Deploying project, created with Eclipse and Maven, to Tomcat

I'm using Eclipse 3.5, Maven 2, m2eclipse and Tomcat 6. Trouble with client side validation using Struts 2. Xml based validation rules not recognized.

Hi, This is my first post to ask a question on stack overflow and my issue is that when I don't see a client side validation error message when I don't enter any values for that field even when it is configured as required. The input page is reloaded but no error message is seen. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My scenario is given below: I have a simple form where I have a pull down menu called selection criterion. A value must be selected. If a value is not selected, then the page should reload with configured error message. Ensuring a divs content has changed over time in Selenium

I have a div that contains a slideshow. ( http://film.robinhoodtax.org/issues/education ) I am using Selenium to test it. So far I have been using the HTML/Selenium script below to validate that the slideshow is actually working. But my assertEval is failing. How can I correctly detect the slideshow and make sure it is moving?. Hello, Again i see that the @PostConstruct is firing every time even though no binding attribute is used. I thought i have made some mistake in my application. But when i created this simplest possible in JSF, i still get this error. Am i not understanding the scopes of JSF? or are they not testing it properly? Further, if you remove c:forEach and replace it with ui:repeat, then it works fine. Waiting for replies to confirm whether it is bug or it is intentional to stop the programmers from using jstl?

Generating cache file for Twitter rss feed

I'm working on a site with a simple php-generated twitter box with user timeline tweets pulled from the user_timeline rss feed, and cached to a local file to cut down on loads, and as backup for when twitter goes down. I based the caching on this: http://snipplr.com/view/8156/twitter-cache/. It all seemed to be working well yesterday, but today I discovered the cache file was blank. Deleting it then loading again generated a fresh file. The code I'm using is below. I've edited it to try to get it to work with what I was already using to display the feed and probably messed something crucial up. The changes I made are the following (and I strongly believe that any of these could be the cause): - Revised the time difference code (the linked example seemed to use a custom function that wasn't included in the code) Removed the "serialize" function from the "fwrites". This is purely because I couldn't figure out how to unserialize once I loaded it in the display code. I truthfully don't understand the role that serialize plays or how it works, so I'm sure I should have kept it in. If that's the case I just need to understand where/how to deserialize in the second part of the code so that it can be parsed. Removed the $rss variable in favor of just loading up the cache file in my original tweet display code. I'm thinking it has something to do with writing a blank cache file over a good one when twitter is down, because otherwise I imagine that this should be happening every ten minutes when the cache file is overwritten again, but it doesn't happen that frequently. I made the following change to the part where it checks how old the file is to overwrite it: $cache_rss = file_get_contents('http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/75168146.rss'); if($mtime > 600 && $cache_rss != ''){ $cache_static = fopen($cache_file, 'wb'); fwrite($cache_static, $cache_rss); fclose($cache_static); } …so now, it will only write the file if it's over ten minutes old and there's actual content retrieved from the rss page. Do you think this will work?

Why does this XSL fails to retrieve value from xml ?

How do I invoke/access a property of a managed bean when the bean name is known, but is not yet constructed? Unit testing authorization in a Pylons app fails; cookies aren't been correctly set or recorded

I'm having an issue running unit tests for authorization in a Pylons app. It appears as though certain cookies set in the test case may not be correctly written or parsed. Cookies work fine when hitting the app with a browser. Here is my test case inside a paste-generated TestController: def test_good_login(self): r = self.app.post('/dologin', params={'login': self.user['username'], 'password': self.password}) r = r.follow() # Should only be one redirect to root assert 'http://localhost/' == r.request.url assert 'Dashboard' in r This is supposed to test that a login of an existing account forwards the user to the dashboard page. Instead, what happens is that the user is redirected back to the login. The first POST works, sets the user in the session and returns cookies. Although those cookies are sent in the follow request, they don't seem to be correctly parsed. Lastly, the user is redirected to the login page, indicating that the user isn't logged in. Authorization in the app is done via repoze.who and repoze.who.plugins.ldap with repoze.who_friendlyform performing the challenge. I have a War and Jar project in my Eclipse-based JSF project. My problem is that JSF is apparently not detecting the classes I have which sport annotations. The War project has all of my .xhtml files as well as the project's faces-config.xml, my Jar project has all of my faces related Java code (action beans, managed beans, custom converters, etc.)

ASP.NET Login Page Redirection Problem

Hello everyone! I'm building a silverlight application hosted on ASP.NET Web App. / IIS7 / SSL-enabled website. For security, I put my silverlight page inside a Members folder in the ASP.NET Web Application, and restricted access from anonymous users.(see web.config below) when users try to access pages under Members folder, they get redirected to https://www.ssldemo.com/authenticationtest/login.aspx. How to use XSLT to tag specific nodes with unique, sequential, increasing integer ids?

Hi, I'm trying to use XSLT to transform a document by tagging a group of XML nodes with integer ids, starting at 0, and increasing by one for each node in the group. The XML passed into the stylesheet should be echoed out, but augmented to include this extra information. Just to be clear about what I am talking about, here is how this transformation would be expressed using DOM: states = document.getElementsByTagName("state"); for( i = 0; i < states.length; i++){ states.stateNum = i; } This is very simple with DOM, but I'm having much more trouble doing this with XSLT. The current strategy I've devised has been to start with the identity transformation, then create a global variable which selects and stores all of the nodes that I wish to number. I then create a template that matches that kind of node. The idea, then, is that in the template, I would look up the matched node's position in the global variable nodelist, which would give me a unique number that I could then set as an attribute. The problem with this approach is that the position function can only be used with the context node, so something like the following is illegal: <template match="state"> <variable name="stateId" select="@id"/> <variable name="uniqueStateNum" select="$globalVariable[@id = $stateId]/position()"/> </template> The same is true for the following: <template match="state"> <variable name="stateId" select="@id" <variable name="stateNum" select="position($globalVariable[@id = $stateId])/"/> </template> In order to use position() to look up the position of an element in $globalVariable, the context node must be changed. I have found a solution, but it is highly suboptimal. Basically, in the template, I use for-each to iterate through the global variable. For-each changes the context node, so this allows me to use position() in the way I described. The problem is that this turns what would normally be an O(n) operation into an O(n^2) operation, where n is the length of the nodelist, as this require iterating through the whole list whenever the template is matched. I think that there must be a more elegant solution. UnauthorizedAccessException on MemoryMappedFile in C# 4.

Hey, I wanted to play around with using a MemoryMappedFile to access an existing binary file. If this even at all possible or am I a crazy person? The idea would be to map the existing binary file directly to memory for some preferably higher-speed operations. I don't think it's file-permissions, since I'm running as a nice insecure administrator user, and there aren't any other programs open that might have a read-lock on the file. This is on Vista with UAC disabled. If it's simply not possible and I missed something in the documentation, please let me know. I could barely find anything at all referencing this feature of .net 4.0 Thanks!

Rendering a UIWebView in drawRect with loadHTMLString

Hello there, I am having a problem with UIWebView. I'd like to render my own html code in it. When I add a webview as a subview and put in some html code it renders just fine. When it gets down to some optimized drawing of tableview cell with the drawRect method the problem pops up. Drawing UIView descendants works pretty well this way. It's even possible to load a URL with the loadRequest method, setting the delegate, conforming to the UIWebViewDelegate protocol and redrawing the table cell with setNeedsDisplay when webViewDidFinishLoad is called. It does show, but when it comes to loadHTMLString, nothing shows up, only a white rect. Due to performance reasons I have to do the drawing in the drawRect method. Any ideas? JQuery Thickbox - Can't get it to display

Hi All, I am using JQuery for the first time today. I can't make it to work (It simple doesnt show up). I want to display inline content using Thickbox (Eventually I will be displaying a PDF in an iframe). Silverlight ScriptableMember in Firefox 'Content is undefined' error.

HttpClient POST fails to submit the form

Hi, I'm writing an app to check for the bus timetable's. Therefor I need to post some data to a html page, submit it, and parse the resulting page with htmlparser. I have got a problem handling data which is almost well-formed XHTML document except for it has multiple DTD declarations in the beginning: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 Final//EN"> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 Final//EN"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> ... </head> <body> ... </body> </html> I need load this data into XDocument object using only the first DTD and ignoring the rest declarations. It is not possible to completely ignore DTD processing because the document may have unusual characters like â or € etc. The text is retrieved from external source and I have no idea why it comes like this. Obviously my naive attempt to load this document fails with System.Xml.XmlException : Cannot have multiple DTDs: var xmlReaderSettings = new XmlReaderSettings { DtdProcessing = DtdProcessing.Parse XmlResolver = new XmlPreloadedResolver(), ConformanceLevel = ConformanceLevel.Document, }; using (var xmlReader = XmlReader.Create(stream, xmlReaderSettings)) { return XDocument.Load(xmlReader); } What would be the best way to handle this kind of data?

HTML 5 Video OnEnded Event not Firing

I'm trying to react to the HTML 5 onended event for the video tag without success. In the code snippet below I added the mouseleave event to be sure the jQuery code is correct and that event does activate the alert() box. The video plays just fine but onended does not cause my alert() to fire off. dijit tree and focus node

Hello, I cannot get focusNode() or expandNode() get working. I also tried switching back to dojo 1.32 and even 1.3, no difference to 1.4. And I debugged with firebug, the node is a valid tree node and no errors occur but the node wont get focused.
