  • Jquery / PhP / Joomla Select one of two comboboxes does not get updated

    I am making a Joomla component wich has 3 comboboxes/selects on the page. One with languages and 2 with subjects. If you change the language the other two get filled with the same data (the subjects in the selected language) the name of the selectbox are different but otherwise the same. I get an error for one of the subject boxes (hence the url gets red), but there is no logic in wich one will give an error. In Firebug i get the HTML back for the one without the other and this one gets updated but the other one gives nothing back. If i right click in firebug on the one that gave the error, and do "send again" it will load fine. Is their a timing problem? I use a function for this that is okay because it makes al my selectboxes. The only place where there are problems with select boxes is on the pages that has 2 selects that need to change when a third one changed. My guess it is somewhere in the Jquery where this goes wrong. And i think it has to do with timing. But i am open for all sugestions. Thanx. UPDATE: No the ID and Name fields are different. It all works fine if there is just one combobox thats needs updating. It give a problem when there are two. Thanks for the help !

    I'm confused how CookieContainer handles domain, so I create this test. This test shows cookieContainer doesn't return any cookie for "site.com" but according to RFC it should return at least 2 cookies. Isn't it a bug? How make it to work?   • How to force a page refresh or reload in jQuery?

    The code below displays a google map and search results when you enter an address and hit the submit button. I've been playing with it to try and force the page to completely refresh or reload once you hit the submit button. But I can't get it to work right. It loads the results "in page," but I'd like the page to completely refresh when the results load, like when you hit the back button on your browser. Hope that makes sense. I think the answer lies in this line of code but I don't know jquery very well.   • Rotating images makes ui slow

    i'm trying to implement kind of speedometer. i'm getting informations about rounds per minute, boost and load of an engine over bluetooth and i try to display them on the screen witch 3 arrows witch should point in the right direktion. i tried to use a rotate animation evry time i get data(10-100ms) to setup the arrows. but that makes my ui extremly slow. 500ms to react on a buttonclick.   • .htaccess not working (mod_rewrite)

    Edit: I am pretty sure my .htaccess file is NOT being executed, and the problem is NOT with my rewrite rules. I have not having any luck getting my .htaccess with mod_rewrite working. Basically all I am trying to do is remove 'www' from "http://www.site.com" and "https://www.site.com". If there is anything I am missing (conf files, etc let me know I willl update this) I jsut can't see whats wrong here...   • JBOSS 7.1 started hanging after 6 months of deployment

    My application is been live from 6 months. The application is host on jboss 7.1 server. From last few days I am finding numerous problem of hanging of jboss server. Though I restart the jboss server again, it does not invoke. I need to restart the server machine itself. Can anyone please let me know what could be the cause of these problems and the workable resolutions or any suggestion ? Kindly dont degrade the question as I am facing a lot problems due to this hanging issue. Also for the information, the application is based on Java, GWT, Hibernate 3.   • Spring boot JAR as windows service

    I am trying to wrap a spring boot "uber JAR" with procrun. Running the following works as expected: java -jar my.jar I need my spring boot jar to automatically start on windows boot. The nicest solution for this would be to run the jar as a service (same as a standalone tomcat). When I try to run this I am getting "Commons Daemon procrun failed with exit value: 3" Looking at the spring-boot source it looks as if it uses a custom classloader: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/blob/master/spring-boot-tools/spring-boot-loader/src/main/java/org/springframework/boot/loader/JarLauncher.java I also get a "ClassNotFoundException" when trying to run my main method directly. java -cp my.jar my.MainClass Is there a method I can use to run my main method in a spring boot jar (not via JarLauncher)? Has anyone successfully integrated spring-boot with procrun? I am aware of http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com/. However due to their licence I can't use it.     I'm using Cruise Control .NET as my build server (Windows 2008 Server). Yesterday I upgraded my ASP.NET MVC project from VS 2008/.NET 3.5 to VS 2010/.NET 4.0. The only change I made to my ccnet.config's MSBuild task was the location of MSBuild.exe. Ever since I made that change, the build has been broken with the error: MSB4019 - The imported project "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0\WebApplications\Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" was not found. Confirm that the path in the declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk. This file does, in fact, exist in the location specified (I solved a problem similar to this when setting up the build server for VS2008/.NET 3.5 by copying the files from my dev environment to my build environment). So I RDP'ed into the build machine and opened a command prompt, used MSBUILD to attempt to build my project. MSBUILD returns the error: MSB3021 - Unable to copy file "obj\debug....dll". Access to the path 'bin....dll' is denied. Since I'm running MSBUILD from the command prompt, logged in with an account that has administrative privileges, I'm assuming that MSBUILD is running with the same privileges that I have. Next, I tried to copy the file that MSBUILD was attempting to copy. In this case, I get the UAC dialog that makes me click the [Continue] button to complete the copy. I'd like to avoid installing Visual Studio 2010 on my build machine, can anyone suggest other fixes I might try?

    During the start of my windows application, I have to make a call to a web service to retrieve some default data to load onto my application. During the load of the form, I run a backgroundworker to retrieve this data. I want to display the wait cursor until this data is retrieved. How would I do this? I've tried setting the wait cursor before calling the backgroundworker to run. When I report a progress of 100 then I set it back to the default cursor.     I've just set up my first Android development environment consisting of Eclipse 3.5 Mac OSX 10.5 Android SDK for x86 macs ADT Eclipse plugin 0.9.6 I've set set $PATH to my SDK/tools directory (which shouldn't matter if I only use Eclipse right?) and started Eclipse, but when I try to set the path to the SDK in Eclipse, i get the error "parseSdkContent failed".     Hello, I was expecting the below scenario common, but couldn't find much help online. I have a form loaded through Ajax (say, create entity form). It is loaded through a button click (load) event $("#bt-create").click(function(){ $ ('#pid').load('/controller/vehicleModel/create3'); return false; }); the response (a form) is written in to the pid element. The name and id of the form is ajax-form, and the submit event is attached to an ajax post request $(function() { $("#ajax-form").submit(function(){ // do something... var url = "/app/controller/save" $.post(url, $(this).serialize(), function(data) { alert( data ) ; /// alert data from server }); I could make the above ajax operations individually. That is the ajax post operation succeeds if it calls from a static html file. But if I chain the requests (after completing the first), so that it calls from the output form generated by the first request, nothing happens. I could see the post method is called through firebug. Is there a better way to handle above flow? One more interesting thing I noticed. As you could see, I use grails as my platform. If I keep the javascripts in the main.gsp (master layout), the submit event would not register as the breakpoint is not hit in firebug. But, if I define the javascript in the template file (which renders the form above), the breakpoint is hit, but as I explained, the action is not called at the controller. I changes the javascript to the head section but same result. any help greatly appreciated. thanks, Babu.

This seems to completely defeat the purpose of such a function. They can only be compiled and run on iPhone OS 3.2 (iPhone OS 3.2 can only be run on iPad). So if you can use UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM(), the result will always be to indicate an iPad. If you include this code and target OS 3.1.3 (the most recent iPhone/iPod Touch OS) in order to test your iPhone-bound universal app code, you will get compiler errors since the symbols are not defined in 3.1.3 or earlier. If this is the recommended-by-Apple approach to runtime device-detection, what am I doing wrong? Has anyone succeeded using this approach to device-detection?

  • Application pool crashing regularly (8007006d) (Service Unavailable)

    I have a basic web form site running. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is frequently crashing the application pool. The error code I got from the logs is '8007006d'. Googling this does not come up with the usual bevy of results.... I do get a few people with a similar problem. Any the advise seems to be that the error is related to registry permissions. Can anyone confirm / disconfirm this theory. That if I get error 8007006d it is definately a reg permissions problem? Here is the code from my page.   • Why do I get a DependencyProperty.UnsetValue when converting a value in a MultiBinding?

    I have an extremely simple IMultiValueConverter that simply OR's two values. In the example below, I want to invert the first value using an equally simple boolean inverter. <MultiBinding Converter="{StaticResource multiBoolToVis}"> <Binding Path="ConditionA" Converter="{StaticResource boolInverter}"/> <Binding Path="ConditionB"/> </MultiBinding> public class BoolInverterConverter : IValueConverter { #region IValueConverter Members public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) { if (value is bool) { return !((bool)value); } return null; } public object ConvertBack(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } #endregion } When I include the boolInverter, the first value in the MultiValueConverter becomes a "DependencyProperty.UnsetValue". There are no problems when I do not use the converter (other than not the logic I am aiming for, of course). Am I missing something? Stepping through the debugger shows that the InverseBoolConverter is properly inverting the value I pass it, but that value is then not being 'sent' to the MultiValueConverter.

    Hi, I am trying to send method invocations from JavaScript to Objective-C and vice versa. Everything works fine for window.location triggered urls, which are catched by shouldStartLoadWithRequest. Now if I try to use an AJAX call instead, shouldStartLoadWithRequest is not called. Is there a way to do this? Mainly I do not want to be restricted to the max URL size on data that can be passed from JavaScript to Objective-C.
