    I want to crawl a website and store the content on my computer for later analysis. However my OS file system has a limit on the number of sub directories, meaning storing the original folder structure is not going to work. Suggestions? Map the URL to some filename so can store flatly? Or just shove it in a database like sqlite to avoid file system limitations?

  • File size in Python server

    We have server on Python and client + web service on Ruby. That works only if file from URL is less than 800 k. It seems like "socket.puts data" in a client works, but "output = socket.gets" - not. I think problem is in a Python part. For big files tests run "Connection reset by peer". Is it buffer size variable by default somewhere in a Python?

    I'm trying to write a Postgres trigger such that when a configuration table is updated, a backend component is notified and can handle the change. I know that Oracle has the concept of a web/HTTP trigger, where you can execute an HTTP GET from the Oracle instance itself to a URL that can then handle the request at the application layer. I'm wondering if Postgres (v. 9.0.5) has the same feature, or comes with anything similar (and, subsequently, how to set it up/configure it)?

I tried reverse('registration.views.register', kwargs={'success_url':'/test/' }) but that doesn't seem to work. I've been trying for hours and can't get my mind around getting it right. Thanks

    I recently set up a local copy of Wordpress, added some content and created a child theme. Then I moved it to my webserver, changed the config file, changed the "localhost" occurences in my SQL file to my online URL. I also changed my database prefix from what I had locally on all tables and in the config file. Everything works well on the outside. But then as I log-in is get the: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

  • Android: how to get the walking distance between two geo coordinats?

    I used this query URL http://maps.google.com/maps?q=from+A+to+B&output=kml ,which is given in the answer to this question. But after I tried it, it doesn't work with coordinates. It works with address names tho. I guess I could use google's geocoding to get the addresses first. But I wonder if there is another way to get the walking distance between two coordinates?

    Hey everyone, I'm trying to import an external SWF with a scrollbar, calling out to an external .AS, into my main SWF. Someone told me, it's an issue that my scrollbar isn't instantiated yet, but stopped short of helping me how to fix the problem. Here's the error below: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at Scrollbar/init() at Sample2_fla::MainTimeline/scInit() at flash.display::DisplayObjectContainer/addChild() at Sample2_fla::MainTimeline/frame1() On my main SWF, I was to click a button and load my external SWF. I want to then click another button in the external SWF and reveal my scrollbar (alpha=1;). The scrollbar is the issue.
