  Evaluating a third party data processing tool, I have bumped into a case where some WinZip files cause an exception: Caused by: gnu.java.util.zip.ZipException: Unknown compression method 98 at gnu.java.util.zip.ZipFile.getInputStream(ZipFile.java:470) I have seen this with files created with WinZip 11.2 and newer. What's the latest version of WinZip (or compatible compression method) that the zip.dll can handle? I've been hunting for some reference on this, but other than unversioned source code, I have had little luck so far.

  After I get 3 rows in my forum_threads table this no longer does it's job; to organize a list of active forum threads and put the most recently responded-to thread at the top of the list, followed by second most recent posted-to thread, followed by third, fourth, etc. Like I said, the query works wonders up until there is a fourth row added to forum_threads.   Hye Guys, I'm busy working on a time series and am trying to find the commands that allow me to insert a quarter count variable. To keep things simple, the third quarter of 1995 (date my observations start) should be quarter -2, the fourth quarter of 1995 should be -1 etc etc uptill 2006 (should be somewhere around 45 by then). • Enumerator problem, Any way to avoid two loops?

  I have a third party api, which has a class that returns an enumerator for different items in the class. I need to remove an item in that enumerator, so I cannot use "for each". Only option I can think of is to get the count by iterating over the enum and then run a normal for loop to remove the items. Anyone know of a way to avoid the two loops? Thanks

  I have a third party tool that creates an img tag through code using HtmlTextWriter's RenderBeginTag, RenderEndTag & AddAttribute methods. I want to get the resulting HTML into a string. I tried the reflection method mentioned here but I get a error "Unable to cast object of type 'System.Web.HttpWriter' to type 'System.IO.StringWriter". The InnerWriter type of the HtmlTextWriter is of type HttpWriter. Any ideas on how to copy the output html into a string?

There's several libraries that can do that, and also a page with open-source code in asp (http://www.coveryourasp.com/ValidateEmail.asp#Result3), but I have hard time reading classic asp, and it seams that it uses some third-party library...   As the title says, I'm trying to use a class declared in a namespace which contains "base" in its name. Think of a situation like the following: open Foo.base.Bar In C# I'd just use @ before base but F# seems to ignore that and to think that @ is the infix operator used for list concatenation. Since the namespace belongs to a third-party library which I cannot modify, is there a way I can still access it from F#?

  I need to take a url, "/ServiceSearch/r.php?n=blahblah", and have it go to "/search/blahblah/" so that it appears in the browser as "/search/blahblah", but I actually want it to REALLY be going to "r.php?n=ServiceSearch&n=blahblah".. So I was thinking I'll need to rewrite the first URL to "/ServiceSearch/r.php?n=blahblah" and then the second url, "/search/blahblah/", to the third, "r.php?n=ServiceSearch&n=blahblah". Well, I know this is wrong, but it's my best guess. I'm really struggling with it.

I am aware that there are some third party softwares available, that would give me the list of the users online but i don't want to do that. Does anyone know how this can be achieved in asp.net?
