• Why does my count(*) query time out but the inline view whose records it is counting does not?

  Can't figure this one out... when I execute a select query it shows an explain plan cost of ~4500 and takes ~3 seconds to return. When I wrap that query (no changes) inside of: select count(*) from ( /*query here*/ ) It times out. It's at 5 minutes and counting now. I tried this in SQL Developer and Aqua Data Studio -- same results.

  I am building a small web app for a pharmacy to keep track of sales and stocks, so in short, in one page, the pharmacist will enter a bar-code and the item is displayed, pharmacist enters quantity (price will be automatically calculated) then next item and next and so on, I haven't worked with such a problem before so I would appreciate any advices/tips on how to do it, what to use and wither its already done in some tidy neat way I can just import into my page.   In Netbeans or in Eclipse, you can use "Find Usages" or "References" from the right click context menu. If a() calls b(), using the functionality from b() will show you a(). However, what I want is to be able to see some kind of tree or have an option to see all usages of a given/class or method, such that if z() calls a() that using the functionality will show both z() and a(). Any IDE plugins or external tools that can do this?

• I can't get my Android program to run correctly on an AVM in Eclipse

I have followed all the tutorials on the developer site for installing Eclipse, the SDK and the ADT plugin. When trying to run a simple Hello World program, everything seems to compile correctly, but then the virtual machine comes up empty.   I have applied a color theme called Vibrant Ink (or some modification of it), and since I installed Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools all my statement completion boxes are undreadable. What setting changes the colors of these boxes? Preferrably, I'd like to change the background color to something darker, but if that's not possible at least I want to change the text color.
