You are a program that is accepting an infinitely long stream of characters (for simplicity you can assume characters are either 1 or 0). At any point, I can stop the stream (let's say after N characters were passed through) and ask you if the string received so far is a palindrome or not. How can you do this using less sub-linear space and/or time.

  I have recently installed Team Explorer on one of my machines that has Visual Studio 2008 SP1 installed. But know whenever I click a work item or trying to open a team query I get the following error: Could not load type 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client.WorkItemTypeDeniedOrNotExistException' from assembly 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' I even repaired the installation of Team Explorer 2008 but it does not solve my problem. Does anybody know how can I get rid of this error? Thanks.

When i hover over the main hover links (blue ones) quickly eg going horizontally quickly hovering each top menu, the submenus don't close. I get this error: Commit failed: Failed to create a new commit. That seems that nobody is having. I've already deleted the folder and cloned again, no escape. What to do?   I am trying to read the Excel Named range using OLEDB using the below code "Select * from [MyNamedRange1]" everything works fine only when the source excel sheet is not opened if it is open then i am not able to read the range names using OLEDB it simply hangs Where as i am able to execute the query "Select * from [Sheet1$]" even if the workbook is open or closed... Any work arounds for reading the range by OLEDB only i dont want to go for interop... I have too many ranges defined in the excel file

  I got a programm in haskell outputting utf-8 using the package utf8-string and using only the output functions of this package. I set the encoding of each file I write to this way : hSetEncoding myFile utf8 {- myFile may be stdout -} but when I try to output : alpha = [fromEnum 0x03B1] {- a -} instead of the nice alpha letter I got on Linux (or in a file on windows), I got the following : α The weird thing is even if I try to write the output on a file, I can't read it back with mvim as an utf-8 file. Is there any way to get the correct behaviour

Then i start the mysql demon and follow below steps, # chkconfig --level 2345 mysqld on # mysqladmin -u root password testpassword But i can not set the password because it gives me the below error, Access denied for user root@localhost (using password: no) I logged in as root user and perform those steps. I even uninstalled mysql server and reinstalled but same problem occurred.

  Is it possible to set a default behaviour for custom (non-native) methods/functions in Java? For example, I would like to change the default "Function" to do a System.out.println("message") whenever called. So, when a custom method/function is being created: public String testMethod() { //custom code } it should execute the newly added default behaviour (in this case the system output), before the custom code is run. Even if this would be a bad excercise, is it possible? Maybe by extending the function class or something?

  I choosed a web project in order to do that i am using an IDE (Eclipse), database (DB2 universal driver) and Apache Tomcat server. So, by gods grace every thing has gone well but when I try to update data to DB2 database through JDBC code then I am getting an SQL DB error as :: DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -204, SQLSTATE: 42704, SQLERRMC: DB2ADMIN.REGISTER where register is my table name and even i logged in as db2admin but i think there is no connectivity established but still its not resolved
