    How on earth do people debug Django templatetags? I created one, based on a working example, my new tag looks the same to me as the existing one. But I just get a 'my_lib' is not a valid tag library: Could not load template library from django.templatetags.my_lib, No module named my_lib I know that this is probably because of something failing when defining the lib. But how do I see what's going on? What do you use to debug this situation?

    Hi, Due to the lack of Deployment functionality of Visual Studio Express edition, I'm here asking if anyone can recommend a very nice free Deployment template for the express edition. I'm mainly working with C# desktop project. I know that there is still ClickOnce deployment in the Express edition, but it seems to me that it is not so difficult to control, which means, you do "click once", then the tool will give you a bunch of files out of my control, not so easy to maintain.     I want to use PEAR's HTML_Template_IT in one of my Wordpress page templates so I can separate the HTML from the PHP. I got it working, except I am not sure about one thing. Wordpress's built-in function get_header() actually echo's HTML - so I can't technically set it as a template variable. Is this considered acceptable or is there another way to put the contents of get_header() in a variable? Thanks!

  • Good C++ Debugging/IDE Environment for Linux?

    I have a friend who is trying to make the switch to Linux, but is hung up on the apparent lack of debugging/IDE environments for C++, especially as they relate to template programming. He has been using visual studio for years and is maybe a little spoiled by their awesome IDE. Does anyone have any good suggestions for an environment where he can, under Linux, develop and debug with all of the usual things (Breakpoints, line highlighting for compilation errors, step in/over/out/etc, etc) that he's accustomed to?     I am new to Powershell and Powercli... but i manager few ESX environments and really would like to do as much as possible via powershell. I am trying to do as much as i can via Powershell. On with the help I need: I used this one liner to create VMs from templates. But the problem is there has to be some user input after each new VM is created. New-VM name -Template template -VMHost VMHost -Datastore Datastore What i would like to do is be able to import via CSV the name of the new vm, the template to use, the host to put the new vm and the datastore all from a CSV. I don't know if it is as easy as below, but i kept getting errors. Import-Csv "C:\powershell\Data\VM2Create.csv" | Foreach-object{ New-VM $.name -Template $.template -VMHost $.VMHost -Datastore $.Datastore} I know there some () or {} or possibly | that need... just don't know where to put them... So basically I've pared it down to needing to find out how to mess with the name of each input so that it can reflect the loop index appropriately, so Catalyst::Plugin::Params::Nested will build the correct structure. Thoughts?

    Hi, I have the following problem: the application is using the custom itemscontrol called ToolBox. The elements of a toolbox are called toolboxitems and are custom contentcontrol. Now, the toolbox stores a number of images that are retrieved from a database and displayed. For that I use a datatemplate inside the toolbox control. However, when I try to drag and drop the elements, I don't get the image object but the database component. In short, what I'm doing is basically I'm trying to iterate of the hyperlinkbuttons and set their visual state to active or inactive according to the url. The hyperlink buttons are located inside the datatemplate of an itemscontrols itemsource that is bound to a List where link is my custom class for links. Is there a best practice for styling the active hyperlink in a silverlight nav app? What I am using is the approach of the boilerplate code.

    I'm trying to write an auto-scaffolder for Index views. I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IQueryable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. So, I'd like to replace var items = (IQueryable<TestProj.ViewModels.TestViewModel>)Model; with var items = (IQueryable<T>)Model; or something to that effect. The <td> elements are not working because the Html in <%= Html.Display(property.DisplayName) %> contains the model for the view, which is a collection of items, not the item itself. Somehow, I need to obtain an HtmlHelper object whose Model property is the current item, but I'm not sure how to do that. How do I solve these two problems?
