Need help with this Regex + UrlRewriter.NET please :)

Previously, on StackOverflow ... (Summarized) I need to capture all requests, for a particluar subdomain .. and rewrite their destination. Now, the trick to determining the host via regex was solved. Now, i need to make sure all requests to the root index page is rewritten, but i can't figure out the correct regex to find the 'homepage' / website root. this is what i have.... <if header="HTTP_HOST" match="^foo\.mydomain\.com\.au(?::\d+)?/?$">  <rewrite url="^/$" to="~/Pages/SomeWeirdFolder/Home.aspx" processing="stop"/> </if> Now if one of the rewrites were not found, then it falls through and continues. So .. can anyone please help?

.NET OutOfMemoryException on XMLSerializer.Serialize

I have a web site that is throwing OutOfMemoryExceptions on whenever it gets to the following spot in my code: XmlSerializer xs = new XmlSerializer(t, xoverrides); Seeing how this only happens when it is on the web server, i don't have a ton of information on why this is happening. I know that the objects that it is serializing aren't anything too serious-- definitely less than a MB each. Have you had this before? Feel like helping me diagnose the issue? I have been experiencing some very strange behavior using html buttons with the onserverclick attribute. What I am trying to do is use jQuery to designate the default button on the page. By default button I mean the button that is "clicked" when a user hits enter. In testing, I would hit enter while in an input field and sometimes the intended "default" button was clicked and the server side method defined in the corresponding onserverclick attribute was hit. Other times a post back was made without hitting the server method. In Firefox 3.6 and IE 8 when only one input exists on the page, hitting enter does not trigger the onserverclick, it makes a post back without even being jQuery "clicked" or actually "clicked". You can test this by starting with two inputs and clicking "test2". This will output "server method2 was hit". Then just hit enter and the output will be "server method1 was hit. Now take away an input and run the same test. Click "test2" see the results, then hit enter and you will see that nothing will change because the "test1" method was never hit. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks p.s. Chrome worked as expected

Testing SMTP with .net

I dont actually want the email to be sent, I just want to make sure that my code is correct. So I want to be able to check that the email is placed in a queue folder for example. Why no ArgumentEmptyException in .NET ?

I am beginning to think I am doing something wrong. I mean they did place System.String.IsNullOrWhitespace finally but no ArgumentEmptyException class. public FilterItem(string name, IEnumerable<string> extensions) { if (string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(name)) { throw new ArgumentNullException("name"); } if (extensions == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("extensions"); } if (extensions.Count() == 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("extensions"); } this.Name = name; this.Extensions = extensions; } throwing an ArgumentOutOfRangeException feels unnatural. Also an instance of ArgumentException is too general in my opinion. It's easy to me to create a new exception class call it this way and have it over with. What bugs me is that it's not in the BCL/FCL and I am beginning to think there's a good reason not to have it. Should there be one?

ASP.NET 4.0 webforms routing

I have an existing site that I'd like to convert to use routing, and after reading Scott Guthrie's post here, I built a working sample that works for most circumstances. However, since not all of the pages on the existing site match a particular pattern, I'll need to check against a database to determine which route (destination .aspx page) to use. For example, most pages are like this: http://www.mysite.com/people/person.html This is fine - I can easily route these to the view_person.aspx page because of the 'people' directory. But some pages are like this: http://www.mysite.com/category_page.html http://www.mysite.com/product_page.html This necessitates checking the database to see whether to route to the view_category.aspx page or the view_product.aspx page. And this is where I'm stuck. Do I create an IRouteHandler that checks the database and returns the route? Or is there a better way? The only code I've found that kind of fits is the answer to this question. Thanks in advance.

EventWaitHandle handle = new EventWaitHandle(false, EventResetMode.AutoReset); My producer thread code look like below produceSomething(); handle.Set(); In the consumer thread, I have to download data for every one minute or when prodcuer is called Set method try { while(true) { handle.WaitOne(60000, false); doSomething(); - downloads data from internet. takes lot of time to complete it. } } catch(ThreadAbortException) { cleanup(); } My question is if consumer thread is running doSomething funtion and producer calls set function, what would be state of Auto reset event object? My requreiment is as soon as producer calls set method i have to downlaod fresh data from intenet . If doSomething function is running, when Producer calls set method, i have to interrupt it and call again. Any help is appreciated. Regards Raju

I'm attempting to implement a repository pattern with my poco objects auto generated from my edmx. In my repository class, I have: IObjectSet<E> _objectSet; private IObjectSet<E> objectSet { get { if (_objectSet == null) { _objectSet = this._context.CreateObjectSet<E>(); } return _objectSet; } } public IQueryable<E> GetQuery(Func<E, bool> where) { return objectSet.Where(where).AsQueryable<E>(); } public IList<E> SelectAll(Func<E, bool> where) { return GetQuery(where).ToList(); } Where E is the one of my POCO classes. When I trace the database and run this: IList<Contact> c = contactRepository.SelectAll(r => r.emailAddress == "[email protected]"); It shows up in the sql trace as a select for everything in my Contact table. Where am I going wrong here? Is there a better way to do this? Does an objectset not lazy load... so it omitted the where clause? A control contains some HTML and some jQuery to handle a fancy tooltip to display when you click an image within a div. The control is then used on several different pages, sometimes within an updatePanel, sometimes not. I have the following code to handle loading the jQuery after a partial postback when the control is displayed within an update panel. Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest(EndRequestHandler); function EndRequestHandler(sender, args) { $('img.ormdShipping').each(function(){ $(this).qtip({ // some qtip options go here }) }); } Problem is, the jQuery doesn't load when the control is used anywhere other than an updatePanel. Do I need a second function that's triggered outside of the EndRequestHandler?
