    I'm watching something on my MCE and I can jump back to see something. How can I (if at all) extract a piece of that video that is recorded on my drive somewhere? If I press record it starts recording from now and past live buffer is lost. Is there a plugin that can do this?

    I'm looking for recommendations on how to automate / simplify deployment from a git repository (github) to a hosting service. The hosting service supports FTP (yuck) / SSH / SFTP access. Any good tools out there to give push-button deployment of new revisions? I know it's not a hard script to write, but when you start thinking about things like roll-back and multiple sites, it gets complicated enough that I'd rather not re-invent the wheel.

  • why dont my "FN + Volume up/down" keys work?

    i have a toshiba laptop with windows vista, i turned on my computer once and it had a little red x on the volume speaker, i reinstalled the drive(im not sure if i did that right though) and now sounds works. but i cant lower the sound with "FN and Up/Down arrows", or mute. is there a way to fix this somehow? thanks.

  • How come I can't redirect TCP ports on this wireless router?

    I am configuring a router to redirect TCP port 5900 (yes, this is for VNC) to a specific IP address on the network. Here is what I have: From a local computer on the same network, I can telnet to 192.168.1.64 (port 5900) just fine. However, when trying to telnet to the machine (port 5900) using its external IP address, it doesn't work. (The connection times out.) The router is a Gigaset SE567, if that helps.

  • Exchange not delivering the mail

    I'm having an issue where my Exchange Edge Transport server receives mail (found in logs) and then it vanishes, never ending up in the users mailbox, I have a edge subscription setup between it and the main Exchange server, how can I go about tracing the message to figure out what is broken? I also have found records of the message in the logs on the main Exchange server. Thanks a ton for any help Edit: If I change port 25 on my main router to point to the main exchange server as opposed to the Edge Transport, email comes through fine form external domains and delivered in the correct mailbox

  • Asus K55A Windows 8.1 touchpad smart gestures not working

    Took me a bit to realize that since upgrading to 8.1 my touchpad smart gestures (two finger scroll, top down swipe, left in swipe, ect) don't work. I have read up a little online but can't seem to find an answer or fix that 1) sounds trustworthy and 2) is put into language and steps that I understand.     I am looking to use monit to keep an eye on my site. I want it to treat it the site like an external user so am testing the url but it doesn't seem to follow redirects. The content check is being performed on the html of the redirect. #request works: if failed url http://www.sharelatex.com/blog/posts/future.html content == "301" #request fails if failed url http://www.sharelatex.com/blog/posts/future.html content == "actual content" Finding out how to get the url check to follow 30X would be great.

  • Possible to (re)sync 2 drives into RAID 1 Array?

    Have an XP machine with 2 drives configured in a RAID 1 array. Trying to fix a boot problem, I took the drives out to run chkdsk on them, and I accidentally got them out-of-sync (event logs, etc). Is there any way to duplicate the contents of one drive onto the other to restore their RAID-ness, or have I really messed myself up?

    We have a windows 2003 AD and are using Folder redirection to redirect the users My Documents to a share. Is there a way to save certain filetypes (*.mp3, *.avi) or folders (My Music, My Pictures) on the user's hard disk instead of saving on the netwerk share? I'm aware of the GPO setting 'Exclude directories in roaming profile' but I'm not sure if that will do what I want (we're using redirected folders)

    I'm writing this on a MacBook Air 13" (the ones just released), but I have a problem. BootCamp provides no easy way of turning off the bluetooth or wifi radios, and nor are there any hotkey combinations on the keyboard, nor any hard or soft switches on the body to toggle these radios. As I'll be travelling a lot with this machine, what's the best way for me to comply with the cabin service crews' instructions and disable the radios before takeoff, and reenable them after landing?

    It's always been hard for me to add a music folder with subfolders to Windows Media Player's playlist. I double click a file in the folder (or click on WMP shortcut), WMP opens, and I drag the other files or folders manually to the playlist. Isn't there an option to add a right-click context menu item that can automatically add all audio contents in a folder (with subfolders) to WMP playlist?

    On my laptop I use both the trackpad and an external USB mouse. I'd like different settings for each device. e.g. the mouse is high resolution so I prefer to use a slow mouse settings, and for the trackpad I prefer to use the "Enhance pointer precision" option. But I can only seem to set these option for both devices, not individually. Can this be done? [Windows 7]
