    Hi I have a table with a field where words are written separated with new lines. So a select on this single field from to rows will output 3 lines for first row and 2 lines for second row: Row1 designationer nye kolonier mindre byer Row2 udsteder bopladser I would like to do a select that select all these lines as if they had been rows in the table like: SELECT do_the_split(field) FROM table so the result would be more like: Row1 designationer Row2 nye kolonier Row3 mindre byer Row4 udsteder Row5 bopladser is there any way to do this in MySQL?     Given two arrays like the following: a = array([1,2,4,5,6,8,9]) b = array([3,4,7,10]) I would like the output to be: c = array([1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10]) or: c = array([1,2,3,4,4,5,6,7,8,9,10]) I'm aware that I can do the following: c = sort(unique(concatenate((a,b))) I'm just wondering if there is a faster way to do it as the arrays I'm dealing with have millions of elements.     I'm trying to parse the output from a tool into a data structure but I'm having some difficulty getting things right. The file looks like this: Fruits Apple Auxiliary Core Extras Banana Something Coconut Vegetables Eggplant Rutabaga You can see that top-level items are indented by one space, and items beneath that are indented by two spaces for each level. The items are also in alphabetical order. How do I turn the file into a Python list that's something like ["Fruits", "Fruits/Apple", "Fruits/Banana", ..., "Vegetables", "Vegetables/Eggplant", "Vegetables/Rutabaga"]?

    Quite-probably a silly question, as I don't know much about Java/Jython/JRuby/bytecode, but.. I stumbled across _why's unholy again today.. It allows you to output Python bytecode from Ruby code.. Basically allowing them to produce the same bytecode.. Jython outputs Java bytecode, as does JRuby.. Since these both compile to the same bytecode, does this mean you could potentially use any Python library from Ruby, and Ruby libraries from Python?

    I'm looking for a programmatic interface to the Solaris ifconfig(1M) command. Apparently Linux has the getifaddrs(3) command, but as far as I can tell this has not been ported to Solaris. Short of attempting to use the code at the link above, is there any way to determine ifconfig(1M)-type data (network interface presence, state, etc.) without forking the system command and parsing the output?

  • How can I get make JavaScript code execution to wait until an AJAX request with script is loaded and executed?

    In my application, I am using Ext.Ajax.request to load scripts which I execute with eval. The problem is that since it takes time for the AJAX request to complete, code that is executed afterward which needs variables which are in the script loaded in via AJAX. In this example, I show how this is the case. CREATE FUNCTION st_box2d_in(cstring) RETURNS box2d AS '$libdir/liblwgeom', 'BOX2DFLOAT4_in' LANGUAGE c IMMUTABLE STRICT; yields an error could not access file "$libdir/liblwgeom": No such file or directory while CREATE FUNCTION st_box2d_in(cstring) RETURNS box2d AS '/usr/local/pgsql/lib/liblwgeom', 'BOX2DFLOAT4_in' LANGUAGE c IMMUTABLE STRICT; works correctly. The output of % pg_config --pkglibdir /usr/local/pgsql/lib appears to be correct.

    I'm trying to write some PowerShell functions that do some stuff and then transparently call through to existing built-in function. I want to pass along all the arguments untouched. I don't want to have to know any details of the arguments. I tired using 'splat' to do this with @args but that didn't work as I expected. In the example below, I've written a toy function called myls which supposed to print hello! and then call the same built-in function, Get-ChildItem, that the built-in alias ls calls with the rest of the argument line intact. What I have so far works pretty well: function myls { Write-Output "hello!"     When I pass compiler flag "-mmacosx-version-min=10.5", what does it mean? I think it implies the result binary is x86, not ppc, but is it 32 bits or 64 bits? I'm compiling on snow leopard, so default output binary is 64 bits. I'm not passing -universal, it's not 32bit-64bit universal binary, I think.
