  • How can I recover my Transcend pendrive when both the used space and free space are 0 bytes?

    I have an Transcend pendrive, and when I connect it and double click it to explore, it is showing the error: Please insert a disk into drive Also In the properties field it is showing File system- Unknown Used space- 0 bytes free space- 0 bytes capacity- 0 bytes I tried to format it using using the command prompt but it is not showing in the list disk command. It is also not showing in the Disk Management.

    We have a production database and visual studio 2010 database project. We had to make some changes in database schema. Unfortunately we don't have previous database schema file for production database. Is there a way to export existing database schema as *.dbschema file, preferably from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (2008 R2)? This way we could run schema comparison and generate update script.

  • Windows Server 2008 and port 80

    Hi experts, I'm having an issue with my Windows Server 2008. I can successfuly connect to it with FTP(port 21), remote desktop(whatever the port number is), https but not with simple http or port 80, from the outside of my LAN. Is there some settings I don't know about regarding this special port on the firewall or on IIS7? For your information, I can connect to port 80 as long as I'm on the same LAN, but as soon as the request come from the outside, I get nothing... Please help Thank you

  • I accidentally made my new hard drive (the non system drive) my primary partition

    Hi all, When installing a new hard drive, I accidentally formatted it using 'Disk Management' and set it up as my primary active partition, even though it isn't the system drive. Then, when I restarted my machine, Windows wouldn't boot, citing a missing or corrupt SYSTEM folder. Can anyone help me re-enable the system hard drive as my primary active partition? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have two Windows VPS's that talk to each other. 1) I already firewall Remote Desktop to a few IPs. I want to require me to connect instead to the server via VPN (IPSec?) in order to then be able to RD. 2) I want to also only permit access to port 80 on the server if I am VPN'd in to the server (authenticated) 3) If possible, I want to secure communication between other VPS's I have using the same method?   • SQL Server Logs: missing date ranges

    I need to be able to export SQL Server logs into CSV files, which I can easily do with the export function. However in doing so I've noticed there's a range of dates missing from the SQL Server logs in Management Studio, two months actually. I'm wondering where these logs might be found, and if it's possible to reload them so I can view and then export them. They're strictly for informational purposes, but I do need them. The question is how do I bring up all the Apps in farm via TCP/IP. The Citrix online plugin does not allow the same access as Program Neighborhood did to farms. Please help.

    Hi, I hope this is right place for this. I am currently running Joomla v1 with a file management component called Docman on a Bluehost server. Some users (particularly with slower download speeds) are experiencing partial file downloads with some of my larger files (~100MB). I would like to keep the Joomla + Docman installation.     I need help with the following scenario Main network ASA 5510 (one inside 192.168.10.1 connection and one outside connection). This ASA 5510 connect to switch 3570 with 3 VLANS configured (192.168.10.0, 10.10.11.0, 10.10.12.0). On the remote site I have ASA5505 ( 10.10.13.0) connected to this ASA5510 through EZVPN, but all it can see is the 192.168.10.0 subnet. What do I need to do to get the subnet 10.10.13.0 to see all 3 internal subnets.

    Apparently, on my notebook, I have suddenly lost any ability to use network connections, involving SSL and/or data encryption, provided my MS: 1) remote desktop connections: Because of an error in data encryption, this session will end 2) browse HTTPS sites: Can't browse HTTPS pages. TLS error 3) communicate over WiFi, while wired is ok Is there any possible one central reason for all of these problems in Windows? Third party applications, like Putty, works fine. Is it possible to reset/repair certificate store or something in Windows?

    I have a NFS Server: usanfsd01 And a remote machine: usafssd01 I tried mounting a directory from usafssd01 onto usanfsd01 by adding the following line to /etc/fstab as root usanfsdo1:/home/dblogs /home/data/dblogs nfs rw 0 0 And when I run the following command to see if NFS is exporting the share, it's not shown showmount -e usanfsdo1 Can someone please help? Also, a point of interest would be there is another mount that works on the same servers and thats defined as below in the /etc/fstab usanfsdo1:/home/files /home/data/files nfs rw 0 0 /etc/exports /nfs/home/dblogs 'IPADDRESS'(rw,no_root_squash)

  • Windows 7: The audio service is not running?

    Why isn't my audio service running? It's so random. Sometimes I am able to change my PC volumn, other times I am not. I've restarted the following services: Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Multimedia Class Scheduler Windows Audio Endpoint Builder I think I started noticing this after I went mucking around in msconfig looking for ways to improve PC performance. I know I shut off some services, but that was over 6 months ago today and I am finally getting tired of it happening.

    I just installed Postfix. i have not yet done any configuration on it. Each time I try to use it to sendmail from another application, it keeps telling me that COnnection was refused from the ip I want to connect to.   • 20GB+ worth of emails in my /home what is a better solution for that?

    My email storage requirements are outgrowing anything reasonable with respect to local mail storage. As we speak 99% of my home partition is filled with personal mail in Thunderbirds mail dirs. Needless to say, this is just painful, badly searchable and as history has proven me that backups work, but Thunderbird is capable of loosing a lot of mail very easily. Currently I have an remote IMAPS server (Dovecot) running for my daily mail, accessible from anywhere, which from my own practice works efficiently up to about 1000 emails. Then some archive directories should be used to move mail around. I have been looking into DBMail, but I wonder if I make my case worse or better which such solution. None of the supported database employ string deduplication or string compression out of the box, so is this going to help me with 20GB+ mail? What about falling back to a plain old IMAP server? A filesystem like ZFS would support stuff like GZIP transparently, which could help. Could someone share their thoughts? The 20GB mostly consists of mailinglists, and normal mail. Not things like attachments. To add some clarifications; As we speak, my mail is not server side indexed at all - only my new mail arrives at a remote IMAP server. It is all local storage from former POP3 accounts, local mirrored Gmail and IMAP accounts. In my perspective it is not Thunderbird that sucks, its fileformat that sucks. Regarding the 1000 mails. On the road I am using Alpine and MobileMail, quite happy with both of them, but some management is required to actually manage the mail. Sieve helps a lot with that, but browing through 10.000 e-mails is not fun, especially not on a mobile client. I am quite happy with Dovecot, never had any issues with it. I just wonder if this is the way to go. Or if there are any other better solutions. What my question is: what is the best practice solution that allows 20GB+ mails and is -on demand remotely accessible, easy to backup and archive worthy. It doesn't need to be available 24x7. The final approach I took was installing a local IMAP server (Dovecot), configured it for being my archive, using the following guide: http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Dovecot/InstallThunderbird
