    I have a problem with playing online mp3s. I'm using latest version of javazoom's jlayer and basicplayer. Here is the exception: Caused by: javazoom.jlgui.basicplayer.BasicPlayerException: java.io.EOFException at javazoom.jlgui.basicplayer.BasicPlayer.initAudioInputStream(Unknown Source) at javazoom.jlgui.basicplayer.BasicPlayer.open(Unknown Source) ... 12 more Caused by: java.io.EOFException at java.io.DataInputStream.readInt(DataInputStream.java:375) at com.sun.media.sound.WaveFileReader.getFMT(WaveFileReader.java:244) at com.sun.media.sound.WaveFileReader.getAudioFileFormat(WaveFileReader.java:85) at javax.sound.sampled.AudioSystem.getAudioFileFormat(AudioSystem.java:985) at javazoom.jlgui.basicplayer.BasicPlayer.initAudioInputStream(Unknown Source) ... 15 more My java is 1.6.0_16. Certain files cannot be player through the Internet. I have a set of mp3s, playing one after the other. Randomly one mp3 doesn't work throwing above exception. Some mp3s can be played by calling again play() method if javazoom's basicplayer, but others can never be played online. I was able to find this post but I doubt if this really relates to my directx version or something. Mohsen

  • Why image button dont work with forms in IExplorer 7+ ??? (Html)

    Hello guys, i have a web form who send post variables like: <form action="teacher.php" method="post"> <input name="pass" type="password"> <input name="quiere" type="image" value="submit" src="IMG/unlock-32.png" /> </from> In the same page i check for a submit acction with php doing a simple isset check like: "if (isset($_POST['quiere'])) {" But if you do this in IE the post var "QUIERE" (the button var) does not post, the others vars are fine, and if you try this simple form in any other browser it works. I only get this form function well in IE changing the button for a normal button, instead of a image button like: <input name="quiere" type="submit" value="submit" /> In this way, the var "quiere" get post. So, what do you think? and sorry for my english.

Single click form saving from the browser. Not attached to a single PC. Offline version (so I can use it if there is no internet, for example plug USB and have last sync-ed data). Ability to store plain text (notes, for example). Should work on Windows, Linux and Mac. So far I have been happy with RoboForm, but its offline USB version is not available on Linux.   • Opening offline version of Microsoft Books Online in browser

    I often use the MSDN website for language reference. In order to make navigation faster, I downloaded the offline version of SQL Server 2005 Books Online from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=be6a2c5d-00df-4220-b133-29c1e0b6585f&displaylang=en The reason why it is 137MB is that it comes with its own GUI, which, not surprisingly, is rather poor! Apparently though, the pages are written in html. The URIs look like: ms-help://MS.SQLCC.v9/sqlcc9/html/674933a8-e423-4d44-a39b-2a997e2c2333.htm . I can open the URI in IE, but with errors. Do you know if I can open them with Firefox and how? Or is there a simple HTML version of "MS Books Online", for example in a ZIP file?

  • Mountable online storage (no syncing)

    I have a Linux VPS that I would like to turn into a media server. Like most cheap VPS's, it has a fairly small storage capacity. What I would like to do is attach the box to an online backup system such as SpiderOak or DropBox, where the files would reside and be directly accessible to either a webserver or media server software. Since the VPS hdd is small, I do not want the files to be synced to it. I would like a storage system that is online only. Ideally mountable like a network drive. Are there any services that suit my needs, or workarounds for services such as SpiderOak that do not require syncing?

    I had a general question about streaming videos online; in particular, on YouTube. What really is required to smoothly stream videos at 360p or 480p? Then for that HD goodness, what really allows a computer to smoothly stream 720p and 1080p? I'm not too sure whether it's to do with the CPU (speed, # cores, cache size), GPU (chipset, VRAM, memory type) or even HDD (IDE vs SATA). What contributes to the ability to stream regular videos and, furthermore, high-definition videos online?

  • How To Find Reasons of Why Site Goes Online/Offline

    Seems today a website I manage has been going online and offline throughout the entire day. I have no idea what is causing the issue so I am seeking guidance on where to start. It is a Wordpress based site. So here is what I DO know: I use a program that pings the server every minute and when the server is not responding me it emails me, so I can know exactly when the site is online and offline. The site between 8pm to 12pm 12.28, and around the 1a hour early morning 12.29 (New York City timezone, and all times below are in same timezone). At the time of the ups/downs I see a lot of strain on the memory usage. Look at the load average when the site is going online/offline (http://screencast.com/t/BRlfXkqrbJII). Then I ran this command to restart http (http://screencast.com/t/usVtYWZ2Qi) and the memory usage then goes down to this (http://screencast.com/t/VdTIy3bgZiQB). An hour after I restarted http, the site then went offline/online so restarting the http didn't do much help. When the site is going offline/online, I ran the top command and get this (http://screencast.com/t/zEwr7YQj3). Here is a top command when the site is at it's lowest (http://screencast.com/t/eaMfha9lbT - so this would be dubbged "normal"). Here is a bandwidth report (http://screencast.com/t/AS0h2CH1Gypq). The traffic doesn't seem to be that much (http://screencast.com/t/s7hrWNNic1K), but looking at my times the site is going up/down this may be one of the reasons? I have the dvp Nitro package at Media Temple (http://mediatemple.net/webhosting/nitro/). So at this point I would request some help in trying to figure out what the cause of this is, and how I can go about pinpointing this issue. ANY HELP is greatly appreciated.

    Visual studio 2010 Premium installed on Widnows 7: when try to connect for online gallery or online template, give me error like: Cannot search for online exensions because an error occured while trying to contact the server and ask me enable access to extensions on the vistual studio gallery .... It did enabled in Extension Manager Tools/Options page. Internet connection was fine. Can't know why. On another computer: Windows 7, VS2010 utilmate trail version: this was fine.

    This seems a bit bizarre to me, but as far as I can tell, this is how you do it. I have a collection of objects, and I want users to select one or more of them. This says to me "form with checkboxes." My objects don't have any concept of "selected" (they're rudimentary POCO's formed by deserializing a wcf call). So, I do the following: public class SampleObject{ public Guid Id {get;set;} public string Name {get;set;} } In the view: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <%foreach (var o in ViewData.Model) {%> <%=Html.CheckBox(o.Id)%>&nbsp;<%= o.Name %> <%}%> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> <%}%> And, in the controller, this is the only way I can see to figure out what objects the user checked: public ActionResult ThisLooksWeird(FormCollection result) { var winnars = from x in result.AllKeys where result[x] != "false" select x; // yadda } Its freaky in the first place, and secondly, for those items the user checked, the FormCollection lists its value as "true false" rather than just true. Obviously, I'm missing something. I think this is built with the idea in mind that the objects in the collection that are acted upon within the html form are updated using UpdateModel() or through a ModelBinder. But my objects aren't set up for this; does that mean that this is the only way? Is there another way to do it?

    I'd really like to start including shopping cart functionality in my projects. At first im content relying on paypal links, but I really want to be learning about specific security threats and how to combat them. Eventually I want to feel comfortable receiving and sending customer credit card details for ecommerce. Obviously this is a common thing on the net but most tutorials and resources are content to say "it's every web developers responsibility to consider security, but we're not going to cover that here/today/ever." so, my question is, where is a good place to learn? And once I've learned, how do I stay abreast of new vulnerabilities as the web evolves?

    Hi all. I have a simple problem: I want to construct a regex that matches a form in HTML, but only if the form has any input tags. Example: The following should be matched (ignoring attributes): .. <form> .. <input/> .. </form> .. But the following should not (ignoring attributes): .. <form> .. </form> .. I have tried everything from look-arounds to capture groups but it quickly gets complicated. I want to believe there is a simple regex to capture the problem. Please note that it is important that the regex pairs the opening and closing tags according to the HTML code which means the following does not work: <form>.+<input/>.+</form> because it matches wrongly like this: .. <form> <--- This is wrongly matched as the opening tag .. </form> <form> <-- This is the correct opening tag of the correct form .. <input/> .. </form> <--- This is matched as the closing tag ..

The general idea is that we have 3 levels of security: a simple user - that can only access basic data that is in a data repository a manager - that can open up data repositories a superuser - that can open up repository factories. each repository contains various data types(text, images, etc etc). We are looking for authentication methods that will allow us: 1. Scalability. 2. Customization. 3. To create permissions that will effect the GUI + deny access to certain pages. 4. To create predefined roles - that will allow for easy setup of new users. 5. To create custom roles for specific users - allowing them permission sets that are different from the predefined roles.     Okay, I want to have an app that takes phone numbers from an online database and displays them in a table view. When the user is not online, I want them to still be able to see the numbers they already got from the database in the table view.
