I want to use jQuery so that when I click the H3, the image, or the paragraph inside the LIE(which are all information about a certain site), it would fade out the entire UL, then grab info about that site from our database. I think this requires AJAX but I don't have much experience with it. I'm also confused on how to use jQuery to write the new HTML after the information is grabbed.

  • Jquery dependent dropdown doesn't work in IE

    I have a 3 dropdowns: countries, states, and cities. States and cities are dependent of the previous form and loaded via AJAX. In Firefox and Chrome everything is ok, but in IE (8 in my case) when I select a state, the cities dropdown isn't loaded. It is like IE don't detect the change. It is not a load problem, because I have tested with a simple alert box. Any help will be really appreciated.   • asp.net content page has problem with CascadingDropDown.

    I have asp.net content page with an update panel, asp.net controls with ajax extenders and it has asp.net button with event click. everything is working ok exept one case. I have 3 DropDownList with CascadingDropDown extenders. when I click the button without selecting anything from DropDownLists then click on the button the event click will work OK but if I select anything my page will respond when I click on the button.     I am trying to create a UserControl that is a composite control for entering Dates. It involves 2 drop down controls (one for month and one for day) and a text box for year. It also has a CustomValidation control that I would like the user of the UserControl to be able to set the ClientValidationFunction property and have it triggered whenever the value in any of the 3 date part controls changes. To hook up each of the 3 controls to the validation control, I use teh AJAX ValidatorHookupControlID method. Eclipse Preferences Android, I see a lot of "Target Name" like Android 1.1 - Android 2.1 However, in the book that I'm reading, I'm also supposed to see a "Target Name" called "Google APIs".     I am having a hard time figuring out how to do a "Please wait while file is uploading" message when the user submits the following form. So far the application works to specification with regards to checking files and uploading to the server. You will see some java script below, this is there to allow me to fake out the style of the file up load buttons so that it matches the rest of the site. I have tried to use the ASP.Net Ajax controls to do this however the updateprogress panel would not show up. In further reading it was explained that this has something to do with the Asynchronous transfer that the file upload control uses when you issue a PostedFile.SaveAs("filename") command. I also found a site that refereed to using an iframe to do the job. I'm not really sure if that's the best way to go about doing this or not so I'm asking you the professionals of stackoverflow for help to try and resolve this issue.
