  • jquery.ui.tabs.js doesn't load tab data in IE9, Chrome - works perfectly fine in firefox

    I have few issues that I am facing on my site and I have no idea how to fix those. Please go to http://link.zambeel.ca/index.php/component/obituary/detail/52 and click on Photos tab, it doesn't load images promptly in IE9 and Chrome. I have made it work in firefox with the following code: var loadNextTab = function() { if (indexesToLoad.length == 0) return; var index = indexesToLoad.shift(); $("#tabs-1").tabs("load",index); }; $("#tabs-1").tabs({ cache: true, load: loadNextTab }); Please help me resolve this matter as soon as possible.   • Broken JS Loop with Google Maps...

    My code is below, and I had an issue with nearly the same code, and it was fixed here on StackOverflow, but, again, its not working. I haven't changed the working code, but i did wrap it in the for...in loop youll see below.   • Need help in downloading file with header() function

    Hi. I'm trying to explain as best as I can, sorry for my English. I have a list of links, each linked to a php file with an id by parameters (ex. download.php?id=1 or ?id=2 and so on). This file create a new instance of a class witch return the correct header of the files so it displays the save dialog box of the browser. Now I need to check if the files is already downloaded in past (The first time you downloaded it I add a field on the mysql db). This checks go ahead if you haven't download the files, else return false. Here is the problem, when it returns false or something else the browser redirect me to the download.php file, so I get a blank page or what I'm echoing. I need that if the file is already download it show me a js alert for advice ppl. Hope you can understand what i mean. Thanks for help

  • js loading page message not working on php file

    Merry Christmas guys, I found a code that displays a loading message using a gif. It uses the onLoad="init()" in the body tag. It works fine on an HTML file but it doesn't when the file is in PHP.   • Problem with routes and mod-rewrite (if not absolute i don't get CSS, JS or images)

    hi there! i updated the code from my website to a 'better' veersion i think, it works fine but when i try to implement the friendly URL and load it, works, but with no CSS, Javascript or images, but if i corret the routes for the css to http://website/css/style.css (instead of ./css/style.css) it i do see the CSS properly loaded, any idea why? Example: http://keepyourlinks.com/link1.php?id=25 VS http://keepyourlinks.com/keep/25/series-yonkis (i updated the route of the CSS, but the Javascript is missing an the images asweell) I really would like not to have to correct al routes :(

  • xmlhttprequest responsetext coming for Accept header: text/xml , but server error for application/JS

    I have to get response text from a resourceindex page as JSON object. When I dont put a Accept header in the request, it shows me the xml response (i see it in an alert).. But I want the response as a JSON object.. What should I do. One solution would have been httpRequest.setRequestHeader('Accept', 'application/JSON'); but this gives me a server error :500 Also it says A message body writer for Java type, class ...., and MIME media type, application/octet-stream, was not found Can someone suggest on what to do to overcome this and get the response as JSON?

BUT I do not know how to send data reusing the same TCP from browser to server. so there is not the 3 way handshake and only 2 tcp packets.     Sometimes we use one store for few views(list, carousel,dataviews) and when we refresh(load, filter) store data, dom of all view that use this store will be rebuild, but some views is not displayed in this time, and may be will not show with these data. How we can refresh list dom only if it displayed, not every time when it store refresh?     Hi guys, I'm developing a Flash website (as3) where I need to be able to upload directly to YouTube by using the DATA API. However in order to do so, I had to use a proper HTML form on top of my flash object. Why? Because of the Browser Based Upload restictions. I first hide the form using JQuery and with a little CSS the form is display just where I want it. Within flash I use ExternalInterface.call() to show/hide the form when I need it! ExternalInterface.call("YTUploader.showIt"); The upload process is working great my only problem is that the form can be displayed easily... You just need a tool like firebug and you can use the form wherever you want on my flash app. So I was wandering which will be the best way to 'protect' this form or the best way to limit its access. Any advices will be appreciated. Thanks for your time. Jk.

    A webapp has as a central component a relatively heavy algorithm that handles geometric operations. There are 2 solutions to make the whole thing accessible from both high-end machines and relatively slower mobile devices. I will use RPC's if i detect that the user machine is ''slow'' or else if i detect that the user machine can handle it OK, then i provide to the webapp the script to handle it client side. Now what would be a reliable way to detect the speed of the user machine? I was thinking of providing a sample script as a test when the page loads and detect the time it took to execute that. Any ideas?

  • JS Framework that doesn't use CSS selectors?

    A thing that I noticed about most JavaScript frameworks is that the most common way to find/access the DOM elements is to use CSS selectors. However this usually requires the framework to include a CSS selector parser, because they need to support selectors, that the browser natively doesn't, foremost the frameworks own proprietary extensions. I would think that these parsers are large and slow. Wouldn't it be more efficient to have something that doesn't require a parser, such a chained method calls? Some like: id("example").children().class("test").hasAttribute("href") instead of $("#example > .test[href]") Are there any frameworks around that do something like this? And how do they compare with jQuery and friends in regard to performance and size? EDIT: You can consider this a theoretical discussion topic. I don't plan to use anything other than jQuery in any practical projects in near furure. I was just wondering why there aren't any other, possibly better approaches.

    On my web site, I'm trying to accomplishes the fastest page load as possible. I've noticed that it appears my JavaScript are not loading asynchronously. Picture linked below. How my web site works is that it needs to load two external JavaScript files: Google Maps v3 JavaScript, and JQuery JavaScript Once it loads these external javascript files, it then, and only then, can dynamically render the page. The reason why my page can't load until both Google Maps and JQuery are loaded is that - my page, based on the geolocation (using Gmaps) of the user will then display the page based on where they are located (e.g. New York, San Francisco, etc). Meaning, two people in different cities viewing my site will see different frontpages. Question: How can I get my JavaScript files to download asynchronously so that my overall page load time is quicker?
