  • Is there a way to change the console Icon at runtime

    i'm not interested in changing the actual icon in the EXE that shows up in windows explorer, but just the icon that shows up in the top left of the console window. Already i set the icon in the visual studio project and i'm getting it nicely in windows explorer, and also that icon is showing up in the console window, i just want to be able to change it in the console windows at runtime. I.e lets say i wanted to put an icon that shows there are new emails or something.

I am already using a webservice (not WCF service) and would like to know if I can add two methods say GetSessionVariable and SetSessionVariable in my existing WebService Class?     We are changing from SourceSafe 2005 to visual svn. How can an exisiting project be added to a solution Example: I create solution1 with 3 projects and add to /trunk I create solution2 with 1 project and add to /trunk In solution1 I add existing project from solution2, but I cannot add to subversion. I get "out of working copy, use the VisualSVN-Set Working Copy root menu" In SourceSafe2005 it would just link, what is the procedure for VisualSVN? Branch? Regards _Eric

  • TFS 2010: Is MSBuild going to be dead because of Windows Workflow?

    MSBuild in TFS 2010 has been replaced by Windows Workflow 4.0. It means when you are creating a Build Definition, you won't have a TFSBuild.proj to edit instead you must edit a workflow to customize your build. BTW am I correct if I say Microsoft is not supporting MSBuild in TFS 2010 and learning MSBuild as a TFS 2010 Team Build administrator doesn't worth? And another more question: Is microsoft going to replace Visual Studio Projects' language from MSBuild to something like Windows Workflow? Many Thanks

  • buffer overrun throw return address

    Hi, When I throw in a method A, it causes buffer overrun but when I return, it runs fine. I thought throw moves execution to the caller method so the address it goes to should be the same as return address, but i am obviuosly wrong. Is there a way to see what address throw goes to in Visual Studio debugger? Thank you

    I have a page that uses routing and it works fine under Visual web developer. But when I deployed to IIS 7. The page that uses routing doesn't seem to recognize the user is logged in. I think I read about this but had not seen it until now. Hope there is a fix! Environment deployed too is ASP.NET 3.5 SP1, SQL SERVER 2008, and IIS 7 integrated. Thanks.

A little visual indicator should indicate if a field is associated with a comment, and on clicking on the element should open or trigger an action for displaying that particular comment.   • Try-Catch equivalent in Objective-C / xcode

    I get an app crash in main.m in my app and have no idea why the error is happening because xcode doesn't show me where the crash occurs, it shows me that it crashes at return UIApplicationMain(argc, argv ...) which tells me nothing. Is there a way to have in xcode / Objective-C the equivalent of a try/catch in Visual Studio to see exactly where the error is occuring? I'm using latest xcode (4.6 I believe). Thanks in advance.

    I am hosting a web application which uses OLEDB 12 to read an Excel file, but getting the error "'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine". Wonder if I should use lower version of OLEDB or Azure does not support OLEDB services at all. Before rewriting the program, just wanted to see if anyone knows a better alternative. But i couldn't find a way to combine both into one project so that the bootstrapper is installing the correct platform version.   • Convert vcproject to makefile for nix?

    So I have a visual studio 2008 project setup for a project I've been working on however its a sub project of a rather larger code base which is crossplatform, so in order to make my project complaint with the main source I need to make my project nix compilable. Is there some way I can generate a makefile based off my vcproject? or if not is there someway I could generate a makefile any other way than writing it manually as it appears confusing as all hell when I open them up.
