  Hi, I'm having problems delete an unknown (orphaned) VM from an ESX 3.5 host. When I attempt to right click the VM I get the following error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Steps taken so far. 1. Removed the host from the cluster 2. Removed the host from vCenter 3. Rebooted the host 4. Edited the file vmInventory.xml & cleared the file 5. I initially tried starting the server using: asadmin start-domain and received the following error message: JVM failed to start: com.sun.enterprise.admin.launcher.GFLauncherException: The server exited prematurely with exit code 1. Before it died, it produced the following output: Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Command start-domain failed. • Getting a list of patches in an HPSA patch policy

  I'm trying to get a list of patches contained in a Patch Policy in HPSA -- I can get what I need via the Twister web interface (under PatchPolicy.getPatches(), give it an ID, and it happily returns a list of patches contained.) -- I'm having a hard time getting this to work via the Pytwist interface, though... I haven't used the Pytwist interface for much besides some very basic Device manipulation, and Python is.. not my forte. I create the TwistServer object, then a PatchPolicy object from that (which I think is working..), but can't figure out how/where to call the getPatches() method from in Python-land. If there's a way to dig this out of the database itself, that would work, too, but I can't seem to find much in there along these lines besides the vendor-recommended patching stuff, and we use custom policies.

I can set these audit controls by hand using the Security tab, but there are at least 200 files for which doing by hand may lead to human errors. How can I get around TrustedInstaller and set these audit controls using Powershell?

  Doing performance testing on an AD-LDS (Server 2008 R2 64 bits), we created a milion user in a single OU. We also created a single group object and made those milion users member of that group. When we try to list the milion of users ADSIEdit times out with an error message saying it cannot display that many users. Fine. But if we open the properties for the group, ADSIEdit freezes, eating up all available memory and CPU trashing (nearly 60M page faults in under an hour). AD-LDS (running on another computer) is barely hitting the 1% CPU mark, servicing other ldap requests as if nothing were. We can throw more memory at the problem, but more users will have to be managed one day and we will be back at square one. Is there a way to set a limit in ADSIEdit so that it will not hang the computer when retreving a very large multi-value object ?

  I need to be able to export user name or email address (doesn't matter which), company (from the company field under the organization tab in a user account of the exchange admin console), and license type (e.g. exchange online e1, exchange online kiosk etc...) I am able to export both values in two statements into two separate files but that doesn't do me much good. I use firefox 3.6.13 on linux gentoo amd64 and flash 10.2 debug version, i also have firebug flashbug and flashfirebug installed. my problem is that whenever I run a flash application that encounters an error, the browser does not open an alert window. it makes it more difficult to debug applications because i need to make sure that the firebug window is always opened. the only way i can see the error is if i open the flash tab in firebug. is there a way to change this behavior ? i checked .xsession-errors and tried running firefox from console: these are the only errors the i see in the log and these errors do not appear when the flash app encounters an error which means they are not related: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": libcanberra-gtk-module.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gnomebreakpad": libgnomebreakpad.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory thanks

Problem is, that I can have two or more user objects with the same value stored in that attribute, which is something that I would like to avoid. • Oracle 10.2.0.1 --> 10.2.0.4 patchset errors on Advanced Queuing tables. Serious or not?

  We're running Oracle on RHEL 5.4 64-bit. We recently did an upgrade from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4. Many errors were generated during the upgrade (sample listed below from trace.log) but during application testing afterward everything seemed fine (clean EXP, inserts, updates, deletes, etc.). The errors look like they are all related to Advanced Queuing tables and views. We are not using replication at all, this is a simple single instance db. ORA-24002: QUEUE_TABLE SYS.AQ_EVENT_TABLE does not exist ORA-24032: object AQ$_AQ_SRVNTFN_TABLE_T exists, index could not be created ORA-24032: object AQ$_ALERT_QT_S exists, index could not be created for queue ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYSCALLS", line 117 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYS", line 5116 Is this worth worrying about, and if so, how do I go about cleaning up/recreating the corrupted and/or missing objects?

  I have the following script that parses an HR output file looking for employees and outputs information such as Hire Dare, First Name, Last Name, Supervisor etc. The problem I have is that in the current format I think the Hire Date column is being treated as a string so in effect it orders the output by month (i.e. 1/1/01 comes before 2/2/98). Is there a way to map that column to a date/time so it sorts properly?
