• How can I stop the kde-telepathy UI from appearing under Unity when I use the messaging menu?

  KDE Telepathy keeps getting in the way every time I try to use Empathy from the messaging menu. If I get a message, it opens in the KDE telepathy UI instead of in Empathy. This is rather frustrating as it causes a delay before it opens, and is not integrated with Empathy. How can I stop this from happening? This still happens in 12.10 and I've had to remove the kde-telepathy packages. Is there a solution?

  Hi guys, i'm with one strange problem. I am extending a control from a Gridview, and adding a dropdown to paging to the page i want. In my custom gridview i added a ITemplate than contains 4 image buttons and one dropdownlist (4 images - 1st, prev, next, last) (1 ddl - to page) and add him to my custom gridview..   I currently have a website source code (no control over the source) which contains certain content that needs to be manipulated. This would be simple on the surface, however there is no unique ID attribute on the tag in question that can uniquely identify it, and therefore allow for further traversal. Here is a snippet of the source code, surrounding the tag in question. ... <td width="100%"> <!--This table snaps the content columns(one or two)--> <table border="0" width="100%"> ... Essentially, the HTML comment stuck out as an easy way to gain access to that element. Using the JQuery comment add-on from this question, and some help from snowlord comment below, I have been able to identify the comment and retrieve the following output using the 'dump' extension. $('td').comments().filter(":contains('This table snaps the content columns(one or two)')").dump(); returns; jQuery Object { 0 = DOMElement [ nodeName: DIV nodeValue: null innerHTML: [ 0 = String: This table snaps the content columns(one or two) ] ] } However I am not sure how to traverse to the sibling element in the DOM.   I'm using tablesorter in on a table I added to a view in django's admin (although I'm not sure this is relevant).   Hi all, When I was doing some self-learning on JQuery Ajax in Cakephp, I found out some strange behaviour in the JQuery Alert Box.   Is there anyway to have javascript run when a XSL sheet has been applied to an XML file by Javascript? I am using a JQuery plugin to apply the sheet to the xml but the javascript that is located inside of the XSL file will not run. I put the Javascript at the bottom of the file and it still does not run.. I can't seem to get an alert to even run?

• Dynamic Colorbox galleries using Ajax

  Hi, I am new to jQuery / AJAX. I have a page that uses colorbox to display photo galleries. The page displays only one image from each gallery. When clicked, a colorbox opens up with all of the photos from that gallery. These inner photo references (for all photos from all galleries) are hidden on the page in an invisible div. The page is a PHP generated page. The galleries/photos are being populated via Picasa. All of the above works fine, but instead of loading all of the images from all galleries on page load (via PHP), I'd like to load only the requested gallery into the colorbox via AJAX. So far, I have a test page which can insert the proper links into a div on the page, but the Colorbox won't pick up on these links. This is where I need help. How can I get Colorbox to recognize the links generated by my AJAX call? • Why is IE8 rendering superfish menu wrong?

  I am useing the superfish jquery plugin If you view the superfish menu here: clicky the drop-downs show correctly (above the main content) in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE6, IE7 But for some reason they fall behind the main content in IE8. I already set the z-index for the superfish menu which IE7 wasnt working right until I did so, but it didn't fix IE8. Am I missing something?

• Uploadify Hanging at random on 100%

The problem I am having is that every now and then (at what appears to be random) when the progress bar reaches 100% it 'hangs' and does nothing. I was wondering if any developers familiar with uploadify may have any idea how to solve this? I am in desperate need of some help. • Cufon text z-index (IE6 and IE7 stylish select box bug)

  Hello, I'm replacing some text with cufon on my page and I'm using jquery stylish select box plugin (http://www.scottdarby.com/plugins/stylish-select/0.4/) to style select boxes. The problem is that, in IE6 and IE7, select box goes under the cufonized text. (the select box is actually an <ul>). Anyone had this issue before? Thanks, Adrian

• How do I take input/output from a form and store it in a JS variable?

For testing purposes, I want my forms to be able to work, so I want to take the input they have received and store it in javascript variables so I can access them, using jQuery. Everything I have looked at, tells me how to pass js variables into the form, not the other way around. Any ideas? Thanks.

  Hi, I've been testing this upload script and it looks really good, but i just can't get it to post values, that i have extracted from inputs. Everything is looking good and it seems I'm writing everything correctly but it just stops SWF DEBUG: Event: uploadStart : File ID: SWFUpload_0_0, there's my piece of code which causes these troubles .bind('uploadStart', function(event, file){ $(this).addPostParam( "title", "asd"); }) I'm using it as jquery plugin, maybe that's the problem?
