My models are defined as: class Measurement(models.Model): subject = models.ForeignKey(Animal) experiment = models.ForeignKey(Experiment) assay = models.ForeignKey(Assay) values = models.CommaSeparatedIntegerField(blank=True, null=True) class Experiment(models.Model): date = models.DateField() notes = models.TextField(max_length = 500, blank=True) subjects= models.ManyToManyField(Subject) in my view i have: def add_measurement(request, experiment_id): experiment = get_object_or_404(Experiment, pk=experiment_id) MeasurementFormSet = inlineformset_factory(Experiment, Measurement, extra=10, exclude=('experiment')) if request.method == 'POST': formset = MeasurementFormSet(request.POST,instance=experiment) if formset.is_valid(): formset.save() return HttpResponseRedirect( experiment.get_absolute_url() ) else: formset = MeasurementFormSet(instance=experiment) return render_to_response("data_entry_form.html", {"formset": formset, "experiment": experiment }, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) but i want to restrict the Measurement.subject field to only subjects defined in the Experiment.subjects queryset. I have tried a couple of different ways of doing this but I am a little unsure what the best way to accomplish this is. I tried to over-ride the BaseInlineFormset class with a new queryset, but couldnt figure out how to correctly pass the experiment parameter.

I dont need all other stuf, only which's defined by my own DLL or EXE which I am giving it as PDB. But it shows EVERYTHING kernel related,OS related and balah blah endless list(sky is the limit).. If I were writing a SQL query it would be select count(*) from Table where A is not null and (B is not null or C is not null) But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get this in a Google Spreadsheet

And yes, I haven't worked out how to return the CarClass type where you would normally do a Select new Carclass { fieldName = m.fieldName, ... }

    Dears I am using log4net in my c# application i have different logger which insert text lines in my single log file. But now i wanted to add a new logger which should not post log entries in the same file rather i should log in a different file so i configured a new fileAppender, After doing whatever i found on the net i am able to create a different file for my new logger but it echoes the same value in first log file too. so please if anybody knows about the use of LogFilters so that i could add "Logger < New logger " match in previously configured appender. Question is two fold: is there a more concise way to express this? is there a way to abstract the functionality / expression (fun l - match l with | LegIsSettled - false | _ - true) Such that let itemMatchesPattern pattern item = match item with | pattern -> true | _ -> false such I could write (as I am reusing this design-pattern): let curriedItemMatchesPattern = itemMatchesPattern LegIsSettled if List.exists curriedItemMatchesPattern t.tradeLegs then TradeIsSettled else TradeIsUnsettled Thoughts?

    I have 2 entities, Task and List. Each task has a to-one relationship to a List object called "list", and there is an inverse relationship with List, which has a to-many relationship with Task called "tasks". I'm trying to use a fetch request with an NSPredicate to get all the Task objects that belong to a specified List: NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"list=%@", theList]; [fetchRequest setPredicate:predicate]; (where "theParent" is a reference to a List object). However this returns no fetched objects. If I take out the predicate, then the objects are returned (so I do know they exist, and by NSLogging theList I know it has Task objects associated with it).   • Core Data NSPredicate to filter results

    I have a NSManagedObject that contains a bID and a pID. Within the set of NSManagedObjects, I only want a subset returned and I'm struggling to find the correct NSPredicate or way to get what I need out of Core Data. Here's my full list: bid pid 41 0 42 41 43 0 44 0 47 41 48 0 49 0 50 43 There is a parent-child relationship above. Rules: If a record's PID = 0, it means that that record IS a parent record. If a record's PID != 0, then that record's PID refers to it's parent record's BID. Example: 1) BID = 41 is a parent record. Why? Because records BID=42 and record BID=47 have PID's of 41, meaning those are children of its PID record. 2) BID = 42 has a parent record with a BID = 41. 3) BID = 43 is a parent record. 4) BID = 44 is a parent record. 5) BID = 47 has a parent record with a BID = 41 because its PID = 41. See #1 above. 6) BID = 48 is a parent record. 7) BID = 49 is a parent record. 8) BID = 50 is a child record, and its parent record has a BID = 43. See the pattern? Now, basically from that, I want only the following rows fetched: bid pid 44 0 47 41 48 0 49 0 50 43 BID = 41, BID = 48, BID = 49 should all be returned because there are no records with a PID equal to their BID. BID = 47 should be returned because it is the most recent child of PID = 41. BID = 50 should be returned because it is the most recent child of PID = 43. Hope this helps explain it more.

My code in ~/.bashrc is incompleted now : alias startmatch='java -jar "emarket.jar" ../tournament 100'; function geterrors() { startmatch 2>"$1"; a=0; while read line do if true; then a=$(($a+1)); echo $a; fi; done } What it does now is to redirect all stderr to a text file specified by the first argument passed in, and after that, parse that text file line by line, if certain conditions returns true, echo only that line. And I am stuck with what to do inside the loop. Any suggestion is much appreciates, any hint is welcomed.

  • Downsampling and applying a lowpass filter to digital audio

    I've got a 44Khz audio stream from a CD, represented as an array of 16 bit PCM samples. I'd like to cut it down to an 11KHz stream. How do I do that? From my days of engineering class many years ago, I know that the stream won't be able to describe anything over 5500Hz accurately anymore, so I assume I want to cut everything above that out too. Any ideas? Thanks. Update: There is some code on this page that converts from 48KHz to 8KHz using a simple algorithm and a coefficient array that looks like { 1, 4, 12, 12, 4, 1 }. I think that is what I need, but I need it for a factor of 4x rather than 6x. Any idea how those constants are calculated? Also, I end up converting the 16 byte samples to floats anyway, so I can do the downsampling with floats rather than shorts, if that helps the quality at all.

Now, I would like to display on it some MyTextBox properties, say only Size, Location and my custom property Date. More that than, I would like to be able to change the real property names, say "Dimension", "Location" and "Starting Date". I saw two projects on this subject : first and second, but first does not work well(for browsable properties), and the second seems to add an event for each property changes, this is not acceptable.

  • Git checkout doesn't change anything, and it's getting very frustrating

    I really like git. At least, I like the idea of git. Being able to checkout my master project as a separate branch where I can change whatever I want without risk of screwing everything else up is awesome. But it's not working. Every time I checkout a branch to another branch, make changes to the one branch, and then checkout the original branch, I still have all the files and changes that happened in the other branch. This is getting extremely frustrating. I've read that this can happen when you have files open in the IDE while doing this, but I've been pretty careful about that and both closed the files in the IDE, closed the IDE, and shut down my rails server before switching branches, and this still happens. Also, running 'git clean -f' either deletes everything that happened after some arbitrary commit (and randomly, at that), or, as in the latest case, didn't change anything back to its original state. I thought I was using git correctly, but at this point, I'm at my wit's end here. I'm trying to work with a bunch of experimental code using a stable version of my project, but I keep having to manually track down and fix all the changes I made. Any ideas or suggestions? git checkout -b photo_tagging git branch # to make sure it's right # make a bunch of changes, creations, etc git status # see what's changed since before git add . # approve of the changes, I guess, since if I do git commit after this, it says no changes git commit -m 'these are changes I made' git checkout master git branch #=> *master # look at files, tags_controller is still there, added in photo_tagging # and code added in photo_tagging branch are still there in *master This seems to happen whether I do a commit or not on the branch.

I want an array with the images in jQuery for an Ajax call. 2 questions: - On the top of the table there is a checkbox to toggle all checkboxes that I want to exclude from the mapping.     i have a table with code like this: <tr> <th scope="row">5-17</th> <td>23.6 (22.0-24.0)</td> <td>18.0 (17-20.0)</td> </tr> <tr> <th scope="row">Total 0-17</th> <td>20.6 (8-15.6)</td> <td>16.1 (22.2-24.0)</td> </tr> i am using the following function to find the contents of the table cells and bring it into an array: var l1 = $('#datatable td:nth-child(2)').map(function() { return $(this).text(); }).get(); the table fragment's id is "datatable". this returns properly, however i am putting this array into jqPlot and it cant read the stuff between the parentheses or the parentheses themselves. i need the data to remain in the table however because we are displaying both the table and the chart. i cant reformat (add spans around the content i want to remove etc) because these tables are being generated by another piece of software. i think what i need to do is either slice off after the space or use a regex to find and remove. not sure how to proceed with either of these. thanks!

I have got as far as finding this file: /usr/share/pyshared/ubuntuone/u1sync/constants.py Inside is this piece of code: import re # the name of the directory u1sync uses to keep metadata about a mirror METADATA_DIR_NAME = u".ubuntuone-sync" # filenames to ignore SPECIAL_FILE_RE = re.compile(".*\\.(" "(u1)?partial|part|" "(u1)?conflict(\\.[0-9]+)?)$") How can I edit this last section (regex?) and make it ignore .iso files???   • git: how to not delete files when rebasing commits with file deletion

    I have a branch that I would like to rebase onto the lastest commit on my master. The problem is that one of the intervening commits on master was to delete and ignore a particular set of files (see this question). If I just do a straight rebase, those files will get deleted again. Is there anyway of doing this, inside git, rather than copying all the files out by hand, then copying them back in again afterwards? Or should I do something like create a new branch off master, then merge in just the commits from the old branch? Attempts ascii art: master branch | w work in progress on branch C | committed further changes on master | | B / committed delete/ignore files on master | 2 committed changes on branch | / A / committed changes on master which I now need to get branch working | 1 committed changes on branch 0___/ created branch (Doing the art, I realise that I could just rebase branch from A, then merge when I've finished, but I'd still like to know if there's a way to do this 'properly') UPDATE Warning to anyone trying this. The solution proposed here is fine, but when you checkout master again, the B commit will be re-applied, and you lose all your files again :(
