    Hi, is it possible (a Google API or something) to get the ranking of a website given a search word? It's the code equivalent of doing a Google search for a word, then browsing through the results until you find the website you look for. By ranking I mean the position in the pages found, e.g. the site is number 4000 when searching for some word. Thanks!

  • c# bound Datagridview

    I have a datagridview and it is bound to a stored procedure which returns a number of result columns. There is also a binding navigator with "Add New" button included. If I click "Add New" button, it creates a new row in datagridview automatically, and If I leave that new row by clicking a different row. datagridview invokes "commit" or something. so the question is How do I make datagridview not to commit adding a new row when I leave the cell?

    The problem this time is to get the median of three values (easy) I did this: (define (med x y z) (car(cdr(x y z))) and it was accepted but when testing it: (med 3 4 5) I get this error: Error: attempt to call a non-procedure (2 3 4) And when entering letters instead of number i get: (md x y z) Error: undefined varia y (package user) Using something besides x y z I get: (md d l m) Error: undefined variable d (package user) the question was deleted dont know how anyway write a function that return the median of 3 values

  • Still failing a function, not sure why...ideas on test cases to run?

    I've been trying to get this Sudoku game working, and I am still failing some of the individual functions. All together the game works, but when I run it through an "autograder", some test cases fail.. Currently I am stuck on the following function, placeValue, failing. I do have the output that I get vs. what the correct one should be, but am confused..what is something going on? EDIT: I do not know what input/calls they make to the function. What happens is that "invalid row" is outputted after every placeValue call, and I can't trace why..     I have legacy system where all date fields are maintained in YMD format. Example: 20101123 this is date: 11/23/2010 I'm looking for most optimal way to convert from number to date field. Here is what I came up with: declare @ymd int set @ymd = 20101122 select @ymd, convert(datetime, cast(@ymd as varchar(100)), 112) This is pretty good solution but I'm wandering if someone has better way doing it

    This is perhaps more of a discussion question, but I thought stackoverflow could be the right place to ask it. I am studying the concept of instruction pipelining. I have been taught that a pipeline's instruction throughput is increased once the number of pipeline stages is increased, but in some cases, throughput might not change. Under what conditions, does this happen? I am thinking stalling and branching could be the answer to the question, but I wonder if I am missing something crucial.

    When working with NHibernate and Sql Compact in a Windows Form application I am wondering what is the best practice for managing connections. With SQL CE I have read that you should keep your connection open vs closing it as one would typically do with standard SQL. If that is the case and your using a IoC, would you make your repositories lifetime be singletons so they exist forever or dispose of them after you perform a "Unit of Work". Also is there a way to determine the number of connections open to Sql CE?

Eg: ABC1234, ABC2345 etc. How to retrieve the largest value (max equivalent of int type) from this column. In my case it would be ABC2345.     I use FileZilla, and I thought when a session ended, it automatically closed the ftp connection, but that doesn't appear to have happened because now I'm getting a "530 Sorry, the maximum number of connections (10) for your host are already connected." error. Is there a way to find any open ftp connections and close them from my end? Or, do I have to contact the host?
