  • How to get some xml that comes before and a little from after a DOM Node.

    I am using java and I am pretty open to using w3c DOM or DOM4J at this point. So lets say I have a Node like a text node that I have found something interesting in, like say an occurrence of a substring in the nodes text. If I want to get a string with a number characters preceding that node and a few characters after that node how may I do that? Basically I need to be able to display a snippet of the original xml around the occurrence of that string. The problem I have with getting the parent node for example and then calling asXML is that I no longer know the exact location of the substring in the text node. If I search again for that string value in the parents xml then I may find 2 occurrences or many more if the parent has other children that contain an occurrence of that string. Much appreciation if any one can answer this question.

    hi. I create a custom import and export, at the moment as an external script (via bootstrap), i plan to create a module in a more generic fashion lateron. I am building a frontend for nagios and for our host management and nagios configuration btw. Maybe it might become useful for other environments (networkmanagement) Now i need to know how to get list of all nodes of type x? I want to avoid direct SQL. A suggestion i got was to make an rss and parse it but i acess the drupal db a dozen times to extract various nodes, so it feels strange to do a web request for one thing So what i am looking for as newbie drupal dev is just a pointer to basic search module api for this task TIA florian

  • Saving in mongoDb with Mongoose, unexpected elements saved

    When I write in my mongoDB with mongoose the operation is treated with success, my document is saved, but there is also all kind of weird other sutff written down. It seems to be mongoose code. What could cause this? I add stuff in a specific array with: resultReference.ref[arrayLocation].allEvents.push(theEvent); {id: 11, allEvents: [] } is the structure of a ref element, and I push theEvent in the allEvents array. I then resultReference.save() I use express, mongoose and mongoHQ for database. I tried on a local mongo server, and this annoyance is still there.   • How do I get the WVGA Android browser to stop scaling my images?

    I'm designing an HTML page for display in Android browsers. Consider this simple example page: <html> <head><title>Simple!</title> </head> <body> <p><img src="http://sstatic.net/so/img/logo.png"></p> </body> </html> It looks just fine on the standard HVGA phones (320x480), but on HDPI WVGA sizes (480x800 or 480x854) the built-in browser automatically scales the image up; it looks ugly. I've read that I should be able to use this tag to force the browser to stop scaling my page: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; minimum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;" /> ... but all that does is disable user scaling (the zoom buttons disappear); it doesn't actually prevent the browser from scaling my image. Adjusting the scale factors (setting them all to 2.0 or 0.5) has no effect at all. How can I force the WVGA browser to stop scaling my images?

    Using Qt 4.6, I can dynamically add to an HTML page like this: ui->webView->page()->mainFrame()->documentElement().findFirst("body").appendInside("<i>some text</i>\n"); However, if I QWebView::load() an XML file, it displays it with the correct CSS styling (from an processing instruction), but doesn't show any changes when I do something like: ui->webView->page()->mainFrame()->documentElement().findFirst("lines").appendInside("<line>hello</line>\n"); Why is it treating them differently, and is there a way to modify an XML document in the same way I can an HTML one?

I want to see the overview of the image at the beginning. Then i want to be able to zoom with the normal safari zoom functions,..

  • HTML5 <audio> Safari live broadcast vs not

    I'm attempting to embed an HTML5 audio element pointing to MP3 or OGG data served by a PHP file . When I view the page in Safari, the controls appear, but the UI says "Live Broadcast." When I click play, the audio starts as expected. Once it ends, however, I can't start it playing again by clicking play. Even using the JS API on the audio element and setting currentTime to 0 fails with an index error exception. I suspected the headers from the PHP script were the problem, particularly missing a content length. But that's not the case. The response headers include a proper Content- Length to indicate the audio has finite size. Furthermore, everything works as expected in Firefox 3.5+. I can click play on the audio element multiple times to hear the sound replay. If I remove the PHP script from the equation and serve up a static copy of the MP3 file, everything works fine in Safari. Does this mean Safari is treating audio src URLs with query parameters differently than URLs that don't have them? Anyone have any luck getting this to work?     I have a bare-bone express application, exactly the one that is created with the express command. I have installed socket.io and attached it to my server, like this: var app = express(), server = http.createServer(app), io = io.listen(server); server.listen(8000); Now, I also have the routes files, which is called like this: app.get('/', routes.index); Inside this module I have the following function: exports.index = function(req, res){ socket.emit('news', { message: "foo" }); }; This obviously leads to a 500 reference error, because the routes file is an exportable module, and obviously has no idea what the socket is, as it is located in the app.js file. Is there a way I can access this socket object from this, or any other file? Please note that it is attached to the express generated app. extra: what about getting/setting session data?     I have some grunt tasks to compile files and would like to "recicle" them inside different tasks. I am trying to modify the destination directory without success... My idea is something like: grunt.registerTask('bower', ['compile:index', 'compile:core'], function(){ this.options({dest: 'dist/*.js'}); }); The compile:index task runs good by itself (i.e. when called alone) and has dest: 'index.js, other tasks have other filenames. I would like to change these inside the bowertask, adding a new directory but keeping the filename defined in the original task. Is this possible?

Is anyone familiar with some decent tutorials on some of the intricacies of this library? Maybe just some better docs? I'd really like to use it, but I'm probably going to avoid it if I can't figure how to use it properly.

    Hi all, I'm developing a native iPhone app using Phonegap, so everything is done in HTML and JS. I am using the Flurry SDK for analytics and want to use the [FlurryAPI logEvent:@"EVENT_NAME"]; method to track events. Is there a way to do this in Javascript?   • Android browser scaling?

    I'm trying to create a mobile website for android. When I set the width of the body to 480px (the width of the screen) the result is about 50% larger than what I expect. It seems that android is scaling what it draws and messing up all my layouts. Does anyone know how to disable this, or work around it?
