I've been googling for about whole day and found none open source library with scaling algoriths used in loop. Is there such library from wich i could port some methods? I found http://www.codeproject.com/KB/GDI-plus/imgresizoutperfgdiplus.aspx but I really don't understand His approach to the problem, and porting it will be a pain in the ... Wikipedia tells a matematic approach. So my question is: Where can I find easy-to-port graphic open source library wich includes simple scaling algorithms? Of course if such library even exists :)

As first requirement, generated self signed certificate using OpenSSL and added certificate to wallet. The wallet location is specified in server configuration. • Permission denied for cvs server via ssh

  I cant create a new project by importing a java project via eclipse onto my cvs server via internet. I created a directory as root called /priv/cvs/. Then i called "cvs -d /priv/cvs/ init". I created a user named cvs and a groups called cvs. The repository is owned by cvs and in group cvs. Then i created a user "ben" and his only group is cvs. I "chrooted" the user "ben" accessing only the cvs functionality by not allowing to access the server via ssh with password, only by using a public key which is added in his home directory on the server in file authorized_keys2. the contect of authorized_keys2 is as follows: no-port-forwarding,no-X11-forwarding,command="/usr/bin/cvs server" ssh-rsa [public_key_content] rsa-key Connecting to the server works pretty fine. Eclipse asks for the passphrase for the private key to connect to the server. Authentication works and eclipse is able to run cvs commands. But when importing my project by using Team-Share Project. I get the error: The server reported an error: Permission denied projectname: cvs server: cannot open /priv/cvs/CVSROOT/config: Permission denied projectname: Cannot access /priv/cvs/CVSROOT The access right for the cvs root (/priv/cvs/) is set to 770. Which means that the owner, which is cvs and the group participants of the group cvs are allowed to read and write. Why do i get Permission denied? When i set the folder to 777, which means read/write to ALL, then it works. But i dont want that. I only want cvs users read/write to this folder? Is there something i misunderstood about access rules?

• Cisco 891w multiple VLAN configuration

  I'm having trouble getting my guest network up. I have VLAN 1 that contains all our network resources (servers, desktops, printers, etc). I have the wireless configured to use VLAN1 but authenticate with wpa2 enterprise. The guest network I just wanted to be open or configured with a simple WPA2 personal password on it's own VLAN2. I've looked at tons of documentation and it should be working but I can't even authenticate on the guest network! I've posted this on cisco's support forum a week ago but no one has really responded.   I am following the SampleSyncAdapter and upon startup, it appears that my SyncAdapter is not configured correctly. It reports an error trying to load its meta-data. How can I isolate the problem? You can see the other accounts in the system that register correctly. • Differing paths for lua script and app

  My problem is that I'm having trouble specifying paths for Lua to look in. For example, in my script I have a require("someScript") line that works perfectly (it is able to use functions from someScript when the script is run standalone. However, when I run my app, the script fails. I believe this is because Lua is looking in a location relative to the application rather than relative to the script. Hardcoding the entire path down to the drive isn't an option since people can download the game wherever they like so the highest I can go is the root folder for the game. We have XML files to load in information on objects. In them, when we specify the script the object uses, we only have to do something like Content\Core\Scripts\someScript.lua where Content is in the same directory as Debug and the app is located inside Debug. If I try putting that (the Content\Core...) in Lua's package.path I get errors when I try to run the script standalone. I'm really stuck, and am not sure how to solve this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. P.S. When I print out the default package.path in the app I see syntax like ;.\?.lua in a sequence like... ;.\?.lua;c:...(long file path)\Debug\?.lua; I assume the ; means the end of the path, but I have no idea what the .\?.lua means. Any Lua file in the directory?

  So between the two machines, there is no trust - they are in different domains. I've successfully connected to the remote machine using LogonUser API using logon type, *LOGON32_LOGON_NEW_CREDENTIALS*. I am able to retrieve the content of a directory using the UNC share, and create a file stream to "download" the file. So far so good. The only issue is that it seems, LogonUser fails unless there is an already open session. Let me clarify that. I found that the ASP.NET MVC page was not working this morning, specifically the page that retrieves the file list from this remote machine using LogonUser. I look at the log and I see in the stacktrace, *System.IO.__Error.WinIOError* above Directory.GetFiles call. I then remoted into the web server and tried to open the remote folder in the explorer using the same login/password used by the web site. It went through and I could see the files. I opened up the command prompt, type in net use, and I see that there is an open connection to the remote machine. Then I went back to the page and suddenly the page is working again. So, at this point, I am not exactly sure if the LogonUser is working as expected or not. If the call requires that a network connection opened first by other means, then this is certainly not satisfactory. Does anyone know what may be happening or suggest a workaround?

The scenario is that a Student may have many Problems concurrently which may affect their studies. Lecturers may have future communications with a student after an initial problem is logged, however as a Student may have multiple Problems the Lecturer may decide that the discussion they had is related to more than one Problem.   Hi, I originally intended to use MATLAB to tackle this problem but the inbuilt functions has limitations that do not suit my goal. The same limitation occurs in NumPy. I have two tab-delimited files. The first is a file showing amino acid residue, frequency and count for an in-house database of protein structures, i.e. A 0.25 1 S 0.25 1 T 0.25 1 P 0.25 1 The second file consists of quadruplets of amino acids and the number of times they occur, i.e. ASTP 1 Note, there are 8,000 such quadruplets. Based on the background frequency of occurence of each amino acid and the count of quadruplets, I aim to calculate the multinomial probability density function for each quadruplet and subsequently use it as the expected value in a maximum likelihood calculation. The multinomial distribution is as follows: f(x|n, p) = n!/(x1!*x2!*...*xk!)*((p1^x1)*(p2^x2)*...*(pk^xk)) where x is the number of each of k outcomes in n trials with fixed probabilities p. n is 4 four in all cases in my calculation. I have created three functions to calculate this distribution. # functions for multinomial distribution def expected_quadruplets(x, y): expected = x*y return expected # calculates the probabilities of occurence raised to the number of occurrences def prod_prob(p1, a, p2, b, p3, c, p4, d): prob_prod = (pow(p1, a))*(pow(p2, b))*(pow(p3, c))*(pow(p4, d)) return prob_prod # factorial() and multinomial_coefficient() work in tandem to calculate C, the multinomial coefficient def factorial(n): if n <= 1: return 1 return n*factorial(n-1) def multinomial_coefficient(a, b, c, d): n = 24.0 multi_coeff = (n/(factorial(a) * factorial(b) * factorial(c) * factorial(d))) return multi_coeff The problem is how best to structure the data in order to tackle the calculation most efficiently, in a manner that I can read (you guys write some cryptic code :-)) and that will not create an overflow or runtime error. To data my data is represented as nested lists. amino_acids = [['A', '0.25', '1'], ['S', '0.25', '1'], ['T', '0.25', '1'], ['P', '0.25', '1']] quadruplets = [['ASTP', '1']] I initially intended calling these functions within a nested for loop but this resulted in runtime errors or overfloe errors. I know that I can reset the recursion limit but I would rather do this more elegantly. I had the following: for i in quadruplets: quad = i[0].split(' ') for j in amino_acids: for k in quadruplets: for v in k: if j[0] == v: multinomial_coefficient(int(j[2]), int(j[2]), int(j[2]), int(j[2])) I haven'te really gotten to how to incorporate the other functions yet. I think that my current nested list arrangement is sub optimal. I wish to compare the each letter within the string 'ASTP' with the first component of each sub list in amino_acids. Where a match exists, I wish to pass the appropriate numeric values to the functions using indices. Is their a better way? Can I append the appropriate numbers for each amino acid and quadruplet to a temporary data structure within a loop, pass this to the functions and clear it for the next iteration? Thanks, S :-)

Some background on my problem: Given: A mesh of nodes of size (x,y) each with a value (0...255) starting at 0 A list of N input coordinates each at a specified location within the range (0...x, 0...y) Increment the value of the node at the input coordinate and the node's neighbors within range Z up to a maximum of 255. Neighbors beyond the mesh edge are ignored. (No wrapping) BASE CASE: A mesh of size 1024x1024 nodes, with 400 input coordinates and a range Z of 75 nodes. Processing should be O(x*y*Z*N). I expect x, y and Z to remain roughly around the values in the base case, but the number of input coordinates N could increase up to 100,000. My goal is to minimize processing time. Current results I have 2 current implementations: f1, f2 Running speed on my 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with Python 2.6.1: f1: 2.9s f2: 1.8s f1 is the initial naive implementation: three nested for loops. f2 is replaces the inner for loop with a list comprehension. Code is included below for your perusal. Question How can I further reduce the processing time? I'd prefer sub-1.0s for the test parameters. Please, keep the recommendations to native Python. I know I can move to a third-party package such as numpy, but I'm trying to avoid any third party packages. • apache: cgi links lead to a "you have chosen to open foo.cgi", although scriptalias is set

  Following this guide on CentOS 5.2, just getting nagios set up for the first time. The main page shows up just fine, but when I try to view any of the pages that should be generated by a cgi process, firefox prompts me to save the .cgi instead, so apache's obviously not understanding that it needs to run the cgi and get back some html from it. The .cgi files are indeed in the /nagios/cgi-bin/ directory, so I didn't specify the incorrect directory. Searching seemed to only provide people who had difficulty with permissions, which is not the issue here. This seems to me to be a pretty basic thing, but even with the excellent apache documentation, I'm at a bit of a loss (been using cherokee too much lately :) ).

  Is it possible to lock the aspect ratio of a JFrame in Java Swing? For example, if my window is 200px by 200px, and the user wants to resize it, I want the ratio between the width and the height at 1:1, so that if the new width is 400px, the new height is forced to 400px. I'm aware of ComponentListener and componentResized, but I'm having difficulty not getting it to go into an infinite loop of resizing, because I'm resizing the window in a resize listener. Thanks!

  I am switching to Emacs from TextMate. One feature of TextMate that I would really like to have in Emacs is the "Find in Project" search box that uses fuzzy matching. Emacs sort of has this with ido, but ido does not search recursively through child directories. It searches only within one directory. Is there a way to give ido a root directory and to search everything under it? Update: The questions below pertain to find-file-in-project.el from Michal Marczyk's answer. If anything in this message sounds obvious it's because I have used Emacs for less than one week. :-) As I understand it, project-local-variables lets me define things in a .emacs-project file that I keep in my project root. How do I point find-file-in-project to my project root? I am not familiar with regex syntax in Emacs Lisp. The default value for ffip-regexp is: ".*\\.\\(rb\\|js\\|css\\|yml\\|yaml\\|rhtml\\|erb\\|html\\|el\\)" I presume that I can just switch the extensions to the ones appropriate for my project. I just know that above will generate a nice 500 error. I have been looking around a lot on stackoverflow and other websites on the same subject, but all I see is people trying to exclude directories, not files. In the worst case I could add the script to a seperate directory and exclude the directory from the rewriterules, but rather not since the script should really remain in the root.   I'm looking at how to set up a mid-sized web application with Kohana 3. I have implemented MVC patterns in the past but never worked against a "formalized" MVC framework so I'm still getting my head around the terminology - toying around with basic examples, building views and templates, and so on. I'm progressing fairly well but I want to set up a real-world web project (one of my own that I've been planning for quite some time now) as a learning object. Example-based documentation is a bit sparse for Kohana 3 right now - they say so themselves on the site. While I'm not worried about learning the framework soon enough, I'm a bit at a loss on how to arrange a healthy code base from the start - i.e. how to split up controllers, how to name them, and how to separate the functionality into the appropriate models. My application could, in its core, be described as a business directory with a main businesses table. Businesses can be listed by category and by street name. Each business has a detail page. Business owners can log in and edit their business's entry. Businesses can post offers into an offers table. I know this is pretty vague, I'll be more than happy to go into more detail on request. Supposing I have all the basic functionality worked out and in place already - list all businesses, edit business, list businesses by street name, create offer, and so on, and I'm just looking for how to fit the functionality into a Kohana application structure that can be easily extended: Do you know real-life, publicly accessible examples of applications built on Kohana 3 where I could take a peek how they do it? Are there conventions or best practices on how to structure an extendable login area for end users in a Kohana project that is not only able to handle a business directory page, but further products on separate pages as well? Do you know application structuring HOWTOs or best practices for Kohana 3 not mentioned in the user guide and the inofficial Wiki? Have you built something similar and could give me some recommendations?

My first guess was that there's a Hardware problem of some sort and I asked my Hoster (it's a rented root server) to do a full hardwarecheck - they did, but couldn't find any problem. I don't know what and how they checked but their support team is usually quite good. I ran memtester and cpuburn myself and couldn't find any error either. Unfortunately I have no reliable way to reproduce these segfaults, they seem to be more or less random. On a hunch I disabled the firewall of the system and ran one of the programs that segfaulted regularily (imapsync) and it seemed to take longer to segfault than before, so the problem might be related to the network stack. Or could just be a random thing. Is there any data in the log above that could help me to isolate the troublemaker? Are there any known problems with the above hardware/software I overlooked when googling for it? Is there a way to prevent the kernel from autoloading modules (I probably don't need all these modules and one of them might be the culprit)

  Hello everybody. On my wordpress website one little thing doesn't work. Sometimes the Webserver adds the port number 16080 in the URL, which leads to an error (network timeout). Wrong: http://www.example.com:16080/about-us/weekly-program/?month=may&yr=2010 Correct: http://www.example.com/about-us/weekly-program/?month=may&yr=2010 Has someone a "Server port 16080 problem fix"? Is it possible, that I need to add a ServerName directive to the config file to tell the domain name of the server? Cheers Juri !!!update!!!
