  • Transparency issue with background image to GtkEventBox.

    I am setting GtkEventBox with an Transparent image from gtkrc file using pixmpa engine. but issue is that in transparent are of the png image gtk is filling default window back ground color. I wan to tell gtk to fill it's parents base/bg/fg color in transparent are of the background image other than default background color. how to do it using gtkrc file or coding? Thanks, PP.

  • How to Enable Full-Text Index on Sql Server 2008 Table

    Not sure what's happening with this, but here's my question. I have a Sql Server 2008 database that I need to be able to do full-text indexing/searching but when I try to setup my indices on the table, I get the following: I've tried running this stored procedure on my database and it's successful: EXEC sp_fulltext_database @action = 'enable' But I still get the above window and my full-text searches don't return any results when they should. What am I missing?

  • Google Maps rendering locally but not in live environment

    I have a page that renders a simple google map for a specified location. This map renders without any problems at all when I run it locally on localhost, however, when I deploy this code to our live web servers (using our LIVE google API key for the appropriate domain) it fails to render, and upon putting a series of alerts within the javascript on the page, it appears that the 'Initialize' method (which should be called within body onLoad) is not being called. When I view the HTML source that is rendered on the live server it appears exactly as per the local version of the site (including the call to initialize() within the body onLoad event), albeit with the different maps API key. I have output the host (alert(window.location.host);) to ensure that the key I generated via the google maps api site, corresponds exactly to the live server, which it does. Does anyone have any ideas why it would be working locally but not when deployed to the live servers? The live site is hosted on 2 load-balanced web servers.     The MFC program I am debugging is printing this message in the "Output" window in Visual Studio 9.0: HEAP[AppName.exe]: Invalid allocation size - 99999998 (exceeded 7ffdefff) I'm pretty sure this is due to a bad "new", uninitialized variable or similar error. The question is: how do I get the debugger to stop on this message so that I can view the stack trace and solve the problem?

  • Proper HTML technique to create an web form out of an image

    I plan to create an interactive golf score card for my website (XHTML). (Btw. thats how such a scorecard looks like: ScoreCard). So at the end one should be able to insert a score for each hole in the appropriated input field in the virtual scorecard on the website. For me it is very important that the interactive scorecard really looks the same as the original (paper-) scorecard does and so my first approach was to scan and slice the scorecard image to reach that appearance. Here you can see the way I sliced the image: The idea was to insert HTML text input for each score field ending up with something like this: After I sliced the image I reconstructed it using the HTML . To do that I put the image slices as the cell background. <table> <tr> <td style="background: url("slice1.jpg") width="58px" height="25px"> <input type="text"></inputText> </td> </tr> ... </table> At the first moment this worked fine (as Gimp offers quite a nice feature for this). Then the problem was that I had to create a HTML table to create the exact layout. As you can see the lower part of the layout is split up into 3 columns. The middle column is split up into several (for each hole) rows. So the left and right column have to be spanned over those rows. Ok finally that worked, but it lead to some kind of scaling problem. If I zoom in or out on the table the middle column (and only that one) is not scaled the right way. Iam not able to fix this, and so I start doubting if this is the right technique for html image virtualization. Iam really no specialist in the area of creating websites, so I would really appriciate any help on this. Maybe there is a complete other and better technique to do that, as I think it is a common job in webcreation. I couldnt find any nice examples or tuts on that.

    I have a bunch of images that are guaranteed to have: minimum width = 200px maximum width = 250px minimum height = 150px maximum height = 175px What I want to do is display a consist 200px by 150px rectangle of the image while maintaining scale (no stretching or shrinking). Which means, I might have some overflow. How can I display the image so that it keeps porpotions to the original image size, yet displayed inside a 200x150 px window and hiding any overflow?

    I'm writing a custom TreeView from ScrollableControl. I decided to show tooltips when mouse is hover nodes with text too long to display. I find out when tooltips are shown, user would not be able to click the node to select it, because (I think) he's clicking the tooltip window, not my control. Is there any easy solutions? As I can see System.Windows.Forms.TreeView don't have this problem. Thanks!

    How can I accomplish the following: When my app loads a UIView will show 4 buttons Clicking on a button will load a UITabBarController (not a UIView with a UITabBar) that can display multiple views. This seems challenging to me, because in order for me to use the UITabBarController I need to add this to the window's subview in my appDelegate. By doing so, my app automatically will load with the UITabbarController in the root view.
