  I need to add a span tag to the title of an actionlink to output the following html <li><a href="#" id="topmenu1" accesskey="1" title=""><span>Homepage</span></a></li> I currently have <li><%= Html.ActionLink("Homepage", "Index", "Home", null, new { @id= "topmenu1" , @accesskey = "1", @title = "" } ) %></li> which gives me <li><a accesskey="1" href="/" id="topmenu1" title="">Homepage</a></li> without the span tag around Homepage I cannot use <span>Homepage</span> as the title variable of the actionlink, that doesn't work.

  I have a function call in a program that I'm maintaining has 28 arguments for a printf call. It's printing a lot of data in a CSV file. I have problems following finding where what goes and I have some mismatches in the parameters types. I enabled -Wall in gcc and I get warnings like: n.c:495: warning: int format, pointer arg (arg 15) n.c:495: warning: format argument is not a pointer (arg 16) n.c:495: warning: double format, pointer arg (arg 23) The function is like this: fprintf (ConvFilePtr, "\"FORMAT3\"%s%04d%s%04d%s%s%s%d%s%c%s%d%c%s%s%s%s%s%s%s%11.lf%s%11.lf%s%11.lf%s%d\n", some_28_arguments_go_here); I would like to know if there is a vim plugin that highlights the printf format specifier when i go with the cursor over a variable. • Newbie Question: Read and Process a List of Text Files

  I'm completely new to .NET and am trying as a first step to write a text processing program. The task is simple: I have a list of 10,000 text files stored in one folder, and I'm trying to read each one, store it as a string variable, then run it through a series of functions, then save the final output to another folder. So far I can only manage to manually input the file path like this (in VB.NET): Dim tRead As System.IO.StreamReader Public Function ReadFile() As String Dim EntireFile As String tRead = File.OpenText("c:\textexample\00001.txt") EntireFile = tRead.ReadToEnd Return EntireFile End Function Public Function Step1() .....   I'm trying to "faux-fork" a process (an email being sent via SMTP) in my web application, and the application is built on Kohana. $command = 'test/email'; exec('php index.php '.$command.' > /dev/null/ &', $errors, $response); I'm getting an error -- Notice: Undefined index: SERVER_NAME When I look into Kohana's index.php file, I see that it is looking for a variable named SERVER_NAME, but I guess it is coming up NULL because Kohana couldn't detect this value and set it prior to run. Any ideas how to get Kohana to run via command line?

The problem is that I'm trying to use a variable with ::ldap::add and it's just not working. I am trying to take the 2nd column of FilteredOutput and use it to populate a new 1d numpy array called timeSeriesArray using the following line of code: timeSeriesArray=p.array(FilteredOutput[:,0]) I got this syntax from the following link. But the problem is that I am getting the following error message: TypeError: list indices must be integers, not tuple Can anyone show me the proper syntax for populating the 1d array timeSeriesArray with the contents of the second column of the 2d array FilteredOutput?

  I have a string "1112224444' it is a telephone number. I want to format as 111-222-4444 before I store it in a file. It is on a datarecord and I would prefer to be able to do this without assigning a new variable. I was thinking: String.Format("{0:###-###-####}", i["MyPhone"].ToString() ); but that does not seem to do the trick. ** UPDATE ** Ok. I went with this solution Convert.ToInt64(i["Customer Phone"]).ToString("###-###-#### ####") Now its gets messed up when the extension is less than 4 digits. It will fill in the numbers from the right. so 1112224444 333 becomes 11-221-244 3334 Any ideas?

  I am trying to run a batch file. the file is located here: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\getfile.bat I use this in oracle forms 6i: first i assign this path to a variable: tmp_msg := 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\getfile.bat' then I use the host command: host( 'cmd /c' || tmp_msg, no_screen); This is exactly as I have it. It doesn't give me an error, but I don't get the result that I'm expecting.   I have this method (simplified): void DoSomething(IEnumerable<int> numbers); And I invoke it like this: DoSomething(condition==true?results:new List<int>()); The variable results is formed with a LINQ select condition (IEnumerable). I was wondering is this List<int>() the best way (the fastest?) to pass an empty collection, or is new int[0] better? Or, something else would be faster, a Collection, etc.? In my example null wouldn't be ok.

  Hi -i'm trying to find all the anchor tags and appending the href value with a variable. for example <a href="/page.aspx">link</a> will become <a href="/page.aspx?id=2"> <A hRef='http://www.google.com'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> will become <A hRef='http://www.google.com?id=2'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> I'm able to match all the anchor tags and href values using regex, then i manually replace the values using string.replace, however i dont think its the efficient way to do this. Is there a solution where i can use something like regex.replace(html,newurlvalue)

  Can I somehow find out what was the change in the textfield? I would want to compare the old text with the new text ... the problem is, that I have multiple textAreas in a tab-editor, and all the textAreas are watched by one eventListener. I want to get a value calculated by the next formula: globalChangeCount += thisTextArea.currentCharacterCount - thisTextArea.oldtCharacterCount where the globalChangeCount is a value modified by all changes in any of the textAreas. I am searching for these values through the event variable, but can't seam to find the old text of the textArea.

  Being fairly new to C++ I have a question bascially concerning the g++ compiler and especially the inclusion of libraries. Consider the following makefile: CPPFLAGS= -I libraries/boost_1_43_0-bin/include/ -I libraries/jpeg-8b-bin/include/ LDLIBS= libraries/jpeg-8b-bin/lib/libjpeg.a # LDLIBS= -L libraries/jpeg-8b-bin/lib -llibjpeg all: main main: main.o c++ -o main main.o $(LDLIBS) main.o: main.cpp c++ $(CPPFLAGS) -c main.cpp clean: rm -rf *.o main As you can see I declared the LDLIBS variable twice. My code is compiling and working if I use the makefile above. But if I deactivate the first LDLIBS entry and active the second one I get ld: library not found for -llibjpeg. I assume my libjpeg.a is just not called libjpeg but bears some different name. Is there a way to find out the name of a given "libraryfile" libsomething.a or libsomething.dyn?

  I'm facing problems with initializing a std::string variable using "" (i.e. an empty string). It's causing strange behavior in code that was previously working. Is the following statement wrong? std::string operationalReason = ""; When I use the following code everything works fine: std::string operationalReason; operationalReason.clear(); I believe that string literals are stored in a separate memory location that is compiler-dependent. Could the problem I'm seeing actually be indicating a corruption of that storage? If so, it would get hidden by my usage of the clear() function. Thanks.

  Is it bad practice to concatenate objects when used in this context: $this->template->head .= new View('custom_javascript') This is the way i normally add extra css/js stuff to specific pages. I use an MVC structure where my basic html template has a $head variable which I set in my main Website_controller. I have used this approach for a while as it means I can just add bits and pieces of css/js stuff from whichever page/controller needs it. But having come across a problem in PHP 5.1.6 where the above code results in "Object ID #24", the result of toString() not being called i think, I am rethinking whether i should just fix this to work in PHP 5.1.6 or if i should rethink this approach in general. Any pointers appreciated!

  I have the following relation in my rails app: genre - has many - authors authors - belong to genre and has many books books - belongs to authors and belongs to users (users can add books to the db) in my controller I have: @books=current_user.books(:include => [:author => :genre], :order => 'created_at DESC') While I am able to use the @books variable in my views - nothing is done correctly (i.e. its not showing me only books added by that user, and its not descending by created_at)... any ideas? -- Also I'm using clearance for the user auth, so current_user without the @ in the controller seems to work fine Actually, I think the relation is working, only the sort might not be working...

  Is there an easy way to limit the number of times a view can be accessed by a given IP address per day/week? A simplified version of the technique used by some booksellers to limit the number of pages of a book you can preview? There's only one view that this limit need apply to--i.e. it's not a general limit--and it would be nice if I could just have a variable overlimit in the template context. The solution need not be terribly robust, but limiting by IP address seemed like a better idea than using a cookie. I've looked into the session middleware but it doesn't make any references to tracking IP addresses as far as I can tell. Has anyone encountered this problem?

  I've been running my Scrapy project with a couple of accounts (the project scrapes a especific site that requieres login credentials), but no matter the parameters I set, it always runs with the same ones (same credentials). I'm running under virtualenv. Is there a variable or setting I'm missing? Edit: It seems that this problem is Twisted related. Even when I run: scrapy crawl -a user='user' -a password='pass' -o items.json -t json SpiderName I still get an error saying: ERROR: twisted.internet.error.ReactorNotRestartable And all the information I get, is the last 'succesful' run of the spider.
