• Entity Framework 4 mapping fragment error when adding new entity scalar

  I have an Entity Framework 4 model-first design. I create a first draft of my model in the designer and all was well. I compiled, generated database, etc. Later on I tried to add a string scalar (Nullable = true) to one of my existing entities and I keep getting this type of error when I compile: Error 3004: Problem in mapping fragments starting at line 569: No mapping specified for properties MyEntity.MyValue in Set MyEntities. An Entity with Key (PK) will not round-trip when: Entity is type [MyEntities.MyEntity] I keep having to manually open the EDMX file and correct the XML whenever I add scalars. Ideas on what's going on?

When I send small file like 1kb txt everything is ok, but when I send larger file like 100 kb jpg or 2gb psd I get: The remote server returned an unexpected response: (400) Bad Request. • MSBuild target _CopyWebApplication does not copy all necessary files to the bin folder

  Elsewhere on the Web, you can find recommendations on using something like this to simulate the Publish feature in the VS 2005-2008 IDE from a command-line (I hope I did not goof up the syntax!): msbuild /t:ResolveReferences;_CopyWebApplication /p:BuildingProject=true;OutDir=C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ blah.csproj Now, it looks like the .dll's copy fine. However, there are certain configuration files and template files that are copied to the bin folder which are needed for the app to work. For example, an NHibernate configuration file shows up in blah.csproj as: <None Include="blah.cfg.xml"> <CopyToOutputDirectory>PreserveNewest</CopyToOutputDirectory> </None> While using Publish from within the IDE copies this file as it should, the aforementioned _CopyWebApplication target does not. I need this file to be copied in the build script. Is this desired behavior for _CopyWebApplication? Any recommendations on how to fix this?

• Accessing Instance Attributes from Secondary Thread (iPhone-SDK)

  I have a class with an NSDictionary attribute. Inside this class I dispatch another thread to handle NSXMLParser handling. Inside my -didStartElement, I access the dictionary in the class (to compare an element found in the XML to one in the dictionary). At this point I get undefined results. Using NSLog (I'm not advanced in XCode debugging), I see that it bombs around access of the NSDictionary. I tried just iterating the dictionary and dumping the key/values inside the didStartElement and this bombs at different keys each time. The only thing I can conclude is that something is not kosher that I'm doing with regards to accessing main thread attributes from the secondary thread. I'm somewhat new to multithreading and am not sure what the best protocol is safely access attributes from additional threads. Thanks all.

  Hello I'm building my first system using Twitters OAuth and have some issues. First, I'm using Abraham's Twitter-class for this and I have followed this tutorial. SimpleXMLElement Object ( [request] => /account/verify_credentials.xml [error] => Could not authenticate you. ) Is this problem by Twitter-class, or am I doing something wrong? How can I set an opacity for this view? Is it something that I can set on the java side, or can I set in the main.xml file? On the java side I tried Button01.mutate().SetAlpha(100), but it gave me an error. Thank you.

I have two groups, upbeat.nexus (private) and public.nexus (public). I've set up the associated repositories in Nexus already.   I'm in process of migrating a JSF 1.2 application to JSF 2.x. My application is using the following APIs: maven-jetty-plugin (version 6.1.10) maven-compiler-plugin (version 2.3.1) myfaces-api & -impl (version 1.2.7) jsf-facelets (version 1.1.14) richfaces (version 3.3.3) javax servlet jstl (version 1.2) javax servlet-api (version 2.5) and some other plugins as well. I updated the versions in faces-config.xml file and removed Facelets 1.1.14 libs and replaced MyFaces 1.2 by JSF 2.x libs, however the application didn't work. • Wix, Launch application after installation complete, with UAC turned on.

  Good day. I've been building an installer for our product using the WIX(Windows Installer XML) technology. The expected behavior is that the product is launched, if the check box is checked after installation. This has been working for some time now, but we found out recently that UAC of Win 7, and Vista is stopping the application from launching. I've done some research and it has been suggested to me that I should add the attributes Execute='deferred' and Impersonate='no'. Which I did, but then found out that to execute deferred, the CustomAction has to be performed, between the InstallInitialize, and IntallFinalize phases; which is not what I need. I need the product to launch AFTER install finalize, IF the launch checkbox is checked. Is there any other way to elevate permissions? Any and all answers, suggestions, or resonings will be appreciated. Cheers, Christopher Roy.

  Im writing a small wcf/wpf app to resize images but wcf is giving me grief when I try to send an image of size 28K to my service from the client. The service works fine when I send it smaller images. I immediately assumed that this was a configuration issue and I've trawled the web looking at posts regarding the MaxArrayLength property in my binding configuration. Ive upped the limits on these settings on both the client and server to the maximum 2147483647 but still I get the following error: {"The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://mywebsite.com/services/servicecontracts/2009/01:OriginalImage.   I am using logback/slf4j to handle logging in my application. Everything was working perfectly until I started using EJBs. Once I added a stateless EJB to my app, the logger started ignoring my logback.xml and stopped using my appenders. I switched to a programmatic logger configuration to see what was wrong and now I am getting the following error when I try to use my logger within the EJB: org.slf4j.impl.JDK14LoggerFactory cannot be cast to ch.qos.logback.classic.LoggerContext stemming from the line: LoggerContext lc = (LoggerContext) LoggerFactory.getILoggerFactory(); Is there any special configuration necessary to get logback to work with EJBs?   I would like to be able to close the editpreference dialog (as shown here http://twitpic.com/18ttdp) by pressing the 'Done' button on the keyboard. Currently, pressing 'Done' just dismisses the keyboard but leaves the dialog.   Are "Visual Studio Setup" Projects suitable for complex setups in different versions? The application is rather large ( 500.000 lines of code) and is under continuous development. Every 6 to 10 month a new version gets released. We have multiple configuration files (INI and XML), registry keys, database migration scripts, etc. The application is in the progress of being migrated from VB6 to .NET . The old installer was build with Installshield. The feedback to Installshield is: Bad adaptability, bad reuse - thats way we are evaluating "Visual Studio Setup" as an alternative. Other products we consider: Free Solutions WiX NSIS Commercial Solutions Installshield (again..) Wise Advanced Installer sth. missing? Solutions we don't like to consider: Inno Setup (It just doesn't feel right)
