  • [CakePHP] Can not Bake table model, controller and view

    - by user198003
I developed small CakePHP application, and now I want to add one more table (in fact, model/controller/view) into system, named notes. I had already created a table of course. But when I run command cake bake model, I do not get table Notes on the list. I can add it manually, but after that I get some errors when running cake bake controller and cake bake view. Can you give me some clue why I have those problems, and how to add that new model?

  • Rails Controller

    - by Steve
Hi...In Rails, is it ok to define logic in a controller with a model. For example, take there is an User Model, which is good design. 1)Leaving the UserModel with the CRUD models and moving all the other User Specific actions to a separate controller or 2)Add the user specific actions to the same UserModels Thanks :)

  • T4 Controller Template to trigger View Generation

    - by DrydenMaker
I have been using some customized MVC templates that really improve my productivity. However, I would like to take it to the next level. I generate a controller template for each table in my app. The controller has Edit, List, Details, and Delete actions. What I would like to do, is at the same time trigger the generation of the views for those actions. Does anyone have a reference or have suggestions on how this can be done?

  • What Controller/Action will this go to?

    - by rkrauter
Assume this is the first route entry: routes.MapRoute( "myRoute", "employees/{city}/{pageNumber}", new { controller="Employees", action = "List", pageNumber = 1 } ); If I make the following request employees/london/2 it gets matched to the following action method: public ActionResult List(string city) {} How did that happen? I did not specify "city" in my object defaults: new { controller="Employees", action = "List", pageNumber = 1 } Please explain. Thanks!

  • Back button of Navigation Controller does not work!

    - by JosephH
For some reason, if I try to go back to the main menu using the back button on the upper left corner, only the title returns to the previous menu, but not the view controller. View controller would return to the previous menu only if I explicitly call popViewControllerAnimated using some other button. Is there anyway to solve this? I think I've coded something wrong. Tried googling but couldn't find any cases like mine.

  • Ninject and Custom Controller Factory

    - by Baddie
I'm using MEF with ASP.NET MVC as demonstrated at http://blog.maartenballiauw.be/post/2009/06/17/Revised-ASPNET-MVC-and-the-Managed-Extensibility-Framework-(MEF).aspx. When I try to use Ninject, it seems that nothing gets injected. I did some debugging, and when I reverted to the original controller factory the injection worked. What needs to be changed, or what does Ninject need in terms of controller factories for it to work?

  • TDD a controller with ASP.NET MVC 2, NUnit and Rhine Mocks

    - by Nissan Fan
What would a simple unit test look like to confirm that a certain controller exists if I am using Rhino Mocks, NUnit and ASP.NET MVC 2? I'm trying to wrap my head around the concept of TDD, but I can't see to figure out how a simple test like "Controller XYZ Exists" would look. In addition, what would the unit test look like to test an Action Result off a view?

    - by Fleents
    How can you instantiate a Controller that has an int argument? Using Ninject.. My HomeController has a constructor like this: private int _masterId; Public HomeController(int masterId){ _masterId = masterId; } I created a controller factory like this: public class NinjectControllerFactory : DefaultControllerFactory { IKernel kernel = new StandardKernel(new ExampleConfigModule()); protected override IController GetControllerInstance(Type controllerType) { return controllerType == null ? null : (IController)kernel.Get(controllerType, 1); } }

  • Using USB PS2 hand controller in C#.NET

    - by rross
I'm attempting to create a program that takes input from a usb ps2 hand controller, translate and passes the info to a rs232 device. I already have everything working for the rs232 device. The problem is interfacing with a usb controller. There doesn't seem to be any good documentation out there and on top of that .NET3.0/3.5 doesn't have any libs to help you out. How would one even get started?
