  • Can't configure PAM + LDAP on Debian Lenny - Getting error=49 on server logs

    I've been migrating some servers and desktops using Ubuntu 10.04 from getting the users from an old OpenLDAP implementation to a newer Centos Active Directory. I haven't had any problems so far, until I reached a Debian Lenny server. I've set up the server as the others, setting /etc/ldap.conf and /etc/ldap/ldap.conf. However, when I issue "getent passwd", I get nothing from the LDAP server. Reading the pam_ldap manpage, I realized that /etc/ldap.conf was not an accepted file by pam_ldap -it worked with Ubuntu though-, so I renamed it to /etc/pam_ldap.conf. Same result.   • Recently "exposed" to Clicksor

    Previous information concerning my issue can be found here: Virus...? Tons of people talking. Not sure where else to ask. I heard the loud sounds and whatnot from one of the ads but nothing was harmed and other than having the life scared out of me nothing was immediately affected. Literally nothing has changed. I really don't know what to do. My PC seems fine and from what Malwarebytes and Spybot tells me none of my files have been infected with anything.   • Can't deploy rails 4 app on Bluehost with Passenger 4 and nginx

    I am at Bluehost (dedicated server) trying to run a rails 4 app. I asked to have my server re-imaged, specifying that I do not want rails, ruby, or passenger install automatically as I wanted to install the latest versions myself using a version manager (Bluehost by default offers rails 2.3, ruby 1.8, and passenger 3, which won't work with my app). I installed ruby 1.9.3p327, rails 4.0.0, and passenger 4.0.5. I can verify this by typing, "ruby -v", "rails -v", and "passenger -v" (also "gem -v"). I made sure to install these not as root, so that I don't get a 403 forbidden error when trying to deploy the app. I installed passenger by typing "gem install passenger", and then installed the nginx passenger module (into "/nginx") with "passenger-install-nginx-module". I am trying to run my rails app on a subdomain, http://development.thegraduate.hk (I am using the subdomain to show my client progress on the website). In bluehost I created that subdomain, and had it point to "public_html/thegraduate". I then created a symlink from "rails_apps/thegraduate/public" to "public_html/thegraduate" and verified that the symlink exists. The problem is: when I go to http://development.thegraduate.hk, I get a directory listing. There is nothing resembling a rails app. I have not added a .htaccess file to /rails_apps/thegraduate/public, as that was never specified in the installation of passenger. It was meant to be 'install and go'. When I type "passenger-memory-status", I get 3 things: - Apache processes (7) - Nginx processes (0) - Passenger processes (0) So it appears that nginx and passenger are not running, and I can't figure out how to get it to run (I'm not looking to have it run as a standalone server).   • HTTP downloads stop after some time, resuming is not possible

    When I try to download a file via HTTP, the downloads sometimes stop after around 30 MB. The download rates goes down to 0 B/s and no data keeps coming. When I stop the download and resume again, the download still hangs. But when I redownload it from byte 0 again, everything works fine up to 30 MB when it stops again. Sometimes, after some hours, it just works again without problems. The position in the file when the download stops is variable, but most of the time it is around 30–35 MB. As a download manager I use wget. The same behaviour happens though using curl and other download managers. The error occurs independently of the server I download from. I have also observed this error on other Linux computers in my network. All computers on my network run Gentoo Linux on x86. All internet connections on my network go through a server on my network which runs a transparent Squid proxy on port 80. That server is connected to a router, which is a Speedport W 700V by Deutsche Telekom AG. That router is connected to the internet using ADSL, with 448 kbit/s down speed and 96 kbit/s up speed. I am almost sure that my transparent proxy is not the problem. I turned that off without resolving the issue. I also connected to the router directly via WLAN without resolving the issue. I also tried to download over another port via HTTP. Furthermore, I tried to download the file using IPv6 with a gateway6 tunnel from my computer, which resulted in exactly the same problem. Now the strange thing is that everything works fine using FTP and HTTPS (also with wget on the same computer). Even more strange: when I resume the download that hanged over HTTP using FTP or HTTPS, download a few bytes that way, stop wget and then resume again using HTTP, it loads data again! But after a few MB, it may stop again. Unfortunately, files downloaded that way are always broken (the MD5 sum is not correct), so at some point, there must have been bogus data. I tried searching for HTML error messages in the downloaded file, but grep -i html does not find anything. (I cannot think of a way to search for GZIP-compressed HTML error messages in the file, so I did not try that.) I tried using strace on wget when it failed to resume a download, you can find the entire output on pastebin. It seems like whatever causes the issue speaks HTTP. It seems to speak HTTP that intelligently that it even regognises it in an IPv6-over-IPv4 tunnel. But what could that be and why does it only happen sometimes? The other possibility would be that there is a problem on my computer that is the same on other Gentoo Linux computers as well. Has anyone ever had such a problem? What could be the reason and where do I have to continue investigating to find out more about the issue? Update: I have just run into the problem again and tried to resume the download over the router’s WLAN, and this time it worked. Maybe I did something wrong during my last tests with the WLAN. Now maybe my transparent proxy server is in fact the problem. It is a very basic Squid proxy server that does not cache anything. Maybe the fact is interesting that a second Squid proxy runs on the same computer on another port. Update: A download hung again and this time I turned off all firewall settings and stopped all proxy servers. I failed to resume the download from my network server, which is directly connected to the router. So my proxy server definitely is not the cause the problem. I will try to upgrade the firmware of my router now, although I do not have admin access to it. I will see what I can do.

  • Wireless internet connection connects but internet does not work (no packets received). Wired does.

    When I connect my PC via ethernet cable to my ADSL router it works fine. When I connect via Wireless it connects and the internet will work for a random amount of time and then stop working. It stays connected with a strong signal but no packets are received. My laptop/iphone are right next to it and wireless works fine. If I open the Wireless USB status, it says it is connected to my SSID with full strength (54 mps - I am 3 meteres away from my router) and the activty shows as Packets 594 SENT and 105 RECEIVED (this goes up VERY slowly) I have tried the following: Turned off anitvirus and firewall completely. Tested the wifi signal- I am writing this on my laptop which is next to my PC and also has full wifi strength. Tried a different wireless adapter - I dug out an old PCI wireless card - it does the exact same thing. Compared all wireless settings to my laptop. I can ping google.com and it replies (sometimes with packet loss) When I reboot the PC it will connect for a minute or two (random time) and then just stops again. I tried Firefox, IE etc. no joy I have updated all latest versions (Netgear WG111v2) and drivers Checked Event Log - nothing unusual Ping the router (and even connect as admin for the few minutes when the internet does work) Changed the MTU down to 1200 using DrTCP Checked Device Manager for conflicts - none. I ping the router from the PC (192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.1) and it replies with 4 packets. BUT, on my router admin page (which I access via http on my laptop wirelessly) - if I ping 192.168.0.10 all packets timeout (pinging my laptop 192.168.0.12 works fine) My router admin page shows the leased IP address for 192.168.0.10 (ie it is definitely talking to the router initially) Now I am out of ideas - please help. I think it is an OS/Software issue as I have tried 2 different wireless adapaters (PCI and USB) with the same result but all other wireless devices work fine around mine). It's not the firewall. It is getting assigned an IP address correctly (my PC gets 192.168.0.10, my laptop is .12) It is assigned by DHCP. As soon as I plug in the ethernet cable it all works fine. Repairing the adapter sometimes helps but it will always stop working after a random time. The wireless adapter always shows as connected with Excellent signal but the internet does not work. I am running Windows XP SP3 and have tried a Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter. Thanks in advance! UPDATE: The internet seems to be working, it is just either sending packets too small or slow to work (some small pages load bits of them very slowly but then hang).     I am in the process of reinstalling the OS on a machine that will be used to host a couple of apps for our business. The apps will be local only; access from external clients will be via vpn only. The prior setup used a hosting control panel (Plesk) for most of the admin, and I was looking at using another similar piece of software for the reinstall - but I figured I should finally learn how it all works. I can do most of the things the software would do for me, but am unclear on the symbiosis of it all. This is all an attempt to further distance myself from the land of Configuration Programmer/Programmer, if at all possible. I can't find a full walkthrough anywhere for what I'm looking for, so I thought I'd put up this question, and if people can help me on the way I will edit this with the answers, and document my progress/pitfalls. Hopefully someday this will help someone down the line. The details: CentOS 5.5 x86_64 httpd: Apache/2.2.3 mysql: 5.0.77 (to be upgraded) php: 5.1 (to be upgraded) The requirements: SECURITY!! Install CentOS: While going through the install, I checked the Server Components option thinking I was going to be using another Plesk-like admin. In hindsight, considering I've decided to try to go my own way, this probably wasn't the best idea. Basic config: Setup users, networking/ip address etc. Yum update/upgrade.   • OpenVPN Server Ethernet Bridging Question

    Hello All, I am having a difficult time properly configuring an ethernet bridge using OpenVPN 2.0.9 install on CentOS 5 ( VPN server ). The goal that I am trying to complete is to connect a VM ( instance running on the same CentOS machine ) acting as a Microsoft Business Contact Manager server. I would then like this "BCM server" to serve Windows XP clients on 192.168.1.0/24 network as well as clients connecting from VPN ( 10.8.0.0/24 ). The setup as it is now was based off a known working configuration. The problem with the working configuration was that it would allow to the client to connect and access everything running on the VPN server ( SVN, Samba, VM Server ) but not any computers on the 192.168.1.0/24 network. I must disclose that the VPN server is behind a router/firewall.   • CentOS - Add additional hard drive raid arrays on Dell Perc 5/i card

    We have a Dell Poweredge 2900 system with Dell Perc 5/i card and 4 SAS hard drives attached, with NTFS partitions on them. We installed CentOS on one raid array on this controller with a different controller and it is working fine. We are now trying to access the drives shown above and they are not being shown in /dev as sdb, etc. sda is the drive that we installed centos on and it has sda1, sda2, sda3, etc. The CDROM has been picked up as well. If I scan for scsi devices then the perc and adaptec controllers are both found. sg0 is the CDROM and sg2 is the centos installed, however I think sg1 is the other drive but I cannot see anyway to mount the partitions, as only the drive is listed in /dev. If those numbers from fseek (48404774912) represent bytes, that would be something like 45 gigabytes, with this beeing a 3 terrabyte disk, which would give me 134 days to go, if the speed stays constant, and he scans the disk like this completly and only once. Do you have some advice for me? I have most of the data on that disk elsewhere, but I've put a lot of hours into sorting and merging it to this disk, so I would prefer to getting this disk up and running again, without formatting it anew. I don't think that the hardware is damaged since the disk is only a few months and since I can't see any I/O errors in the dmesg output.   • What needs updating when moving a bootable Windows 7 (or Vista) partition?

    When I move a bootable NTFS partition with Windows on it to a different block offset, what needs updating to make it bootable again? In particular, here's what I tried: I have a disk with several partitions, one of which is the NTFS partition with Windows on it, and the disk uses the plain old MBR block 0 for the partitions layout (no more than 4 partitions). Now I format and partition a new, larger, disk. There I make room for the NTFS partition and copy the contents from the old disk's NTFS Windows partition into. And I make the partition "active". However, when I try to boot from this disk, I get a "read error" message immediately and the booting stops, the exact text is: A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart I verified that both disks have the same boot sector code in block 0. It seems to me that something else might need updating. I guess that somewhere there's a absolute block reference that I need to update, probably pointing to the next level loader or to the NT kernel. Update: I found this article going quite into the depth of what I want to know. However, it says to modify boot.ini, but I have Windows 7 installed here, where such things appear to have changed: No boot.ini but a folder called System Volume Information with GUID and other data in it that sounds related to my problem. Going to keep digging... Update 2: Thanks to the terrible looking but very informative website by starman, I was able to figure out the first step: The NTFS boot sector has a field for "hidden" sectors. This feld has to contain the sector number of the boot sector. This solves the "read error" message. Now, however, I get a "BOOTMGR is missing" error instead. Looks like there's another place where a block number has to be adjusted, but I can't find anything in the code listing about this. I do find a lot of help sites suggesting Windows tools for fixing this "BOOTMGR is missing" problem, but none seem to know what goes on behind the scenes. Kind of like suggesting to re-install Windows when there's a little problem with it. At least, those fixes seem to work, mostly involving the Bcdedit and Bootrec tools. Now, who knows what they do, especially the latter, in regards to a moved partition? Update 3: After lots of trial-and-error attempts, I believe now that the solution lies in the BCD-Template registry file, residing usually inside \Windows\System32\config. If I get this updated using the "bcdboot" command, Windows starts up from it. I am now in the middle of figuring out what information this registry contains relevant to the above question. Any pointers to the contents of this registry are welcome. Update 4: Turns out that while the BCD-Template file gets rewritten and has different binary contents than its predecessor, the values inside do not change. So it must be something else that bcdboot.exe writes. I had previously already checked if it changes the first 32 boot blocks of the partition, but they appear to remain unchanged. Parititon map doesn't get changed, either. So what is it that bcdboot modifies besides the BCD registry? Any tips on how I can trace that? Are there low level tools that show me what files a program writes to? Update 5: The answer seems to be: c:\Boot\BCD is also changed, and that appears to be the key file for the boot manager's process. I'll investigate this later... Update 6: It seems to be an important detail that I had originally two partitions created when I installed Windows 7: A small partition of 204800 sectors which appears to be a bootstrap partition, followed by the actual, large, partition containing the Windows system (drive C:). When I tried to transfer this installation to a new, larger, disk, I had kept the same two partitions intact on the new drive, although they ended up at a different offset. This alone led to the "BOOTMGR is missing" message. Since then, I've used bcdboot.exe only on the Windows partition, which added the \Boot\BCD file on that partition. That file (and folder) did originally only exist on the smaller partition. Hence, this problem may be more complicated in my case as one partition (the boot strapper) referred to another partition (the one containing the OS), whereas other people may only have to deal with one partition containing both, and maybe there the solution is simpler. Update 7: Found one more detail: The \Boot\BCD file records the MBR's serial number. If that number doesn't match, the system won't boot. Next I'll test if there's also an absolute block reference stored in there.

When I gives my proxy username and password in this popup, it shows the soap request details. The same is applicable for the login url also. First it will ask for the 'Authentication' then it will take to the sugar crm login page? Is it a server security setting? If it is then how to set this user name and password using java in a web service call. The authentication required popup is same as the one which comes when we try to access the tomcat manager through a browser. Thanks

    I've been using django-mptt in my project for a while now, it's fabulous. Recently, I've found a need to override a model's save() method that uses mptt, and I'm getting an error when I try to save a new instance of that model: Exception Type: ValueError at /admin/scrivener/page/add/ Exception Value: Cannot use None as a query value I'm assuming that this is a result of the fact that the instance hasn't been stuck into a tree yet, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing this.   • SMO ConnectionContext.StatementTimeout setting is ignored

    I am successfully using Powershell with SMO to backup most databases. However, I have several large databases in which I receive a "timeout" error "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired". The timout consistently occurs at 10 minutes. I have tried setting ConnectionContext.StatementTimeout to 0, 6000, and to [System.Int32]::MaxValue. The setting made no difference. I have found a number of Google references which indicate setting it to 0 makes it unlimited. No matter what I try, the timeouts consistently occur at 10 minutes. I even set Remote Query Timeout on the server to 0 (via Studio Manager) to no avail. Below is my SMO connection where I set the time out and the actual backup function. Further below is the output from my script. UPDATE Interestingly enough, I wrote the backup function in C# using VS 2008 and the timeout override does work within that environment. I am in the process of incorporating that C# process into my Powershell Script until I can find out why the timeout override does not work with just Powershell.     I have an article that I want to publish on my Joomla! site. Every time I click apply or save. I get error 500 - An error has occurred! DB function reports no errors. I have no idea why this error comes up, al I can think is that it's a server error. I'm using TinyMCE to type articles together with Joomla! 1.5.11. Updated: I turned on Maximum error reporting in Joomla! and in the article manager I tried to save the article and got these couple of errors. Please check screenshot I tried adding <?php ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL); error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('log_errors',TRUE); ini_set('html_errors',TRUE); ini_set('display_errors',true); ?> at the top of the index.php pages for Joomla! but it does not show any errors. I checked the error logs on the server and also no errors come up. I managed to publish the article via phpMyAdmin but then something else happens. I try to access to article from the front end, by clicking on the link to the article, but only a blank page comes up. This is really weird, since the error log does not show any information. So I assume the error needs to be coming from Joomla!   • Rendering a WPF Network Map/Graph layout - Manual? PathListBox? Something Else?

    I'm writing code to present the user with a simplified network map. At any given time, the map is focused on a specific item... say a router or a server. Based on the focused item, other network entities are grouped into sets (i.e. subnets or domains) and then rendered around the focused item. Lines would represent connections and groups would be visually grouped inside a rectangle or ellipse. Panning and zooming are required features. An item can be selected to display more information in a "properties" style window. An item could also be double-clicked to re-focus the entire network map on that item. At that point, the entire map would be re-calculated. I am using MVVM without any framework, as of yet. Assume the logic for grouping items and determining what should be shown or not is all in place. I'm looking for the best way to approach the UI layout. So far, I'm aware of the following options: Use a canvas for layout (inside a ScrollViewer to handle the panning). Have my ViewModel make use of a Layout Manager type of class, which would handle assigning all the layout properties (Top, Left, etc.). Bind my set of display items to an ItemsControl and use Data Templates to handle the actual rendering. The drawbacks with this approach: Highly manual layout on my part. Lots of calculation. I have to handle item selection manually. Computation of connecting lines is manual. The Pros of this approach: I can draw additional lines between child subnets as appropriate (manually). Additional LayoutManagers could be added later to render the display differently. This could probably be wrapped up into some sort of a GraphLayout control to be re-used. Present the focused item at the center of the display and then use a PathListBox for layout of the additional items. Have my ViewModel expose a simple list of things to be drawn and bind them to the PathListBox. Override the ListBoxItem Template to also create a line geometry from the borders of the focused item (tricky) to the bound item. Use DataTemplates to handle the case where the item being bound is a subnet, in which case we would use another PathListBox in the template to display items inside the subnet. The drawbacks with this approach: Selected Item synchronization across multiple `PathListBox`es. Only one item on the whole graph can be selected at a time, but each child PathListBox maintains its own selection. Also, subnets cannot be selected, but would be selectable without additional work. Drawing the connecting lines is going to be a bit of trickery in the ListBoxItem template, since I need to know the correct side of the focused item to connect to. The pros of this approach: I get to stay out of the layout business, more. I'm looking for any advice or thoughts from others who have encountered similar issues or who have more WPF experience than I. I'm using WPF 4, so any new tricks are legal and encouraged.

  • How to tell Seam to inject a local EJB interface (SLSB) and not the remote EJB interface (SLSB)?

    Hello, I am using Seam with JBoss AS. In my application I have a SLSB which is also declared as a seam component using the @Name annotation. I am trying to inject and use this SLSB in another seam component using the @In annotation. My problem is that sometimes Seam injects the local interface (then the code runs fine) and sometimes seam injects the remote interface (then there is an error in execution of the code). I have tried doing all the things specified on this link: http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.2.0.GA/reference/en-US/html/configuration.html#config.integration.ejb.container The SeamInterceptor is configured, I have specified the jndi pattern in components.xml file ( < core:init debug="true" jndi-pattern="earName/#{ejbName}/local"/ ), I have also tried using the @JndiName("earName/ejbName/local") annotation for every SLSB, I have tried setting this property ( org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern=earName/#{ejbName}/local ) in the seam.properties file. I have also tried putting the text below in web.xml file <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern</param-name> <param-value>earName/#{ejbName}/local</param-value> </context-param> Even after doing all the above mentioned things, the seam still injects the remote interface sometimes. Am I missing something here? Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue and tell seam to always inject the local interface?   • Using Xlib via JNA to move a window

    I'm using JNA to manipulate application windows on Linux by sending Xlib messages but can't seem to move a window. My original implementation executed wmctrl on the shell to move the windows and that successfully moved the windows. Unfortunately, there's a noticeable amount of overhead associated with calling shell programs from Java, so now I'm trying to make direct API calls using JNA. I'm using the X11 example available from the JNA website and can successfully do a few tricks, such as enumerating the window IDs and reading window properties, so I know JNA+Xlib is at least partially working. First I tried moving the windows directly using XMoveWindow() but the window manager was apparently blocking those calls. I ran across a thread that suggested I needed to send a client message using XSendMessage(), so I've done that below, but apparently XSendMessage() is failing because the window doesn't move and I get a return value of 0. I'm guessing I omitted something obvious, but can't quite figure it out. Any suggestions? Note that, for the purposes of this example, the main method has a window ID hard-coded.   • VS2010 Assembly Load Error

    I am getting the following error when I try to build an ASP.NET 4 project in Visual Studio 2010: "Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Dev\project\trunk\bin\Elmah.dll' or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)". I have verified that the dll does, in fact, exist, and is getting copied to the bin folder correctly. I have also tried removing and then re-adding the reference to the project. The build only fails when I switch the Solution Configuration to "Release". It does not fail when the Solution Configuration is set to "Debug".   • Drools flow architecture, Drools flow events with AND join nodes

    I have been evaluating a number of frameworks including jBPM and Drools flow for my application requirements. Lots of the opinions seem to be inclined towards Drools flow as its more flexible, knowledge oriented, easier to integrate with business rules, etc.. The application is some sort of an Email Campaign manager , where different customers can sign in, prepare (design) and launch email campaigns. The application should be able to do the following : 1- Receive a list of email addresses, send emails to each of these addresses starting from a certain date and during a certain time interval of the day , do some custom actions, and then wait for reply emails. 2- If a reply email is received and depending on the response text of the email , and depending on the time the email was received certain actions need to happen, web service calls need to take place, and error handling for these calls. 3- The application will manage and run many and different campaigns (different customers and different flows for each customer) at any point of time. The first question is : Is Drools flow the way to go about this? My main concerns are scalability, suspending, resuming flows, and long wait, and flows management. As you see from the requirements : There is a scheduling part : Certain flows need to be run at a certain point in time, they need to get suspended and then resumed. For example start sending emails starting on Dec 1st 2010 and send emails only in the time interval between 08:00 and 17:00 GMT. By then it might be that all subscribers have been sent emails, but it might not be the case, the process needs to (resume) on Dec 2nd and send a second batch, however certain (users) already received emails and they should be able to (continue at different stages of the flow) There are long wait states : Days or even weeks , i need to persist, suspend / resume and terminate flows (manage flows) External Events : This is where i got stuck first, i tried to put together a simple flow (see attached screenshot) See image http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/9620/workflowwithevents.png , there is a start node , connected to an action node, connected to a join. An event node is connected to a second action node, which is connected to the join. The join is an AND join , after the join there is an action and the end node. The flow does not continue past the AND join and the flow seems to get stuck. The action following the node does not get triggered. I also went through the drools flow documentation , and all the example codes, however i didn't find anything there. In addition any hints about the way to go about architecting the solution, and implementing it would be great.

  • Why is AutoCompleteExtender not firing?

    Hi, I have some issue with the ASP AutoCompleteExtender control. I got one in my page that is working fine, but I have put another one in the same page, and I can't get it to work. Using HTTP Analyzer, no query is fired when I type into the textbox associated with it. Has anyone an idea? Both call the same webservice, with a different ContextKey parameter. The webservice cannot be the cause as it works in the first case (DevMgrTxtBox), and is not even called in the second (DevTxtBox). Properties of both controls are similar, I just changed the ID and targetControlID of the second. The code below is in a ContentPlaceHolder. I'm using VS2005 with .NET 2.0. AjaxControlToolkit.dll is in version 1.0.20229.0. EDIT: solution found. The ID is not the only thing that needs to be unique, the BehaviorID property must be unique too.   • Enable button based on TextBox value (WPF)

    This is MVVM application. There is a window and related view model class. There is TextBox, Button and ListBox on form. Button is bound to DelegateCommand that has CanExecute function. Idea is that user enters some data in text box, presses button and data is appended to list box. I would like to enable command (and button) when user enters correct data in TextBox. Things work like this now: CanExecute() method contains code that checks if data in property bound to text box is correct. Text box is bound to property in view model UpdateSourceTrigger is set to PropertyChanged and property in view model is updated after each key user presses. Problem is that CanExecute() does not fire when user enters data in text box. It doesn't fire even when text box lose focus. How could I make this work? Edit: Re Yanko's comment: Delegate command is implemented in MVVM toolkit template and when you create new MVVM project, there is Delegate command in solution. As much as I saw in Prism videos this should be the same class (or at least very similar). I found command manager helper class in DelegateCommand.cs and I'll look into it, maybe there is some mechanism that could help. Anyway, idea that in order to activate command based on user input, one needs to "nudge" command object in property setter code looks clumsy. It will introduce dependencies and one of big points of MVVM is reducing them. Is it possible to solve this problem by using dependency properties?
