  • cPanel/WHM IP Ban - How to Unban IP

    We are using htaccess basic authentication on one of our sites. One of our clients tried accessing the site and failed logging in multiple times. Now when visiting our site they simply get a "Can't Display Webpage" error. I believe I've had this before and I believe there IP's got banned after so many failures. I'm not sure where to go in WHM/cPanel to unban them - appreciate any assistance!! Thanks Loren

  • Reset View in Visual Studio 2008?

    For some reason, the layout and sizes of various panels in my copy of Visual Studio 2008 has gone all wonky -- for example, the Error and Output windows appear in the same tab group as my code, and their position doesn't persist if I attempt to manually move them where I want them to go. Is there some sort of way to reset all panels to their default state?

How do I go about returning the CreateNormalPost.ascx? My folders are structured as follows: Controllers PostController.cs PostLogicController.cs Views Post Index.aspx CreateNormalPost.ascx There is no folder for PostLogicController.

  • nginx - redirect a certain path to another domain

    Hey there. I am very unfamiliar with nginx, as a forewarning, and also can't find any actual references on the regex system they use. So right now it's a black box to me. All I want to do is redirect a user trying to go to www.mydomain.com/mydirectory/X to www.myotherdomain.com/X . Seems like I should be using the rewrite command but the syntax of the regex is eluding me. Thanks in advance.

Semicolons are also missing from Google's GO language, although the lexer uses a rule to insert semicolons automatically as it scans. Why do some languages not use semicolons and braces?

  • How to learn proper C++?

    While reading a long series of really, really interesting threads, I've come to a realization: I don't think I really know C++. I know C, I know classes, I know inheritance, I know templates (& the STL) and I know exceptions. Not C++. To clarify, I've been writing "C++" for more than 5 years now. I know C, and I know that C and C++ share a common subset. What I've begun to realize, though, is that more times than not, I wind up treating C++ something vaguely like "C with classes," although I do practice RAII. I've never used Boost, and have only read up on TR1 and C++0x - I haven't used any of these features in practice. I don't use namespaces. I see a list of #defines, and I think - "Gracious, that's horrible! Very un-C++-like," only to go and mindlessly write class wrappers for the sake of it, and I wind up with large numbers (maybe a few per class) of static methods, and for some reason, that just doesn't seem right lately. The professional in me yells "just get the job done," the academic yells "you should write proper C++ when writing C++" and I feel like the point of balance is somewhere in between. I'd like to note that I don't want to program "pure" C++ just for the sake of it. I know several languages. I have a good feel for what "Pythonic" is. I know what clean and clear PHP is. Good C code I can read and write better than English. The issue is that I learned C by example, and picked up C++ as a "series of modifications" to C. And a lot of my early C++ work was creating class wrappers for C libraries. I feel like my own personal C-heavy background while learning C++ has sort of... clouded my acceptance of C++ in it's own right, as it's own language. Do the weathered C++ lags here have any advice for me? Good examples of clean, sharp C++ to learn from? What habits of C does my inner-C++ really need to break from? My goal here is not to go forth and trumpet "good" C++ paradigm from rooftops for the sake of it. C and C++ are two different languages, and I want to start treating them that way. How?   • UIScrollView Infinite Scrolling

    I'm attempting to setup a scrollview with infinite (horizontal) scrolling. Scrolling forward is easy - I have implemented scrollViewDidScroll, and when the contentOffset gets near the end I make the scrollview contentsize bigger and add more data into the space (i'll have to deal with the crippling effect this will have later!) My problem is scrolling back - the plan is to see when I get near the beginning of the scroll view, then when I do make the contentsize bigger, move the existing content along, add the new data to the beginning and then - importantly adjust the contentOffset so the data under the view port stays the same. This works perfectly if I scroll slowly (or enable paging) but if I go fast (not even very fast!) it goes mad! Continiuing from where it left off! Just for the record, if scrolled slowly the log reads: 1294.500000 1290.000000 1284.500000 1280.500000 4476.000000 4476.000000 4473.000000 4470.000000 4467.500000 4464.000000 4460.500000 4457.500000 etc....
