. It doesn't seem to be acknowledged as a proper java bug though.. Still i am a bit lost in the solution provided regarding the cookies. Can anyone expand on the cookie solution? Many thanks.

    If I am exposing a internal member via a Collection property via: public Collection<T> Entries { get { return new Collection<T>(this.fieldImplimentingIList<T>); } } When this property is called what happens? For example what happens when the following lines of code are called: T test = instanceOfAbove.Entries[i]; instanceOfAbove[i] = valueOfTypeT; It's clear that each time this property is called a new reference type is created but what acctually happens? Does it simply wrap the IList<T> underneath, does it enumerate over the IList<T> and to create a new Collection<T> instance? I'm concerned about performance if this property is used in a for loop.

In the development, QA, UAT and PRD environments everything works fine. But on another machine I now need to install the web service on (which I cannot debug, unfortunately), the directory string is 'C:Files'. Just to be sure I double checked the .NET version on the different machines (I thought perhaps the usage of @ before a string was version-dependent); all machines use 2.0.50727.     Guys / Gals i have a real basic Team Foundation Server 2010 question. For those of you who have played around with tfs 2010 is it a lot more light weight than tfs2008 is? I remember installing all the pieces needed for TFS 2008 one one machine at work. I remember it being a pain to install (i know 2010 is supposed to be much better) We wanted to play around with it a little bit to see if it met our needs. Well it brought that machine to a screeching halt. I'm needing a source control repository for home and i thought why not just install tfs 2010 so i can get familiar with it and maybe in the future i can make a better sell to my organization and FINALLY get them to move off of Source Safe but my concern is i only have one server at home (granted i already have SQL Server installed) and don't want to buy a machine just for this purpose. I'd also like to get more familiar with CI too. Anyways, if team is going to be to heavy i'll just use subversion but i'd like to use TFS if possible. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Ncage
