    Hello, I've been experimenting with CSS3 and found something strange. Heres's the part of DIV style: border:#446429 solid 1px; border-radius:15px; -moz-border-radius:15px; -webkit-border-radius:15px; box-shadow:3px 0px 15px #000000 inset,0px 3px 15px #000000 inset; -moz-box-shadow:3px 0px 15px #000000 inset,0px 3px 15px #000000 inset; -webkit-box-shadow:3px 0px 15px #000000 inset,0px 3px 15px #000000 inset; Rendering in Opera and Firefox are same and perfect: But Chrome renders shadow outside the border: Is it supposed to be so or I missed something important?

  • After I've installed it, NUnit doesn't appear in VS2008

    Hello, I downloaded and installed NUnit successfuly (or so I was told by the installer). Now, when I start a project, I don't see NUnit in the 'Create UnitTest' prompt as one the choice I'm givven to. All I can see are (i) VS Unit Test and (ii) Mb Unit v3 as choices. In fact, I downloaded today the MbB Unit. After, installing it, I was able to see it right away in the prompt. What happen to the NUnit? Althought, I can see it when I do Start - All Programs Or maybe NUnit dosn't need to appear in the prompt as choice since it has its own GUI. Thanks for helping

  • Use SendMessage in C# to perform a CTRL-C operation on a given handle

    Hello everyone, I'm trying to perform a (CTRL-C) copy on a window. I've already managed to do this using SendInput but unfortunately that could fail if the window doesn't have focus. I'm trying to perform the same (CTRL-C) operation using SendMessage in C#. So far I haven't been successful in getting the WPARAM and LPARAM combination for this to work. I have also tried using SendMessage with the WM_COPY message but that didn't work for my needs. Please if anyone has done this before successfully using SendMessage I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Hello, i own a web server running windows (WAMP). I want to know the best way to implement a Rest API (a very simple one) in order to let a user do something. Diagram flow: I have programming skills, in fact, i developed some time ago a web server in VB6 who process the querys and when it find the command (http:/serverIP/webform.php?cmd=run&item=any) it do something, but know i really want to develop a solution using the WAMP server. Some people consider the solution of executing a exe when a command is detected a bad solution for security issues, but this specific proyect i have is for the use of only some people (trusted people) who dont have intentions of hacking the server. So, what do you think? Remember: Its not a public API, its for some people and some programs who will use the API Its a very simple one, only one command using POST or GET. Thanks

  • creating my own context processor in django

    Hay, I have come to a point where i need to pass certain variables to all my views (mostly custom authentication type variables). I was told writing my own context processor was the best way to do this, but i am having some issues. My settings file looks like this TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS = ( "django.contrib.auth.context_processors.auth", "django.core.context_processors.debug", "django.core.context_processors.i18n", "django.core.context_processors.media", "django.contrib.messages.context_processors.messages", "sandbox.context_processors.say_hello", ) As you can see i have a module called 'context_processors' and a function within that called 'say_hello'. This looks like def say_hello(request): return { 'say_hello':"Hello", } Am i right to assume i can now do this within my views {{ say_hello }} because it doesn't return anything.

    Hello everyone, I am very new to the iPhone SDK. I need to know if in a tab bar application I need to make UIViewController classes. For example, when I make a new tab bar application there is a default FirstViewController class (.h, .m) already there. Now if I have code on the second tab, would I need to create a SecondViewController class? If not, how would I make a button on the 2nd tab, and make that button do something. I'm not really sure how to do it, because the FirstViewController works with the buttons and code, but if I make a SecondViewController, and I link everything my app crashes. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Kevin

  • Django date filter: how come the format used is different from the one in datetime library ???

For formatting a date using date filter you must use the following format : {{ my_date|date:"Y-m-d" }} If you use strftime from the standard datetime, you have to use the following : my_date.strftime("%Y-%m-%d") So my question is ... isn't it ugly (I guess it is because of the % that is used also for tags, and therefore is escaped or something) ? But that's not the main question ... I would like to use the same DATE_FORMAT parametrized in settings.py all over the project, but it therefore seems that I cannot ! Is there a work around (for example a filter that removes the % after the date has been formatted like {{ my_date|date|dream_filter }}, because if I just use DATE_FORMAT = "%Y-%m-%d" I got something like %2001-%6-%12)?

    Hello I have two histograms. int Hist1[10] = {1,4,3,5,2,5,4,6,3,2}; int Hist1[10] = {1,4,3,15,12,15,4,6,3,2}; Hist1's distribution is of type multi-modal; Hist2's distribution is of type uni-modal with single prominent peak. My questions are Is there any way that i could determine the type of distribution programmatically? How to quantify whether these two histograms are similar/dissimilar? Thanks

  • What are some of the practical cons to using ASMX webservices?

    Hello, at my workplace we are about to start a big project. My boss (a programmer, this is a startup) wishes to use ASMX webservices for this purpose. I do not want to start off a new program using deprecated technology and would like to show him this. I dislike WCF at this moment because it has such an extreme learning curve, but I'd rather learn it than use an unsupported technology. The problem I'm having is that I can not find any practical list of cons and downfalls when compared to WCF so that I can convince my boss to not use them. And saying "it's not as powerful" is not an adequate explanation. What exactly can it not do that we may need it to do for a webservice that is not meant to be shared externally? (as in, we don't support third-parties using our webservices unless they are using one of our clients. )

    Hello again, I was doing some reading and have even gotten a "master" SPI working on my microcontroller. Here is my question, basically if the master wants to initialize a write to the slave we write to the SSPBUF, how do we control what the slave responds with? The datasheet doesn't seem really clear to me the order of events in that case. I.E. Master puts a char into the SSPBUF, this initiates the SPI module to send data to the slave, during the shift, the slave returns a byte. In the slave side, is there something that tells you you have incoming data, and you can write to your SSPBUF first, THEN accept the data? OR Do you have to write to the SSPBUF the first "return value" you want sent back before the master can have an opportunity to initiate a transfer?

I have compiled it from svn source on Mac & I have ensured that it is working properly by running it in Mac terminal. Once it's completed, they'll see all the output from the application which includes progress details. Not very useful. Therefore I'm trying to find a sample that shows the best way to: Start an external application (hidden) Monitor its output periodically as it displays information about it's progress (so I can extract this and present a nice percentage bar to the user) Determine when the external application has finished (so I can't continue with my own applications execution) Kill the external application if necessary and detect when this has happened (so that if the user hits "cancel", I get take the appropriate steps) Does anyone have any recommended code snippets?

My requirement is like I want to pass post codes to maps.google.com and it should return a related latitude and longitude of that pointed location, that I want to store in my database.     Hello everybody, We are developing an ASP.NET MVC Application that currently uses it's own databse ApplicationData for the domain models and another one Membership for the user management / membership provider. We do access restrictions using data-annotations in our controllers. [Authorize(Roles = "administrators, managers")] This worked great for simple use cases. As we are scaling our application our customer wants to restrict specific users to access specific areas of our ApplicationData database. Each of our products contains a foreign key referring to the region the product was assembled in. A user story would be: Users in the role NewYorkManagers should only be able to edit / see products that are assembled in New York. We created a placeholder table UserRightsRegions that contains the UserId and the RegionId. How can I link both the ApplicationData and the Membership databases in order to work properly / having cross-database-key-references? (Is something like this even possible?) All help is more than appreciated!

  • problem with dmg file

    Hello, I have created a dmg file named try.dmg which contains an executable application myapplication.app together with a compiled library mylibrary.lib; I used Disk Utility in order to create the try.dmg file. I mounted the try.dmg file on my computer and I opened the application myapplication.app with no problems. Still, I tried to do the same thing on another Macintosh, with the same operating system Mac OS X, but I got some problems: I mounted the try.dmg file and then when I tried to open the application myapplication.app I got an error message, that the application has quit unexpectedly. Can someone explain me what is it happening? How come this try.dmg file can be mounted and the application can be opened with no problems on my computer with Mac OS X, but on another computer with Mac OS X, after I mount the try.dmg file I get errors when I try opening the application? However, when I try using following function, new view is not loaded (function is called, I get output from NSLog): - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSLog(@"asf"); [self.navigationController pushViewController:sendRequestFavoriteController animated:YES]; } What might be a problem? I get no compilation or debugging errors/warnings. Maybe UITabBar's navigation controller?
