  • How to change Jquery UI Slider handle

    I want to modify the stock JQuery UI slider so that the handle has a arrow on it rather than being a square. i.e. I want to use a custom image as the handle.   • Problems with transitionWithView and animateWithDuration

    I have problems with transitionWithView and animateWithDuration. One of my animateWithDuration blocks doesn't transition, it is a sudden change, and transitionWithView does not temporarily disable user interaction. I have checked the docs and believe I am doing everything correctly, but obviously something is wrong. Here are the two blocks of code: This is in my main View Controller ViewController which has three container views/child view controllers. This block moves one of the container views, but does not block the user from other interactions in ViewController while the transition is occurring. [UIView transitionWithView:self.view duration:0.5 options:UIViewAnimationOptionCurveEaseOut animations:^ { CGRect frame = _containerView.frame; frame.origin.y = self.view.frame.size.height - _containerView.frame.size.height; _containerView.frame = frame; }completion:^(BOOL finished) { // do something }]; This is in one of my container view controllers. Edit What I am trying to accomplish is moving a container view in ViewController and set the text and image properties of a label, text view, and image view; all of which are in the main view. The details of these properties are sent via the child view controller. The transitionWithView is in a method called toggleFlavoredOiveOilsTableView which is called in didSelectRowAtIndexPath. I think the problem is that I am trying to call two different animation/transition blocks at the same time.

    I am having an issue with the DHTMLX Calendar with the onChange in the input field. I am initialisating the code with the following: jQuery(document).ready(function($){ var calendar; calendar = new dhtmlXCalendarObject(["date"]); calendar.hideTime(); calendar.setDateFormat("%d/%m/%Y"); $('.lightbox').lightbox(); $('#slider').cycle(); }); function checkDate() { var date = $("[name='date']").val(); alert(date); } In the form i am using: <input type="text" name="date" id="date" onchange="checkDate();" /> How it should be (and was working with JQuery UI datepicker) once the date is entered into the input field the onchange function would fire. However in this case: the onchange with this calendar does nothing. I have tried changing the following to this: jQuery(document).ready(function($){ var calendar; calendar = new dhtmlXCalendarObject(["date"]); calendar.hideTime(); calendar.setDateFormat("%d/%m/%Y"); calendar.attachEvent("onChange",function(date, state){ checkDate(); }); $('.lightbox').lightbox(); $('#slider').cycle(); }); function checkDate() { var date = $("[name='date']").val(); alert(date); } But the onchange event happens before the date is entered, ie when i click on the input field. Reason for changing from JQuery UI to this DHTMLX is that JQuery UI Datepicker does not support all platforms (iPhones/iPads etc) and DHTMLX does.

The REST services return data in one of several different formats. I am requesting a JSON response. I want to be able to modify the response (remove or add parameters) before the response is sent to the client. However, I am having difficulty converting the stream to a string that I can modify. To that end, I have implemented the following code in order to try to inspect the stream.   • Jquery datepicker popup not closing on select date in IE8

    I've got a web form with a start date field. I've tied a jquery datepicker to the txt field. Now when I choose a date in FF, the selected date is populated in the text box and the calendar popup closes. However when I do the same thing in IE8, the selected date is populated in the text box but the popup remains open. I've also noticed that a script error is generated as soon as I select a date in the popup calendar. I'm using jquery 1.3.2, jquery-ui 1.7.2, and .NET 3.5. I've stepped through the javascript and if (typeof(targetedControl.Validators) != "undefined") returns false and then if (targetedControl.tagName.toLowerCase() == "label") returns false too. Thus the length is null or not an object error. Now I'm not sure if the datepicker popup not closing in IE and the script error in the WebResources.axd file are related errors, but I'm leaning that way. Can anyone tell me why the popup isn't closing?

    Hi I am following this tutorial http://developer.android.com/intl/de/guide/tutorials/views/hello-tabwidget.html and have completed it. Now I would actually like to add you know some controls to these tabs like textboxes(text edit). How do I do this? I go to my mail.xml using eclipse as my ide and go to layout view and I now get a NullPointerException so I can't even drag stuff onto the layout anymore.   • Serving static content from cookie less domain and mod_deflate

    I have two domain. One domain with my main website and the other with js/css/etc.. files, static content. mod_deflate is enabled for both domains, but when i run ySlow in FireFox it says none of my static content is compressed. When i bring back the js or css file to my normal domain it gets compressed right. Only when its served from the other domain is it not compressed. Do i have to do some more configuration for this to work? I am using this line in my .htaccess file AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-javascript text/css text/html text/xml text/plain application/x-httpd-php I tried to but the line in my httpd.conf file but it gives me the same results. PS. If this is more of a serverfault question i am sorry for this. But i see a lot of questions here concerning mod_deflate and ySlow

I've added an event handler to the PropertyChanged event, and it is never fired. However, if I do not use a template and instead use a DataGridTextColumn, everything works fine. I'm sure this sounds like an easy fix - I'm only using a TextBox in my editing template, so why not us a DataGridTextColumn? The problem is that I want to have a multi-line textbox, so using the DataGridTextColumn is not an option. Any suggestions? records... i am not able to find any solution /control using which i an do it easily. coz my field's value is in attribute named "Value" when in the examples i saw its between opening and closing tag.. i have 2 methods to do so. 1 . i make one page to edit a single record and pass id of record to that page on editing. open the page in iframe on same page to edit and in page_load get data from database for id passed and fill it in control. 2 . i store xml on server as physical file and use it in page i opened in iframe to edit the record. so i am confused... can anybody please guide me that what shpould i do to let user provide interface to edit this xml data/user profile ?

  • Offer the posibility to preview a personalized product

    I want to give my client's the possibility to preview their personalized product. In a nutshell, personalization means the user specifies some text and positions the text somewhere on an image of the product. A great example of what I'd like to achieve is this. Select a frame size and then hit Personalize, after you select the occasion and add the text you can chose to preview the product. The hardest thing to do here, as I see it, is to generate the image. The positioning of text will probably be made in javascript. Do you have any recommendations? Just as a note, using scene7 is not a possibility. Thanks.

  • Binding collection indexes to a WPF DataGrid at runtime

    After trying to develop our own control to display a table of data we stumbled on the WPF toolkit DataGrid and thought we were saved. A couple hours later I'm scratching my head trying to figure out if it can do what we really want it to do. The DataGrid seems to be based on displaying various properties of a single object, where I think I need something that can display a collection's items, I want to display a table of strings with a variable number of rows and a variable number of columns. Each row represents the state of a number of inputs at a given time. The number of samples may change, and the number of inputs may change at runtime. As a result, I can't create a custom object that represents a row with a property for each input. This makes the DataGrid binding more complicated, since I can't bind to a fixed property for each column. I thought I found a workaround for this by binding to ".[" + channelIndex + ]" but it hasn't worked out quite the way I wanted. Right now I have a collection of a collection of strings that represents the two-dimensional array of strings. I'm using ObservableCollection so string change event notifications work, but I can use any collection type needed. It looked like everything was working great until I realized that every row was showing the same line of data. Binding in C# is not my strong suit, so I'm kind of lost on what's going wrong.   • C#, Lotus Interop: Getting Message Information

    I'm using Interop.Domino.dll to retrieve E-mails from a Lotus "Database" (Term used loosely). I'm having some difficulty in retrieving certain fields and wonder how to do this properly. I've been using NotesDocument.GetFirstItem to retrieve Subject, From and Body. My issues in this regard are thus: How do I retrieve Reply-To address? Is there a list of "Items" to get somewhere? I can't find it. How do I retrieve friendly names for From and Reply-To addresses? When I retrieve Body this way, it's formatted wierdly with square bracket sets ([]) interspersed randomly across the message body, and parts of the text aren't where I expect them. When a delegate is set, auto complete just stops working.     I'm starting a process within my C# application which runs a console application. I've redirected standard input and output, and am able to read a few lines via StandardOutput.ReadLine(). I'm convinced I have the ProcessStartInfo configured correctly. The console application, when started, outputs a few lines (ending with a "marker" line) and then waits for input. After receiving the input, it again outputs a few lines (ending again with a "marker" line), and so on. My intention is to read lines from it until I receive the "marker" line, at which point I know to send the appropriate input string. My problem is that, after several iterations, the program hangs. Pausing the debugger tends to place the hang within a call to StandardOutput.EndOfStream. This is the case in the following test code: while (!mProcess.StandardOutput.EndOfStream) // Program hangs here. { Console.WriteLine(mProcess.StandardOutput.ReadLine()); } When I'm testing for the "marker" line, I get the same kind of hang if I attempt to access StandardOutput.EndOfStream after reading the line: string line = ""; while (!isMarker(line)) { line = mProcess.StandardOutput.ReadLine(); } bool eos = mProcess.StandardOutput.EndOfStream; // Program hangs here.     How do I properly register javascript blocks in an ASP.NET MVC 2 (RTM) Editor template? The specific scenario I'm in is that I want to use Dynarch JSCal2 DateTimePicker for my standard datetime picker, but this question is in general to any reusable javascript package. I have my template working properly now but it has my JS and CSS includes in my master page and I would rather only include these things if I actually need them: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../Content/JSCal2-1.7/jscal2.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../Content/JSCal2-1.7/border-radius.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="../../Scripts/JSCal2-1.7/jscal2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="../../Scripts/JSCal2-1.7/lang/en.js"></script> So obviously I could just put these lines into my template, but then if I have a screen that has 5 DateTimePickers, then this content would be duplicated 5 times which wouldn't be ideal. Anyways, I still want my View's Template to trigger this code being put into the <head> of my page.   • Cisco SR520w FE - WAN Port Stops Working

    I have setup a Cisco SR520W and everything appears to be working. After about 1-2 days, it looks like the WAN port stops forwarding traffic to the Internet gateway IP of the device. If I unplug and then plug in the network cable connecting the WAN port of the SR520W to my Comcast Cable Modem, traffic startings flowing again. Also, if I restart the SR520W, the traffic will flow again. Any ideas?
