• UIScrollView and Cocos2D

  I have created a UIScrollView in a cocos2d application. I am adding sprites dynamically, over 3 pages. On the first page, touch works perfectly on a sprite, however if I use the scroll view and navigate to the second page, touch does not work quite right... the sprite will respond to the touch when I touch the screen, approximately the amount I have scrolled to the left. If I scroll back to the first page, touch works perfectly for a sprite. Any ideas? I am using the following tutorial: http://getsetgames.com/2009/08/21/cocos2d-and-uiscrollview/ :)

  Hi! I created a AutoCompleteExtender on a TextBox that resides on a UserControl (Control.ascx file). I don't want to create a separate class for the web method, i rather placing it in the code file (Control.ascx.cs) itself. Is there a way? I have successfully tried once ago placing the method on the same page but it was a page, and if ServicePath property is not set it's automatically refered to the page so it worked, now since it's a user control it doesn't even when I explicitly specify the path.

  Hello everybody, I get this error every time I open IE8 in Win7, and a popup appear which says: this tab has been recovered and it close open the tab that I can't even surf a page (any page) with IE8, and after a while it crashes and close the program with no such an obvious error, I tried these methods to solve the problem but it doesn't work: 1.Reset Internet Explorer settings 2.Run IE without Add-ons 3.Scanned system for viruses with Eset Smart sercurity 4, there was no viruses. I would appreciate any suggestion, thanks.

• How do I Reset Sync Location when rereading a Kindle Book

  I feel like an idiot but for the life of me I can't find the answer to this question. Whispernet syncs your reading location across all books right? How do you reset that location? If I want to read a book for the second time if I try to sync to the furthest page read it will push me to the last page because that's the furthest I've read. Am I doomed to only read Kindle books once?

• Android ProgressDialog Progress Bar doing things in the right order

  I just about got this, but I have a small problem in the order of things going off. Specifically, in my thread() I am setting up an array that is used by a Spinner. Problem is the Spinner is all set and done basically before my thread() is finished, so it sets itself up with a null array. How do I associate the spinners ArrayAdapter with an array that is being loaded by another thread? I've cut the code down to what I think is necessary to understand the problem, but just let me know if more is needed. The problem occurs whether or not refreshData() is called. Along the same lines, sometimes I want to call loadData() from the menu. Directly following loadData() if I try to fire a toast on the next line this causes a forceclose, which is also because of how I'm implementing ProgressDialog. • Button click does not start Service in Android App Widget

  I'm having trouble starting a Service to update an AppWidget that I'm creating as an exercise. I'm trying to get the latitude and longitude of spoofed location data from DDMS to display in the widget. The widget uses a service to update the TextView, which may be slightly overkill, but I wanted to follow the template that seems to be common in AppWidgets that do more work (like the Forecast widget or the Wiktionary widget). Right now, I'm not getting any error messages or strange behavior; nothing at all happens when the button is pressed. I'm a bit mystified as to what might be wrong. Could anyone out there point me in the right direction? Additionally, if my logic for location is faulty, I'd love recommendations on that too. I've looked at several blogs, the Google examples, and the documentation, but I feel a little fuzzy on how it works. • IE8: intense flickering for Flash in Windows 7 RTM

  Whenever I view a page with Flash on it (example www.fox.com), if I move my mouse around the page flickers intensely - like siezure inducing flicker. Is this a known issue, and is there a way to fix it? Windows 7 RTM x64 IE8 Flash Player, Acrobat Reader, Shockwave Player are all I installed Consistent across 3 very different machines (AMD ZM-82 + Radeon HD3200 laptop, Core i7 + NVidia GT220 desktop, P4D + NVidia 6400GT desktop), but all with the above software.

• How do the performance characteristics of jQuery selectors differ from those of CSS selectors?

  I came across Google's Page Speed add-on for Firebug yesterday. The page about using efficient CSS selectors said to not use overqualified selectors, i.e. use #foo instead of div#foo. I thought the latter would be faster but Google's saying otherwise, and who am I to go against that? So that got me wondering if the same applied to jQuery selectors. This page I found the link to on SO says I should use $("div#foo"), which is what I was doing all along, since I thought that things would speed up by limiting the selector to match div elements only. But is it really better than writing $("#foo") like Google's saying for CSS selectors, or do CSS versus jQuery element matching work in different ways and I should stick with $("div#foo")?

• Need Help with Jquery TableSorter Pager plugin.

  Hi I am using the tablesorter plugin: http://tablesorter.com/docs/ with jquery 1.4.2 Now my problem is this. The user can dynamically add rows to the table. But this seems to mess up the paging. Like first it gets added to the first "page" of rows but if you would go to the second page and you go back to the first page. You newly record is gone. I don't know where it goes but it is just gone. I tried to do this $('#pagerid').unbind('click'); $('#tbl tbody ').append(response.HtmlRow); $('#tbl').trigger('update'); So I tried to unbind the pager click method and do a trigger update but that does not seem to work. • jQuery: Dynamic image handling (waiting for load)

  I'm trying to write a plugin that has a built in function to wait until all images that are on the page to be loaded before it executes itself. $(window).load() only works if it's the initial load of the page, but if someone wants to pull down some HTML through AJAX that contains images, it doesn't work. Is there any good way of doing this AND implementing it so that it can be self-contained in the plug-in? I've tried looping over $('img').complete, and I know that doesn't work (the images never load, and the browser crashes under a "script takes too long to complete" bug). For an example of what I'm trying to do, visit the page I'm looking to house the plugin at: http://www.simplesli.de If you go to the "more uses" section (click it on the nav bar), you'll see that the image slideshow won't load properly. I know the current code doesn't work, but it's just holding place until I figure something out.

  I have a specific situation with slideToggle that creates a flicker in Firefox. The situation was when the expanding element goes longer than the page and a vertical scrollbar appears in Firefox. If you scroll down to read all of the text in the expanding element and then click on the trigger to close the element, Firefox would flash for a second and then the page readjusts and returns to its position before the expanded element was expanded. I have tried adding ‘return false;’ to no avail.   I'm using the Chart Controls for Mircosoft .NET Framerwork. Most of the time they work perfectly. However, if I leave a page for longer than 20-30 mins and then try to refresh the page, I get an error saying: Error executing child request for ChartImg.axd. Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: Error executing child request for ChartImg.axd. If I update the page using an AJAX update panel I get the following error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Error executing child request for ChartImg.axd It seems that the chart handler stops after a period of inactivity. Most of the webpages I've looked at for this error are for situations when this error is displayed all the time. In my case it is only displayed after a period of inactivity. Can someone provide a better explanation of what is happening and suggest a solution?

  I am popping up an HTML page from a Silverlight application using the HtmlPage.PopupWindow() method. I am trying to handle the event of when the popup window is closed from within Silverlight. The Silverlight app and the HTML popup page are on the same domain, however they are actually on different ports. I was thinking that maybe the pages being on different ports would be considered a cross-site restriction and cause the JavaScript to fail.

  I'm using ASP.NET MVC to develop a web application, deploying to IIS 7. I've hidden my Files and Views directories with web.config files in those directories (they just return a normal 404). However, I haven't been able to get the web.config method to work in hiding my bin directory. When I access www.mywebapp.com/bin, I instead get a too-revealing page with this message: HTTP Error 404.8 - Not Found The request filtering module is configured to deny a path in the URL that contains a hiddenSegment section. The page reveals part of my directory structure. I just want it to return my 404 page like the Files and Views directories do. How can I get this behavior?

  When I add jquery to sharepoint 2007 (MOSS) and try and use it on a page no matter what I write on the client i get an "object expected" at the line/column where the "$" appears. I have used fiddler to check that the client is downloading the query JS (which it is) But its like its being ignore and therefor eth "$" is not understood. • Wordpress: sort into sub-pages, then sort by tag

  I have a wordpress page with two or three sub-pages ("TV", "WEB", "WATCH") and I would like to have the sub-page links on the page itself. So, far, I can pull the sub-pages the following way: <?php $children = wp_list_pages('title_li&child_of='.$post->ID.'depth=1&echo=0'); if ($children) { ?> <ul> <?php echo $children; ?> </ul> <?php } ?> However, is there a way to loop through $children so I can pull each link by it's tag? i.e. using has_tag('tv'), has_tag('web') Between the wordpress conditional tags and php, I am not sure how to write this.

• Isapi Rewrite : Remove filename from URL

  Hi there Im am trying to use the isapi rewrite tool on my web domain to write some basic rules, but am getting a bit confused. My base url is http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/index.cfm and every page on the site follows from this base url. For example http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/index.cfm/artist/blondie would be the artist page for blondie.. What I am looking for, is a rewrite rule, that would remove the index.cfm from the url, instead leaving http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/artist/blondie. I have put the httpd.ini file in my musicexplained folder, under the root of my forevr-dev.co.uk domain, and I am using the following code below, which I used from the coldbox coldfusion framework application examples. RewriteEngine On RepeatLimit 0 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.cfm/%{REQUEST_URI} [QSA,L] However, when I now go to the new pretty url, I am recieving an error message saying that the page cannot be found, alongside a 404 message. Any ideas? Thanks

• jQuery Cycle multi slideshows and independent keyboard navigation.

  I have a page with 2 (or more) jQuery tabs. Each tab contains a jQuery Cycle slideshow with prev/next paging appended in the code. I've added keyboard navigation of the slideshows, based on a tutorial at jqueryfordesigners dot com. Keyboard nav works for each slideshow but the slides page in synchrony, i.e. if paging to the 3rd slide in tab 1, when tab 2 is viewed it is showing it's 3rd too. Any way to make them page independently? See http://pastie.org/916682

• Cross-domain jQuery using YQL gives robots.txt error

  On the page http://qxlapps.dk/test.htm I am trying to perform an Ajax load from another domain, qxlapp.dk. I am using James Padolsey's xdomainajax.js plugin from: http://james.padolsey.com/javascript/cross-domain-requests-with-jquery/ When I open my test page, I get no output, but FireBug shows the JSON result, including the error message: "forbidden":"robots.txt for the domain disallows crawling for url: http://qxlapp.dk/projects/dagens_kup/show.php". The robots.txt on the qxlapp.dk domain contains the following: User-agent: Yahoo Pipes 2.0 Allow: / User-agent: * Allow: / So I don't see what the problem is? Shouldn't it pull the page just fine with those settings?
