  • Send raw data to USB parallel port after upgrading to 11.10 oneiric

    I have a laser cutter connected via a generic USB to parallel adapter. The laser cutter speaks HPGL, as it happens, but since this is a laser cutter and not a plotter, I usually want to generate the HPGL myself, since I care about the ordering, speed, and direction of cuts and so on. In previous versions of Ubuntu, I was able to print to the cutter by copying an HPGL file directly to the corresponding USB "lp" device. For example: cp foo.plt /dev/usblp1 Well, I just upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric, and I can't find any "lp" devices in /dev anymore. D'oh! What's the preferred way to send raw data to a parallel port in Ubuntu? I've tried System Settings Printing + Add, hoping that I might be able to associate my device with some kind of "raw printer" driver and print to it with a command like lp -d LaserCutter foo.plt But my USB to parallel adapter doesn't seem to show up in the list. What I do see are my HP Color LaserJet, two USB-to-serial adapters, "Enter URI", and "Network Printer". Meanwhile, over in /dev, I do see /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 devices for the 2 USB-to-serial adapters. I don't see anything obvious corresponding to the HP printer (which was /dev/usblp0 prior to the upgrade), except for generic USB stuff. For example, sudo find /dev | grep lp produces no output. I do seem to be able to print to the HP printer just fine, though. The printer setup GUI gives it a device URI starting with "hp:" which isn't much help for the parallel adapter. The CUPS administrator's guide makes it sound like I might need to feed it a device URI of the form parallel:/dev/SOMETHING, but of course if I had a /dev/SOMETHING I'd probably just go on writing to it directly.   • Operation times out trying to SSH outside LAN i.e. from internet to LAN no connection is established

    I run Ubuntu 12.04 and have no success connecting with SSH from "Internet". The router is a TL-MR3420 which is set up to forward requests to one of the NIC's on ubuntu machine (which has in total 3 NICs). I can SSH from a client on the "local" network/LAN. The forward mechanism in the router seems to work. If I stop SSH service on the Ubuntu machine and instead start one on the windows machine - it works like a charm. I do not use the Std port 22 but that shouldn't be an issue as far as I understand - sine it works on the same port on the win machine. Since my public IS isn't static I use a dynDNS service but as said earlier the same setup works from the win machine. The router is located on 192.168.0.1 The Ubuntu NICs has the following IP: eth2 192.168.0.100 , eth1 192.168.0.101 , eth0 192.168.0.102 and I have forwarded the "outside" request to 192.168.0.100 In regards for firewall settings on the Ubuntu machine I have disabled the ufw and the command ufw status give status: inactive. I don't now it this is relevant information but teh command iptables --list give: Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination I have tried to catch traffic with help of wireshark (a tool I'm not too used to use) and it seems as a few (3?) "requests" actually reaches the NIC but ... nothing happens. The syslog does not show any entries during these attempts. Perhaps it could be some routing issues but I have reached my level of competence and are stuck ... all help and support to get this sorted out is much appreciated. I'm new to Linux so please do not assume I have a configuration that is correct - but as I wrote earlier - if the client that initiate SSH is on the LAN it all works. PS:I have also tried to get VPN (PPP) working from Internet with no success - once again VPN works on the windows machine ... so my best guess is that this is related to how the ubuntu machine handles (IP) traffic and not the TL-MR3420 router or other network issues.

    Prologue In the previous chapter we have see how to create DB records with EF, now we are going to Some Questions about Oracle.   ORACLE One characteristic from SQL Server that differs from Oracle is “Identity”. To all that has not worked with SQL Server, this property, that applies to Integer Columns, lets indicate that there is auto increment columns, by that way it will be filled automatically, without writing it on the insert statement. In EF with SQL Server, the properties whose match with Identity columns, will be filled after invoking SaveChanges method. In Oracle DB, there is no Identity Property, but there is something similar. Sequences Sequences are DB objects, that allow to create auto increment, but there are not related directly to a Table. It takes the connection strings from the App settings, removing the meta data, that was created by VS when generated the EF model. And then, returns the next value from the Sequence. The next value of a Sequence is unique, by that, when some concurrent users are going to create records in the DB using the sequence will not get duplicates. This is my own implementation, I know that it could be several ways to do and better ways. If I find any other way, I promise to post it. To use the example is needed to add a reference to the Oracle (ODP.NET) dll.

  • Deleted Myself from Admin Group - Now Getting Error usermod: cannot lock /etc/passwd; try again later

    I have a laptop with Ubuntu 11.10 that is shared between myself and two other family members. My user id was setup as the only "Administrator" on the laptop. The other users were setup as "Standard" users. In my attempt to try to add myself to the user groups for the other users, I somehow deleted myself from the admin groups. I used the "usermod" command from the terminal. I must have neglected to include the proper switches or syntax for the update. It looks like I successfully added my userid to the group associated with my wife's account. When I use the "groups" command, I can see only my id and my wife's id in the list. I no longer see the "admin" or "adm" groups, and others that used to be listed. When I go into System Settings User Accounts it looks like my ID is now listed as a "Standard" user. I would like to change my account back to "Administrator", but now I can't. I did some searches for solutions and found that I would need to boot into Recovery Mode and execute the usermod command from the root session. I was able to successfully boot into Recovery Mode and get to the root session. I was trying to execute the command "usermod -a -G admin user1" to add my id (user1) back to the admin group. When I execute the command from the root session, I get the error message "usermod: cannot lock /etc/passwd; try again later". I tried preceding the usermod command with "sudo", but it didn't make a difference, same error. I then tried adding a new user using adduser, thinking I would try to create a new userid and make the new userid part of the admin group. I get the same error using the adduser command. I saw some posts that recommend looking for and deleting files that end in ".lock" in the etc directory. The only file I found was .pwd.lock which I haven't touched. I am at a loss as to what to try next. I am relatively inexperienced with Ubuntu and Linux, so alot of this is new to me. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

    One of the first questions people asked when they start using the Oracle Unified Method (OUM) is “how do I find X ?” Well of course no one is really looking for “X”!! but typically an OUM user might know the Task ID, or part of the Task Name, or maybe they just want to find out if there is any content within OUM that is related to a couple of keys words they have in their mind. Here are three quick tips I give people: 1. Open up one of the OUM Views, then click “Expand All”, and then use your Browser’s search function to locate a key Word. For example, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer: <CTRL> F, then type in a key Word, i.e. Architecture This is fast and easy option to use, but it only searches the current OUM page 2. Use the PDF view of OUM Open up one of the OUM Views, and then click the PDF View button located at the top of the View. Depending on your Browser’s settings, the PDF file will either open up in a new Window, or be saved to your local machine. In either case, once the PDF file is open, you can use the built in PDF search commands to search for key words across a large portion of the OUM Method Pack. This is great option for searching the entire Full Method View of OUM, including linked HTML pages, however the search will not included linked Documents, i.e. Word, Excel. 3. Use your operating systems file index to search for key words This is my favorite option, and one I use virtually every day. I happen to use Windows Search, but you could also use Google Desktop Search, of Finder on a MAC. All you need to do (on a Windows machine) is to make sure your local OUM folder structure is included in the Windows Index. Go to Control Panel, select Indexing Options, and ensure your OUM folder is included in the Index, i.e. C:/METHOD/OM40/OUM_5.6 Once your OUM folders are indexed, just open up Windows Search (or Google Desktop Search) and type in your key worlds, i.e. Unit Testing The reason I use this option the most is because the Search will take place across the entire content of the Indexed folders, included linked files. This is why we thankfully have an opportunity to leverage meta data, security and other settings that have been applied or inherited in the prior parts of our governance process. In the interests of keeping this process pragmatic, there is little day to day activity that needs to happen here. Most of the activity that happens post creation will occur in the final "Retire" phase in which content may be archived or removed. The Manage Phase will focus on updating content and the meta data associated with it - specifically around ownership. Often times the largest issues with content ownership occur when a content creator leaves and organization or changes roles within an organization.   1. Update Content Ownership (as needed and on a quarterly basis) Why - Without updating content to reflect ownership changes it will be impossible to continue to meaningfully govern the content. How - Run reports against the meta data (creator and department to which the creator belongs) on content items for a particular user that may have left the organization or changed job roles. If the content is without and owner connect with the department marked as responsible. The content's ownership should be reassigned or if the content is no longer needed by that department for some reason it can be archived and or deleted. With a minimal investment it is possible to create reports that use an LDAP or Active Directory system to contrast all noted content owners versus the users that exist in the directory. The delta will indicate which content will need new ownership assigned. Impact - This implicitly keeps your repository and search collection clean. A very large percent of content that ends up no longer being useful to an organization falls into this category. This management phase (automated if possible) should be completed every quarter or as needed. The impact of actually following through with this phase is substantial and will provide end users with a better experience when browsing and searching for content.

    Background: I have not programmed in a while besides doing VBA and a little VB.NET. So please forgive my language use. I'm green and have a head cold. I am reading all I can now, but I have no programming circles to draw from. The information I am providing is to help guide you to what I am looking for. I am not confident I can ask the question properly. Story: I have four different projects that I am starting. Obviously I won't be working on all at the same time however they each will have similar needs and be inter related. They are as follows: Desktop Environment/System User Interface - basically a product that runs on major computers via mono or .net that unifies the look and functions. In the context of the up coming question it would be able to directly access data of various types. It would work in tandum with my office suite, system manager, and network application framework. Office Suite - technically it would not be a suite since I will be doing it from one interfacel except for the Communications Application. As far as the question, it will need to be able to link to various data sources for storing files and using, manipulating, and presenting information. System Manager - an intellegent system to manage and administer the entire network and all equipment. As far as the question, needs to be able to access data for archiving and and for accessing it's own settings stored in various formats, sql or xml. Network Application Framework - A complete system that can be used for ERP, CRM, CMS, Errata, File Management, and so on. As to the question to be able to access it's own or interlink with existing applications. Requirement: C#, Simplifies and reduces coding, use the same code to access diffent databases(ie MySQL, MS SQL, ACCESS, XML, ...), Mono would be nice but not a must, Question: What librarys, frameworks, or other options would be able to help with this? Is there a good resource to guide me? I don't want arguing over what is best, just information to help me further understand and make an educated decision.

  • Where can I find comprehensive documentation on the various aspects of Linux?

    Whenever a problem pops up in my use of Linux (full time user for 6 years) I start by googling. The simplest (or most common) issues will usually be cleared right away. If it's not in one of those two categories the advise I find tend to be wrong, misguided, obsolete, and if you ask a question here on "ask" you risk being "duplicated" to some superficially similar question. Some issues have haunted me for years until I suddenly hit on the actual developer's documentation (or equivalent) which in a few lines explains how to solve my issue, the correct and consistent way. Whenever that happens I'm always kicking myself: why didn't I just go here to begin with? And the obvious answer is: "I had no idea this was what I was looking for". And for the issues that this hasn't yet happened I'm banging my head: "This ought to be either straight forward or someone tell me it's not doable" So my question is: Are there projects out there trying to collect or list this documentation in a searchable/browseable way. I know there are many very good "if you want this do that" tutorials on Ubuntu but I'm looking for actual documentation. That either are or could be collected in one place (at least conceptually) so that search for information could start in one place. I'm fully aware this is a broad question but if you approach it as: Does gnome have a comprehensive documentation project - where do I find it? Does Ubuntu have a comprehensive documentation project - where do i find it? For example: how exactly does the mime-type association work in Ubuntu and in xubuntu? How exactly are menus created (in Ubuntu: quicklists, xubuntu/gnome: the main menu) How exactly does the rendering process work for compiz/x? (I'm having this issue where windows randomly stops updating until somehow forced to resume (I guess). So for instance where do I look for logs that may indicate the problem. How may I change randr or other settings that may influence this issue. So my point is to organize exact documentation or preferably to find projects that do this already. Thanks! If answers to this question get me started I'm hoping to collect such a list.

  • Magento, NGINX, PHP-FPM, APC, MEMCACHED, 16gb Ram CentOS, Spiking PHP-FPM to 100% CPU

    I have been trying to resolve my issue of spiking cpu caused by php-fpm processes. I've reduced the php-fpm config settings to: pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 12 pm.start_servers = 2 pm.min_spare_servers = 2 pm.max_spare_servers = 10 pm.max_requests = 500 php_admin_value[memory_limit] = 128M Problem still exists. I'm running a Joomla main site (which is having no problems) and a Magento store in a sub-directory. My server is a Linux CentOS, running NGINX, APC, Memcached, Full Page Cache and php-fpm. My server has 8 cores and 16gb dedicated ram. My host has shut down my server several times the past week because my php-fpm processes are consuming the entire network. A lot of the individual php-fpm processes are getting over 50% cpu. I've hired several "professionals" and none of them was able to help me, so now broke and stumped, I'm turning to you guys for help. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. the server is not using much memory: Mem: 16777216k total, 1204040k used, 15573176k free My.conf settings: query_cache_size = 128M innodb_buffer_pool_size = 512M open-files-limit = 8192 table_cache=4096 I just noticed that someone changed my innodb_buffer_pool_size to 512M. Shouldn't this be set to 80% of available ram? So I have 16gb ram so it should be set at 12G; however, I set it at 10G. What do you think? I made that change and restart everything. Php-fpm is still spiking cpu.   • Mount CIFS share gives "mount error 127 = Key has expired"

    Hi, I'm currently replicating the setup of a CentOS box an am running into a strange error while trying to mount a samba share that resides on a NAS. The error I'm getting is: mount error 127 = Key has expired Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs) The settings are identical to the old machine, the password is definitely correct as well. I have googled the issue of course, and looked at every single page that references this issue (not that many) and have still not found an answer. The older CentOS box is using version 3.0.28-0.el4.9 of Samba and the one I'm trying to setup now is 3.0.33-3.7.el5_3.1. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but it's certainly one of the only differences between the 2 setups. When I try the mount command this appears in the syslog: Sep 8 10:51:54 helvetica2 kernel: Status code returned 0xc0000072 NT_STATUS_ACCOUNT_DISABLED Sep 8 10:51:54 helvetica2 kernel: CIFS VFS: Send error in SessSetup = -127 Sep 8 10:51:54 helvetica2 kernel: CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -127 The account is very much not disabled as it works on the old box using the same credentials.   • Powerpoint missing from DCOM config

    I have an application that automates the creation of powerpoint files in an ASP.NET environment. This requires that I install powerpoint on the server and also set permissions in the DCOM configuration snap-in (dcomcnfg) to give permissions to the launching user ([DOMAIN]\ASPNET in this case) to run the application. I have this setup running successfully on several Win2k3 machines. I am configuring my first Win2k8 machine and after installing powerpoint on the server, the "Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation" node in DCOM config is not showing up. Other installed Office apps are showing (Excel, Graph, etc...), just not Powerpoint. So when I attempt to run the application, I get an "Access denied" error, which is exactly what I would expect. The user doesn't have permission. Therefore, access denied. The specific error log entry is: The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {91493441-5A91-11CF-8700-00AA0060263B} to the user [DOMAIN]\ASPNET I searched the entire list for the CLSID, too, thinking maybe the name wasn't loading properly. No dice. I also re-ran the setup program for Office thinking maybe there would be some option or something I unchecked in the custom setup options, but I saw nothing that looked helpful. I'm flummoxed. Can anyone out there suggest something to help me get Powerpoint to show up in the list of DCOM applications? Many thanks.

  • Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter not working probperly - Code 31 on Host

    I have a Windows 8.1 machine with Hyper-V installed. From a "clean" Hyper-V configuration I open Virtual Switch Manager, create an External switch with "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter", click OK. Everything seems to work properly but the host loses network connectivity. Opening Device Manager, the "Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter" is shown under the Network Adapter section with a yellow triangle, and the following message: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) An object ID was not found in the file. I tried "Uninstalling" the device, seems to work, but the device doesn't actually remove. I tried removing and re-adding the Hyper-V feature completely, no difference. Tried scf /scannow, no problems. System and Application logs show no errors.   • Mount CIFS share gives "mount error 127 = Key has expired"

    I'm currently replicating the setup of a CentOS box an am running into a strange error while trying to mount a samba share that resides on a NAS. The error I'm getting is: mount error 127 = Key has expired Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs) The settings are identical to the old machine, the password is definitely correct as well. I have googled the issue of course, and looked at every single page that references this issue (not that many) and have still not found an answer. The older CentOS box is using version 3.0.28-0.el4.9 of Samba and the one I'm trying to setup now is 3.0.33-3.7.el5_3.1. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but it's certainly one of the only differences between the 2 setups.   • Outlook 2007 Backup to D:\Outlook Fails - Access Denied, Write-Protected or File In Use

    I can successfully save the Outlook PST file to the default location on the C drive (C:\Documents and Settings\user\ ... \Outlook) but when I change the backup save to directory to Outlook on the D drive I get the error: Cannot copy Outlook: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use. I suppose it is not that crucial that I save this file here, but I have never seen this problem before and I have made this same change in the past. I did some searching in this knowledge exchange as well as elsewhere on changing permissions, etc, but this didn't help. I discovered that the folder on my D drive (called Outlook) is not write-protected and nor is it read-only, as I can save to and modify files in that directory, as well as rename and delete the directory itself. At the time when I installed this version of Outlook, I used a previously saved Personal Folder (a backup PST file) and I thought having this still open in Outlook was causing the trouble. But I closed it and still have the same problem. I know this is probably a silly error on my part but I would like to figure it out. I'm new to superuser, but the answers I see are usually very good, so I thought I would post my first question. Thanks in advance.

Please contact your system administrator and let's not forget the most ear-piecing "DING" to accompany this wonderful informative message. Now I have searched the web high and low for a solution here and most sources suggest the same solution of resetting your IE as your default browser. Tried .. failed A lot of sources suggest this has something to do with installing and uninstalling chrome. I have never installed Chrome but am actually consdering this to see if it by some chance fixes my computer. A lot of sources also point to a microsoft kb article 325478 which is focused around Windows XP and totally unrelated to my problem. I see there are some other queries on SuperUser with no resolution. Please can someone help solve this highly annoying issue.   • Mod Rewrite Help - Pseudo-Subdirectories

    I am dealing with a frustrating problem with Joomla that is going to require some url trickery. The idea is straight-forward but after reading a bunch of guides for mod-rewrite, I still can't seem to get it work. Let's say my site is www.mysite.com. Joomla is already performing some rewriting for SEF urls so I have links like www.mysite.com/home and www.mysite.com/news and so on. I want to be able to have (4) pseudo-subdirectories like www.mysite.com/mode1/ and www.mysite.com/mode2/ and so on. These subdirectories should work as if the subdirectory isn't there, ie both www.mysite.com/mode1/home and www.mysite.com/mode2/home should pull up the same www.mysite.com/home. It should point any www.mysite.com/mode1/anypagehere to www.mysite.com/anypagehere. The reason I am asking for this is because I will be reading the url for mode1, mode2, etc, to modify the template page. There will be a landing page that will direct people to /mode1/ and /mode2/ etc and the template will change based on that. Note, that I don't want to actually pass a parameter to the url accessible by a GET or whatever because Joomla removes it (perhaps because of my current mod_rewrite settings).   • Lotus NotesSQL Driver - cannot install

    Hi all, I need to install Lotus NotesSQL Driver (current version is 8.5) onto a virtual machine running XP. Here's what's I've done so far: I retrieved the file (CZOWFEN.zip) from the IBM website. I ran the exe. I then went to My Computer-Properties-Advanced-Environmental Settings-System Variables-Path and added "; c:\notessql" so the ODBC administrator could find Notes.ini (why the setup file didn't do this in the first place, i don't know). I opened up the ODBC administrator and tried to add a new System DSN to a Lotus DB. "The setup routines for the Lotus Notes SQL Driver (*.nsf) ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126" I redownloaded and reinstalled the driver (making sure I had the latest version 8.5). No luck. I checked the registry. All the file paths appeared to be correct. Per many, many similar cases on the internet, I tried several different variations of adding the various Lotus Notes folders to my PATH variables. Same error. I've done this setup on 5 different machines now with no problem. The only difference here is that this machine is virtual. Ideas?

  • vCenter appliance won't use mail relay server

    tl;dr: - sendmail is configured to use a relay server but still insists on using 127.0.01 as the relay, which results in mail not being sent. We have the open source vCenter appliance (v 5.0) managing our ESXi cluster. When connected to it via vSphere Client, you can configure the SMTP relay server to use by going to Administration > vCenter Server Settings > MAIL. There you can set the SMTP Server value. I looked through their documentation and also confirmed on the phone with support that all you have to do to configure mail is to put in the relay IP or fqdn in that box and hit OK. Well, I had done that and mail still wasn't sending. So I SSH into the server (which is SuSE) and look at /var/log/mail and it looks like it's trying to relay the email through 127.0.0.1 and it's rejecting it. So looking through the config files, I see there's /etc/sendmail.cf and /etc/mail/submit.cf. You can configure items in /etc/sysconfig/sendmail and run SuSEconfig --module sendmail to generate those to .cf files based on what's in /etc/sysconfig/sendmail. So playing around, I see that when you set the SMTP Server value in the vCenter gui, all that it does is change the "DS" line in /etc/mail/submit.cf to have DS[myrelayserver.com]. Looking on the internet, it would appear that the DS line is really the only thing you need to change in order to use a relay server. I got on the phone with VMWare support and spent 2 hours trying to modify ANY setting that had anything to do with relays and we couldn't get it to NOT use 127.0.0.1 as the relay. Just to note, any time we made any sort of configuration change, we restarted the sendmail service. Does anyone know whats going on? Have any ideas on how I can fix this?

  • VMWare ESXi, change the default path for a VM

    For some reason VMWare ESXi has decided that one of my VMs is on a completely different path to the path it is actually on. So my VM is on /vmfs/volumes/long-guid-here/my-vm-name but when I try to open it I get the message "File < unspecified filename was not found." Which is not really surprising as unspecified filenames are quite difficult to locate. I thought it was just the swap file, which was down in the .vmx file as /vmfs/volumes/long-guid-here/old-vm-name/old-vm-name.vmsd but when I changed that in the vmx it made no difference. What I can't figure out is where VMWare is getting the old-vm-name from- when I look in the "Settings" pane it believes the working file location to be "[datastore-name] old-vm-name\" and I can't find anywhere to change it. Now the files themselves are all named for old-vm-name - so the directory is /my-vm-name/old-vm-name.vmx and so on. Is this the cause of my problems or is there some arcane configuration option elsewhere around the VMWare machine that I need to be tinkering with?

    I have a weird issue and I hope someone can steer me in the right direction for resolving this please. When I execute the following query against a linked server, I get the following error. I can connect to the server in SSMS as a separate server, and execute a similar query against its Deposits table. The nn.nn is my own replacement to avoid broadcasting our server addresses. The query: select td.Batch , td.DateTimeDeposited from Deposits cd left join [172.nn.nn.32\sqlexpress].Terminal.dbo.Deposits td on cd.DateTimeDeposited = td.DateTimeDeposited The error: OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "172.nn.nn.11\sqlexpress" returned message "Login timeout expired". OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "172.nn.nn.11\sqlexpress" returned message "An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.". Msg 65535, Level 16, State 1, Line 0 SQL Network Interfaces: Error Locating Server/Instance Specified [xFFFFFFFF]. Notice how the error is about server 172.nn.nn.11 and not 172.nn.nn.32. SOLVED (STUPID ME): Somebody had added an extra bit to my query that was scrolled off-screen and was querying the 17.nn.nn.11 server.

  • Handshake violation when trying to access one website

    I have a TZ 190 Wireless Enhanced with SonicOS Enhanced 4.2.1.0-20e. Yesterday, people could access without any problems a bank website wich uses HTTPS. Today, it is imposible to access only that website, every other ones works without problems. When checking the log message filtering to my IP only, this is what appears and I suspect is the cause of this problem, because all other websites are working: Priority: Notice Category: Network Access Message: TCP handshake violation detected; TCP connection dropped Source: X.Y.Z.3, 51997, LAN (admin) Destination: 200.14.232.18, 443, WAN Notes: Handshake Timeout Where X.Y.Z.3 is my local IP. I've tried to change TCP Settings under Firewall option, and activated this options with no success: Enforce strict TCP compliance with RFC 793 and RFC 1122 and Enable TCP checksum enforcement I've also tried to find the MTU and at first I got: Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set But when I lower the value of ping -f -l to 1468 I got: Request timeout. Also I deactivate CFS in lan and wan zones. Nothing works. Can you please help me? Any Ideas?
