  • Linux-Mint Maya Mate loses Alt-F1 menu and Alt-F2 run-dialog with Compiz

    - by Peter.O
I like the Linux-Mint 13 Mate Alt-F1 menu and the Alt-F2 run-dialog, but as soon as I installed Compiz those keys became non-functional. Conpiz has a Gnome compaatibility settings panel which allows you to set these keys, but using that Compix settings panel did not make any diference (probably because Mate is not Gnome, strictly speaking)... Is there some way to get those two shortcut keys back into acton with Compiz?

  • SVN client for Ubuntu with Context menu

    - by Asaf
Hello, I've been wondering if there's an SVN client for Ubuntu (10.04 lucid lynx) in Gnome (not kdesvn since it's for kde) with context menu, so if you right-click on an SVN repository you have the options to branch and what-not (just like tortoise SVN on windows).. thank you.

  • Windows 7 menu color

    - by soupagain
I find the Windows 7 menu color quite hard to read. The default text and highlighted text are similar colors: Can I change this without changing the actual theme? Or do I need to choose a high-contrast theme?

  • How to fix the IE8 favorites menu?

    - by Lance Roberts
I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8, and occasionally one off my favorites (Link) folders will get a very small box in the upper right corner (on the favorites menu drop down itself) and not open at all. I can't figure out how it got there or how to disable it, and I have to completely shut IE down and restart it to get rid of it. Any clues on what's going on?

  • About Eclipse's "Upgrade" menu in Team

    - by djechelon
I wonder what that command means. I have a project shared on Subversion and this strange menu item appeared to me. I tried to click it, but Eclipse required me a confirmation to proceed because the operation cannot be undone. Eclipse version Eclipse IDE for Java Developers Version: Indigo Service Release 2 Build id: 20120216-1857 I didn't post on SO because my question is related to Eclipse itself and not to programming

  • How to add an item to my "Send To" context menu

    - by Binary Worrier
On my old XP machine I would simply copy short-cuts into the %userprofile%\SendTo folder. On Windows-7 this folder is hidden, and I don't have access to it (which surprised me, it is MY SendTo folder after all). Is there an "approved" way of adding to my Send To menu that I'm unaware of? Or do I need extra permissions from our Sys Admin? Thanks BW

  • Trouble binding WPF Menu to ItemsSource

    - by chaiguy
I would like to avoid having to build a menu manually in XAML or code, by binding to a list of ICommand-derived objects. However, I'm experiencing a bit of a problem where the resulting menu has two levels of menu-items (i.e. each MenuItem is contained in a MenuItem): My guess is that this is happening because WPF is automatically generating a MenuItem for my binding, but the "viewer" I'm using actually already is a MenuItem (it's derived from MenuItem): <ContextMenu x:Name="selectionContextMenu" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={x:Static OrangeNote:Note.MultiCommands}}" ItemContainerStyleSelector="{StaticResource separatorStyleSelector}"> <ContextMenu.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Viewers:NoteCommandMenuItemViewer CommandParameter="{Binding Source={x:Static OrangeNote:App.Screen}, Path=SelectedNotes}" /> </DataTemplate> </ContextMenu.ItemTemplate> </ContextMenu> (The ItemContainerStyleSelector is from http://bea.stollnitz.com/blog/?p=23, which allows me to have Separator elements inside my bound source.) So, the menu is bound to a collection of ICommands, and each item's CommandParameter is set to the same global target (which happens to be a collection, but that's not important). My question is, is there any way I can bind this such that WPF doesn't automatically wrap each item in a MenuItem?

  • Create a menu in a perspective in Eclipse

    - by Krt_Malta
Hi. I am developing an Eclipse plug-in and I'd like to associate a new menu (at the top of the screen along with File, Edit etc) with a perspective I'm creating. I did the menu ok but it is being displayed even in other perspectives. How can I associate it only with my perspective? This is the code I am using in plugin.xml: <plugin> <extension point="org.eclipse.ui.perspectives"> <perspective class="org.eclipse.ui.articles.perspective.API_Development" id="org.eclipse.ui.articles.perspective.API_Development" name="API Development"> </perspective> </extension> <extension point="org.eclipse.ui.actionSets"> <actionSet label="Sample Action Set" visible="true" id="API_Development_Menu.actionSet"> <menu label="API Development" id="sampleMenu"> <separator name="sampleGroup"> </separator> </menu> </actionSet> </extension> </plugin> Thanks and regards, Kurt

  • VS 2008 created shortcut doesn't show up in "Send To" menu

    - by Brettski
I have a WinForms application built using Visual Studio 2008. I added a Setup Project to the solution to create an installation MSI file. I need the setup project to create a shortcut pointing to the application's executable in the users Send To Menu. This way when someone right clicks on a file, my application will show in the Send To list and be selected. I figured out under the file system settings of the Setup project how to add a shortcut to the Users Send To Menu. The problem is, the shortcut doesn't show in the Send To menu when you right click on a file. If I manually create a shortcut to my executable the application does show in the Send To menu. I have read many suggestions on the web to required registry entries for this to work. There is a VBS file written by Ramesh Srinivasan which inserts them. On every system I have tried this on the registry values already existed, so this is not the problem. It seems more to be with the shortcut Visual Studio (or the msi anyway) is creating.

  • How to remove the "button" effect for a menu item (WPF)

    - by Sorin Comanescu
    Hi, When the mouse is over a menu item (first level) it displays a 3D button effect. How can this be removed? Thanks. EDIT: Tried <Style TargetType="MenuItem"> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True"> <Setter Property="BorderBrush" Value="Transparent"> <Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="0"> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> with no effect. The menu XAML: <Window x:Class="UCWPF.Window3" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:conv="clr-namespace:UCWPF.Converters" Title="Window3" Height="600" Width="600" Background="{StaticResource WindowBackgroundBrush}" > <StackPanel Style="{StaticResource WindowContainerStyle}"> <Menu> <MenuItem Header="New" Icon="{StaticResource ImageExport}" /> <MenuItem Header="Open" Icon="{StaticResource ImageOpen}" /> <MenuItem Header="Save" Icon="{StaticResource ImageSave}" /> <MenuItem Header="Export" Icon="{StaticResource ImageExport}" /> </Menu> ... And here's the screenshot:
