• Renaming CSS classes across HTML files

  If I have 100 HTML files that use a set of CSS classes, is there a utility that I can use to intelligently rename the classes? I know that every editor/IDE has a find/replace in project feature. Using sed you can do the same thing. This is not intelligent because it is a simple string replace. I want to know of a tool that actually understands what a CSS class is and how to replace instances of it. I suppose a fancy regular expression can do the same thing.

  For some reason I have a very ugly orange part of a border around a image. Can anyone see why this is? This is the HTML <div class="preview"> <a href="images/foto/full/280899624_6_5_j6.jpeg" title="Sportschool Raymond Snel" rel="lightbox"><img src="images/foto/full/280899624_6_5_j6.jpeg" alt="text" /></a> </div> This is the css .preview { width: 85px; height: 85px; overflow: hidden; border: 3px solid #2e2a26; } The color code = FF6a00 but appears only one time in the css file. a { color: #ff6a00; text-decoration: none; border: 0px; } As you can see I already gave it a 0px, but for some reason the border is still there.

  Hi All, I am fairly new to PHP but not programming in general. I was hoping I could get some suggestions on the best type of PHP framework to start with considering my basic experience with PHP. I have a .NET and ASP.NET background and I am familiar with the MVC design pattern. I would prefer to start with a framework that makes logical design easier but does not generate all the code for you. I have read some like the Zend framework for this. Opinions?

• CSS button not styling

  Hey, I must be missing something obvious, but can someone explain what I'm doing wrong with my CSS? I would like all buttons to have a certain format, except a few. I was expecting to use CssClass in order to override the few that should be different, but they all seem to use the standard one. My CSS: .btn { border:none; background-color:red; } input[type="submit"] { border: 2px solid black; background-color:green; } All the buttons take the second value (green background, with a border). However, I have this button: <asp:Button ID="btnAdd" CssClass="btn" runat="server" Text="Add" /> I was expecting this to have no border, and a red background, but it's the same as every other button. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

  Hi Guys My Company is running a lots of batch jobs to process data for partners. We used to use sql server agent to execute batch process. I found it's very difficult to get batch process information like log or status when i working on sql server's agent. So I'd like to change my company's job scheduling process to another stable solution But I dind't know which solutions to choose. I tried to find as same solution as CA Autosys. My Company use window server system. We shoud consider framework or solution should be configured using solution's api because i plan to make a asp.net web application to manage our job shceduler. But I am not sure Quartz.NET is as good as orginal java version.

  I am trying to figure out if there is a way to apply the CSS methodology to the LaTeX template I am building. What I would like to do is to have a set of classes that apply a specific style treatment to the bracketed words. For example: If I have three paragraphs of text, I want to have all of the paragraphs have [0.5cm] of spacing after the last line without having to add \\[0.5cm] after each paragraph. Is there a LaTeX equivalent of defining the treatment for all paragraphs in the preamble so that it cascades throughout my document? The equivalent of: <style> p {padding-bottom:0.5cm} </style> I want to be able to specify multiple version of these CSS-like LaTeX classes throughout my document, so I don't need a specific solution. I need help understanding how to add custom labels/names/classes to the preamble and an example of how to use them in the document itself. Thanks! Ryan

  I have been trying to make this shape in CSS. Ideally it will span the entire length of the browser window and probably extend outside the field of view to support larger screens and also be centered so that the angle does not change. Anyone have any solutions? Also I think I might run into a problem of the angle aliasing harshly. I might need to resort to using an image. Would like to use CSS though. ** Image Spelling Error.   Now that .NET v3.5 SP1 has been released (along with VS2008 SP1), we now have access to the .NET entity framework. My question is this. When trying to decide between using the Entity Framework and LINQ to SQL as an ORM, what's the difference? The way I understand it, the Entity Framework (when used with LINQ to Entities) is a 'big brother' to LINQ to SQL? If this is the case - what advantages does it have? What can it do that LINQ to SQL can't do on its own?

• CSS Expand Parent Div To Child Height

  I have a page structure similar to this: <body> <div id="parent"> <div id="childRightCol"> <div> <div id="childLeftCol"> <div> </div> </body> I would like for the parent div to expand in height when the inner div height expands. Edit: One caveat is that if/when the width of the child content expands past the width of the browser window, my current CSS puts a horizontal scroll on the parent div. I would like the scrollbar to be at the page level. (Currently my parent div is set to overflow: auto;) Can you please help me with the CSS for this?

• Editing and iPhone SDK Framework ?

  I am working with MapKit and want to be able to add a (NSString *)itemTag value to each of my annotations. I have created myAnnotiation.m and myAnnotation.h I tried adding itemTag to the myAnnotation.h/m but when I try to access currentAnnotation.itemTag within my main code, it says "itemID not found in protocols" - so I went to the MapKit.Framework and into MKAnnotation.h. I added (NSString *)itemID, but when I save the .h file in the Framework, it changes the file's icon and doesn't appear to by jiving with everything else. Any help or links to help would be greatly appreciated. I am not even sure if I'm on the right path here, but Googling "modify iphone sdk framework" does not turn up much.

While generating code for the SQL Server 2008 I came to the point where I want to define some default values for some fields. how to define in the designer for a Created DateTime Field the DateTime.Now default value? - Error 54: Default value (DateTime.Now) is not valid for DateTime. The value must be in the form 'yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.fffZ' how to make for code generation a string Field unique. Like E-Mail or Username can exists only once in the table. I've search alot in the internet and also checked my books Pro Entity Framework 4.0 and Programming Entity Framework. But none of them seems to come up with the default value issue, or using sql commands as default values for database generation. Another thing is, how to prevent on database generation always from droping tables? Instead i want to append non existing fields and keep the data. Thanks for any suggestions.

  I'm having a look at Entity Framework and everything I'm reading takes a data centric approach to explaining EF. By that I mean that the fundamental relationships of the system are first defined in the database and objects are generated that reflect those relationships. Examples Quickstart (Entity Framework) Using Entity Framework entities as business objects? The EF documentation implies that it's not necessary to start from the database layer, e.g. Developers can work with a consistent application object model that can be mapped to various storage schemas When designing a new system (simplified version), I tend to first create a class model, then generate business objects from the model, code business layer stuff that can't be generated, and then worry about persistence (or rather work with a DBA and let him worry about the most efficient persistence strategy). That object centric approach is well supported by ORM technologies such as (n)Hibernate. Is there a reasonable path to an object centric approach with EF? Will I be swimming upstream going that route? Any good starting points?

• Silly CSS ref problem.

  Hi All, I am having a very weird problem. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. The code for my page (at the moment), is this: <link rel="stylesheet" href="assets/css/default.css" /> But, why does it not load the stylesheet? When I move the stylesheet into the same location as the index.html page, and then change the references to it to point to the root dir, it works again? It never wants to work if the stylesheet is any more than 1 directory deep. Is this normal? Or should it still work?

  I have a child element of a div named "bob" that's class is '.divTitle' <div id="bob"> <div class="divTitle"> <a href="#"> <h1>Title</h1> </a> </div> </div> I am trying to set the background color of "divTitle" to red but for the life of me can't get this to work. Right now I am trying two things... $('#bob').children('.divTitle')[0].css('background-color', '#0f0'); // assuming children is returning an array... and $('#bob').children('.divTitle').css('background-color', '#0f0'); neither with any success... can anyone tell me what I am missing here? Do I have to go deeper than ".children"?

• Simple File-based Record Storage with Fast Text Searching for Compact Framework and Silverlight

  I have a single table with lots of records ( 100k) that I need to be able to index and search on several text fields. The easiest searches will have the first part of the string specified (eg, LIKE 'ABC%' in SQL). The tougher searches will need to search for any substring within the text fields (eg, LIKE '%ABC%' in SQL). I need to run on the Compact Framework. SQL Compact is a memory hog and overkill for my one table. Besides, I'd like to be able to run on Silverlight 4 eventually. The file and indexes can be generated on the full .NET Framework and I only need read capability on the Compact Framework. My records are not especially large and can be expressed in fix length format. I'm looking for some existing code or libraries to avoid having to write a file-based BTree implementation from scratch.

To the second has been set the -fx-background-color, but the value is taken from caspian.css, that is the value it should have before it had been set. .first-style { -fx-padding: 20 5 1 5; } .second-style { -fx-background-color: -fx-shadow-highlight-color, -fx-outer-border, -fx-inner-border, -fx-body-color; } At this point i experience a strange behavior: the focus decoration stops working, and the second button doesn't get its blue border when focused. • Not able to override CSS within IFrame

  I am using disqus comments for my jekyll blog with some CSS styles overriden in my stylesheet and used to work perfectly. Recently, disqus has introduced a new UI for their comments system which has completely broken the font colors. Since my site has dark background, I am trying to apply styles based on new disqus HTML structure generated. However, it seems that none of my styles get applied. It seems that is because disqus is loaded within iframe. Any ideas how can I fix the font colors. There is no div used, this is the css style body{ background-position:center; background-image:url(../images/images2.jpg) no-repeat; } The above CSS tiles all over and does center it, but half the image is not seen, it just kind of moves up.   BeautifulSoup parses HTML and offers various ways to manipulate and search within HTML. Is there something similar for CSS? Specifically, I'd like to know if a given HTML text is rendered as bold. Either it has an ancestor that is the <strong> or the <bold> tag (which can be done with BeautifulSoup), or it has an ancestor (or itself) that has CSS attributes with font-weight: bold. Is this possible without resulting to writing my own library?
