  • Upgrading PS1 Light Gun [on hold]

    - by Nathan Taylor
Is There any possible way to upgrade the retro G-con Light Gun for PS1 to allow it to interact with HD TV's? I am aware that they were Designed purely for Tube TV's but I would be happy to know of any hardware that would maybe convert the light to hit the Pixels on an LCD TV. If not is there any other Light gun that would work on PS1 games but has the newer light gun hardware that can interact with a higher Pixel LCD TV?

  • How to determine errors in java

    - by user225269
I'm just a java beginner. Do you have any tips there on how to determine errors. I'm trying to connect to mysql derby database. I don't know how to determine the error, there is no red line, but there is a message box that shows up when I try to run the program. All I want to do is to display the first record in the database. All I get is this in the output: E:\Users\users.netbeans\6.8\var\cache\executor-snippets\run.xml:45: package Employees; import java.sql.Statement; import javax.swing.JOptionPane; import java.sql.Connection; import java.sql.DriverManager; import java.sql.SQLException; import java.sql.ResultSet; /** * * @author Nrew */ public class Students extends javax.swing.JFrame { Connection con; Statement stmt; ResultSet rs; /** Creates new form Students */ public Students() { initComponents(); DoConnect(); } public void DoConnect(){ try { String host= "jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/YURA"; String uname = "bart"; String pword = "12345"; con = DriverManager.getConnection(host, uname, pword); stmt = con.createStatement( ); String SQL = "SELECT * FROM APP.XROSS"; rs = stmt.executeQuery(SQL); rs.next(); rs.next( ); int ids = rs.getInt("IDNUM"); String idz = Integer.toString(ids); String fname = rs.getString("FNAME"); String lname = rs.getString("LNAME"); String course = rs.getString("COURSE"); String skul = rs.getString("SCHOOL"); String gen = rs.getString("GENDER"); TextIDNUM.setText(idz); TextFNAME.setText(fname); TextLNAME.setText(lname); textCOURSE.setText(course); textSCHOOL.setText(skul); textGENDER.setText(gen); } catch (SQLException err) { JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(Students.this, err.getMessage()); } } /** This method is called from within the constructor to * initialize the form. * WARNING: Do NOT modify this code. • How to make negate_unary work with any type?

  • Neural Net Optimize w/ Genetic Algorithm

Is a genetic algorithm the most efficient way to optimize the number of hidden nodes and the amount of training done on an artificial neural network? I am coding neural networks using the NNToolbox in Matlab. I am open to any other suggestions of optimization techniques, but I'm most familiar with GA's.

  • JBoss ignores @RemoteBinding annotation

    - by tputkonen
I would like to specify JNDI name for an EJB3 bean using annotation, but JBoss 5.1.0 GA seems to ignore the annotation completely. Bean's annotations are: @Remote(Foobar.class) @Stateless(name = "Foobar") @TransactionManagement(TransactionManagementType.BEAN) @RemoteBinding(jndiBinding="ejb/Foobar") public class FoobarBean implements Foobar { ... I tested deploying also using @RemoteBindings annotation, but the result was same: @RemoteBindings({@RemoteBinding(jndiBinding="ejb/Foobar")}) The bean does not get bound to JNDI with the specified name, and the log file doesn't give any clues.

  • Compatibility between JBoss Cache to JBoss Server

  • Is Google Analytics for Mobile available for Windows Mobile / Compact Framework

    - by Michal Drozdowicz
Recently Google introduced an SDK for application usage tracking on mobile devices (Google Analytics for Mobile Apps). Unfortunately, it seems that it only supports IPhone and Android devices. Do you have any idea if this framework can somehow be used from Windows Mobile / Compact Framework applications or if Google is planning to release an SDK for WM? BTW, I don't mean a WM application for browsing through GA server reports, but an SDK for tracking your mobile app's usage.

  • Classloading order in JBoss

    - by Spiderman
I'd like to know if the default behavior of JBoss server (4.2.3.GA in my case) is loading the classes in parent-first or parent-last mode. And in case it work as I suspect in parent-last mode (i.e. first trying to load classes from the application's WEB-INF/lib and only if they are not found go to server\lib), how can I configure it to work in the opposite- first trying to load classes from outside and only looking inside the application afterwards.

How can I make this web sites load faster and skip Google analytics files?

Setting: hibernate.default_catalog= hibernate.default_schema= had no effect. • How do you avoid an invalid search space in a genetic algorithm?

    - by Dave
I am developing a GA for a school project and I've noticed that upon evaluating my functions for fitness, an individual is equivalent to its inverse. For example, the set (1, 1, -1, 1) is equivalent to (-1, -1, 1, -1). To shrink my search space and reach a solution more efficiently, how can I avoid my crossovers from searching in this second half of the search space?

  • Jboss Seam Booking Example Extract Shared Libs From Ear

    - by michael lucas
Example Booking Application, which JBoss Seam is shipped with, build into EAR file of about 7 MB. That's pretty much if you consider deploying this package to a remote Jboss server and possibly redeploying it package many times during your regular work. Lib files like richfaces and jsf-facelet make the lion's share of that EAR size. Why can't we just extract lib files into jboss-web.deployer directory on JBoss 4.2.0 GA server?

I'm looking to find an Oracle PL/SQL training course for a colleague of mine. I've had first-hand experience with Oracle University and was quite satisfied with my experience, but the courses currently available through Oracle University are limited to options out of our budget when considering travel and 5 days of hotel. I'm wondering what other good providers of Oracle training are out there and what fellow developers are having positive experiences with. Travel is expected, but we are based out of Atlanta, GA so suggestions in the vicinity would be a plus.

  • Force update in Hibernate

    - by gubrutz
How can I force Hibernate to update an entity instance even if the entity is not dirty? I'm using Hibernate 3.3.2 GA, Hibernate Annotations and Hibernate EntityManager btw. I really want Hibernate to execute the generic UPDATE statement even if no property on the entity has changed. I need this because some event listeners need to get invoked to do some additional work when the application runs for the first time. Thanks!
