  • Random loading swf files into main swf with countdown timer

    ok guys a question, can this be done or has it already been done, or can someone point me in the right direction (be aware i an a total newbie with action script) i have a main swf movie about 600px x 400 px what i want is this to run for say 30 seconds, then i want a countdown timer in the bottom corner for say 10 seconds, after this i want it to randomly load another swf file over the top of the original, and then the timer repeats for 10 seconds and repates the random loading of another swf file over the top etc, etc, etc so whats the best way around this

  • Can't find method in the activity

    I'm starting with Scala + Android. I'm trying to wire a button action to a button without the activity implementing View.OnClickListener. The button click fails at runtime because the method cannot be found. The document I'm working through says that I need only declare a public void method taking a View on the action, and use that method name in the layout. What have I done wrong?   • Slow retrieval of data in SQLITE takes a long using ContentProvider

    I have an application in Android (running 4.0.3) that stores a lot of data in Table A. Table A resides in SQLite Database. I am using a ContentProvider as an abstraction layer above the database. Lots of data here means almost 80,000 records per month. I am already experiencing significant slow down when retrieving this data from Table A. The problem is that when I retrieve data from this table, I first put it in an ArrayList and then I display it. Obviously, this is possibly the wrong way of doing things. I am trying to find a better way to approach this problem using a ContentProvider. But this is not the problem that bothers me. The problem is for some reason, it takes a lot longer to retrieve data from other tables which have only upto 12 records maximum. I see this delay increase as the number of records in Table A increase. This does not make any sense. I can understand the delay if I retrieve data from Table A, but why the delay in retrieving data from other tables. To clarify, I do not experience this delay if Table A is empty or has less than 3000 records. What could be the problem?

  • Visual Studio 2008 Web Project problem with PNG files

    I've added a PNG file to a directory in my VS2k8 webforms project, and when I run the app, it refuses to render my image - it even knows the dimensions but renders a box with a red X. Oddly enough, if I double click the PNG file within VS2k8, it opens up in the IDE and displays fine (but only within the IDE). Does anyone have any clues? The path is correct.. I just have a basic default.aspx page with this in the body <img src="img/logo.png" /> if i navigate to img/logo.png in the browser, it shows a box with the same dimensions as my image, but a red x. Its finding the image, just not rendering it. It's showing up in IE running under the vs2k8 web server (localhost:5512/default.aspx) I've dropped a JPG in the same directory, and it shows up just fine. I'm not sure what type of PNG it is, but here is the kicker.... If i make an HTML file that references that image, copy both this HTML file and PNG file to my webserver (or just double click on the HTML page), it comes up JUST FINE. Its leading me to believe that the Visual Studio web server may not recognize PNG files (at least this one) properly?

  • Execute less compiler anywhere on the computer

    I'm having a little problem with executing *.cmd files so I can execute them anywhere on the computer with cmd. What I exactly want is to execute the less.cmd file, which support optional arguments and uses lessc.wsf (Less.js compiler for Windows Script Host) for converting less css to pure css. The less.cmd contains: ::For convenience @cscript //nologo "%~dp0lessc.wsf" %* What I've done so far: added absolute path to lessc.cmd to the PATH system variable and moved .cmd in the PATHTEXT system variable to the beginning. Also did this: From a command prompt; assoc .bat should return with ..bat=batfile If not assoc .bat=batfile to restore the default file type association. ftype batfile should return with batfile="%1" %* If not ftype batfile="%1" %* to restore the default "Open" action for the file type. This still doesn't work unless I approach the cmd file with a absolute path in cmd, if I enter lessc anywhere else then I get C:\Intel Intel is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. , I've restarted my computer more than once to be sure changes will take effect. I hope somebody has the answer.

    Hi, I'm using custom healthmonitoring events in ASP.NET We recently moved to a new server with default High Trust Permissions. Literature says that healthmonitoring and custom events should work under Medium or higher trust (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb398933.aspx). Problem is it doesn't. In less than high trust I get a SecurityException saying The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy It works in Full trust or when I remove the inheritance of System.Web.Management.WebErrorEvent.   • Disabling JComboBox and retaining original item list

    My action listener on a JComboBox invokes a thread. I would like the component to be disabled until the thread completes. I have tried calling seEnabled(false) when the thread start and setEnabled(true) when it completes. Unfortunately setEnabled(false) clears the combo box list as well. Is there a way of disabling the component but retain the original list?

Unfortunately it is not starting on boot, and I'm not getting any errors. Maybe the experts can help... So it isn't even making it to the BroadcastReceiver. I think I'm deploying the APK and testing correctly, just running Debug in Eclipse and the console says it successfully installs it to my Xoom tablet at \BatteryLogger\bin\BatteryLogger.apk. Then to test, I reboot the tablet and then look at the logs in DDMS and check the Running Services in the OS settings. Does this all sound correct, or am I missing something? Again, any help is much appreciated.

    I have a php script that takes in some XML data and parses it, displaying various bits of information I pull out of it. This has been working fine for over 6 months, until recently it now fails mysteriously on a certain tag. The XML is generated from an outside source(a conferencing bridge), so I have no control over how it is built. I have put the xml through an online validator and it returned no errors. The code also works fine when I connect to another conferencing bridge and get the same output. I have been using XMLReader class so far and tried switching to SmipleXML, but it fails when I create the SimpleXML object using the data.   • Possible defect with jQuery ':checked' selector (finding checked checkbox when there are none)

    Found a strange thing. The following code is supposed to set a default value for a UI element based on whether one of a group of checkboxes (all having attribute name="privacy") is checked (in say, a form postback). If there is no value in the HTML sent by the server (the form is not a postback), the default value should be firstMenuItemKey. Otherwise, it should be the one checked in the underlying HTML. However, while this works on the first call to the URL that includes the form, a refresh of the page will set the value of defaultPrivacyValue to one of the privacy checkboxes'. I've checked that the server isn't checking the checkbox before the script runs (it's not). I've also checked whether somewhere else in the script is checking the checkbox (it's not). var defaultPrivacyValue = firstMenuItemKey; $('input[name=privacy]:checked').each(function() { defaultPrivacyValue = $(this).next().find('.name').text(); }); selectMenuItem(defaultPrivacyValue); When I chaged the selector to 'input[name=privacy][checked=checked]' it worked as expected. Is this a defect in the jQuery implementation of DOM retrieval based on the ':checked' selector???? I'm using jQuery 1.4.2. Thanks for any help you can give.

  • Adding jQueryui Buttons to dynamically added content

    I have a list of items that have some jQueryUI buttons associated with them. After an action (deleting an item) I want to reload the list via ajax. Only problem is when I do so the JQueryUI buttons no longer show, just the standard markup. I know I can use jQuery.live() for dynamically adding click handlers etc, but how do I apply a jQueryUI button() to them?
