  • PDO bindparam not working.

    I am trying to save data into a database using PDO. All columns save correctly with the exception of one. No matter what I try, I cannot get the data to go in. myfunc($db, $data) { echo $data; // <----- Outputs my data. example: 'jim jones' $stmt = $db->prepare("CALL test(:id, :data, :ip, :expires)"); $stmt->bindParam(':id', $id, PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(':data', $data, PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(':ip', $ip, PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->bindParam(':expires', $expires, PDO::PARAM_STR); ... } So even after verifying that the data variable in fact holds my data, the bindParam method will not bind. When I echo the data variable, I can see the data is there. It will not save though. If I copy the echo'd output of the data variable to screen and paste it into a new variable, it WILL save. I'm at this now for a couple of hours. Can someone please have a look? EDIT: I want to also mention that I have tried using bindValue() in place of bindParam() and the data for the data variable will still not save.

  • What is stopping data flow with .NET 3.5 asynchronous System.Net.Sockets.Socket?

    I have a .NET 3.5 client/server socket interface using the asynchronous methods. The client connects to the server and the connection should remain open until the app terminates. The protocol consists of the following pattern: send stx receive ack send data1 receive ack send data2 (repeat 5-6 while more data) receive ack send etx So a single transaction with two datablocks as above would consist of 4 sends from the client. After sending etx the client simply waits for more data to send out, then begins the next transmission with stx. I do not want to break the connection between individual exchanges or after each stx/data/etx payload. Right now, after connection, the client can send the first stx, and get a single ack, but I can't put more data onto the wire after that. Neither side disconnects, the socket is still intact. The client code is seriously abbreviated as follows - I'm following the pattern commonly available in online code samples. private void SendReceive(string data) { // ... The problem is that the second time I hit SendReceive in the client, the connection is already in a weird state. Do I need to do something in the client to preserve the SocketAsyncEventArgs, and re-use the same object for the lifetime of the socket/connection? I'm not sure which eventargs object should hang around during the life of the connection or a given exchange. Do I need to do something, or Not do something in the server to ensure it continues to Receive data? Store the couple member data in one field each... and separate with a comma in the data field ex: m_firstname (Mike, Sherry) Create a separate table site_member_c duplicating the same fields that are in site_member table.   • Is there anyway of making json data readable by a Google spider?

    Is it possible to make JSON data readable by a Google spider? Say for instance that I have a JSON feed that contains the data for an e-commerce site. This JSON data is used to populate a human-readable page in the users browser. (I.E. The translation from JSON data to human displayed page is done inside the users browser; not my choice, just what I've been given to work with, its an old legacy CGI application and not an actual server-side scripting language.) My concern here is that, the google spiders will not be able to pickup/directly link to the item in question when a user clicks on it in google, being presented with an index page full of all the items, rather than being linked directly to the item they clicked on. Is there anyway of "informing" the google spider in the JSON that what they should feed the user a different link?

    I manipulated some data from MySQL and the resulting dictionary "data" (print data) displays something like this : {'1': ['1', 'K', abc, 'xyz', None, None, datetime.date(2009, 6, 18)], '2': ['2', 'K', efg, 'xyz', None, None, None, None], '3': ['3', 'K', ijk, 'xyz', None, None, None, datetime.date(2010, 2, 5, 16, 31, 2)]} How do I create a table and insert these values in a MySQL table? In other words, how do I dump them to MySQL or CSV? Not sure how to deal with datetime.date and None values. Any help is appreciated.

At the moment I'd like it to output something like [[20,44], 10, 4], but when I tree.appendLeft(tree2) I get RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded, and when i even won't appendLeft(tree2) it outputs [10, 20, 44, 4] (!!!). What am I missing here? I'm using Portable Python 3.0.1. Thank you

    Hi, I'd like to make an ajax call as a POST, it's going to go to my servlet. I want to send parameterized data, like the following: var mydata = 'param0=some_text&param1=some_more_text'; I supply this as the 'data' parameter of my jquery ajax() call. So this should be inserted in the body of the POST, right? (I mean, not appended to my 'mysite/save' url?): $.ajax({ url: 'mysite/save', type: 'POST', data: mydata }); it appears to work correctly.   • In MVC2, how do I validate fields that aren't in my data model?

    I am playing with MVC2 in VS 2010 and am really getting to like it. In a sandbox application that I've started from scratch, my database is represented in an ADO.NET entity data model and have done much of the validation for fields in my data model using Scott Guthrie's "buddy class" approach which has worked very well. However, in a user registration form that I have designed and am experimenting with, I'd like to add a 'confirm email address' or a 'confirm password' field. Since these fields obviously wouldn't exist in my data model, how would I validate these fields client side and server side? I would like to implement something like 'Html.ValidationMessageFor', but these fields don't exist in the data model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    In my WinForms applications I often put the controls text data (form title, labels texts, button captions, etc.) into a .settings (feature automatically generated by Visual Studio - based on the ApplicationSettingsBase class). In particular, Add a form or a control. In Solution Explorer add a new string item into the application scope of the settings file. Bind the control text property with the corresponding item of the settings file (through the property binding). Good point of this is that all my text data is collected in one place and easy to check and edit. Also it is convenient when I want to use the same text for several controls. However, I haven't heard that somebody uses the .settings such way. In tutorials for creating multilingual applications, for example, it is recommended to enter texts directly into the control property. So, is it good practice to use .settings for storing controls text data? Brief conclusion from the answers: Storing controls text data in the .settings is not common practice.

Assuming multiple data series (water, electricity, etc) that each have an amount (usage) and a dollar value (charge for that usage), what would the best way be to to use flot to display either the amount or dollar values for all the data series, while still supporting toggling display for each individual series? The idea is to send down all the data in one GET request and then let the client take care of everything else in Javascript. Ideally we could use triplets somehow {date, amount, charge}, and then possibly split that into two arrays for flot.

  • mysql - how do I load data from a different configuration...

    I'm not sure if this will make sense, but I'll give it a shot. My hard drive went down and I had to reinstall the os along with all my webserver configuration,etc. I kept a backup of the mysql database, but it doesn't contain all the tables...I added a couple tables after my last backup. I have access to the hard drive and the directory where the mysql data files are stored from the failed hard drive, but I don't know how to retrieve the data into my new mysql database. Is it even possible to get the raw data files from mysql and load them into a different instance? I'd even be happy if there was some way for phpmyadmin to show the data files, then I could dump out to a backup txt file, and reload them into my new configuration. Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

If so, how can I access data that's stored in my App Delegate from various view controllers? Let me explain the scenario: I have two http servers. server A is accessible to end user by web browser, while server B is internal server which can only be accessed by server A. If server B generate some big jpeg image in local disk, obviously we can't just delivery those path to image to server A and eventually to end user. Then, how to let end user see those image without firstly storing those image data in server A temporarily? I run PHP on server A and perl on server B, but this should not matter. I need a general pattern for implementing this.

  • What can be the reason for Windows error ERROR_DISK_FULL (112) when opening a NTFS alternate data st

    My application writes some bytes of data to an alternate data stream. This works fine on all but one machine (Windows Server 2003 SP2). Instead, CreateFile returns ERROR_DISK_FULL when I try to create an alternate data stream (on the root directory). I don't find the reason for this result, because... There's plenty of space on that drive. The drive is NTFS formatted (due to GetVolumeInformation). The drive supports altenate data streams (due to GetVolumeInformation). Edit: I can provide some more information about what the reason not is: I added many streams on a test system which didn't show the error and wondered if the error might occur. It didn't. Instead after about 2000 Streams with long file names another error occurred and persisted: 1450 (ERROR_NO_SYSTEM_RESOURCES). EDIT: Here is an example for one of the used file names: char szStreamFileName[] = "C:\\:abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890abcdefghijklmnoqrstuvwxyz012345"; EDIT: Our customer uses some corporate antivirus software from Avira on this server. Maybe this is the reason (Alternate data streams can be abused by malware).

  • php : is this if condition correct?

    I have the following if condition statement if ( (strlen($data[70])>0) || ( (remove19((trim($data[29])) == '7135556666')) && isLongDistance($data[8])) ) where $data is a recordset from a database. My goal is to include all rows where $data[70] isn't blank, and also include rows where $data[29] = 713555666 && $data[8] isLongDistance = TRUE My question is, if isLongDistance($data[8]) returns false, will it still return the row since $data[70] is not blank? thanks in advance
