  • Microsoft , Hotmail , Live , MSN, Outlook , unable to send emails and no support received from microsoft in 3 months we are trying asking for that

    Ok this is somenthing unbelievable, we have a website, users sign up and receives links to confirm they signed up BUT: 1 - microsoft blocked our IP (no one with microsoft email account can receive our emails) 2 - we tryed contacting microsoft submitting the detailed form about our problem 3 - we posted 3 times in their community about our problem 4 - we tweeted they about our problem 5 - we tryed finding out some telephone support number (the few there are arent' helping at all) Do you think we solved? the answer is NO :/ We still unable to send emails from our IP to microsoft email accounts, since 3 months back. Our emails are perfect we checked all the email headers following microsoft guidelines but it seems not enought, checking our IP reputation it seems everythings ok, indeed we can send email easly to any other provider , gmail, yahoo, etc Do you know any other way to try to get help ?   • OWA (Outlook Web Access) won't give user a link to attached document. Gives "Open as Web Page"

    I have been testing OWA and have found that when there is an attached file on a message it shows the "Attachments:" then the file name (but no link) and then [Open as Web Page] link. The user has to click on that which opens a new window and previews the document, then the user gets "You are currently viewing:" followed by the file name. This time the file name is a link that they can open/download. This happens for Office documents and PDF file at least. How do I make it so users can get a direct link to the file on the original message window?

  • Is there a way to get the size of Outlook Calendar meeting items?

    In our Exchange environment, our company caps the size of an Exchange account at a certain size. That size is the sum of all the exchange related stuff stored on the server - includign both the Inbox and the Calendar. I can tell with the Mailbox properties, Folder Size... window that my Calendar is a good 50% of my account's footprint. Is there any way to get a more detailed view of what meetings in the Calendar are taking up the space? Given the general pattern of incoming mail, it's my belief that 2-5 meetings are responsible for 75% of the memory consumption... I just need to find which meetings are the problem... and with my current calendar, it's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Anyone got a trick for this?

  • How do I see the end of the subject line in MS Outlook?

    I currently receive emails with a very very long subject line (generated by another system) of which I cannot see the end (specifically a date and time), despite widening the field as much as I can. Can anybody suggest how can I either see the end of the subject line and sort by these criteria or preferably move the date and time text from the end to the beginning of the subject line so I can sort by it, perhaps using VB?

  • Forced to use Outlook Web Access, what are my options?

    My company just enforced an OWA update and disabled IMAP and POP3 access. I don't want to use the webmail, do I have any options? Forwarding is also disabled. I also don't look forward to installing thunderbird or anything else, which is what colleagues are doing. I'd be interested in running some sort of automation script that either forwards the emails, or notifies me somehow that there has been some activity. Disclaimer: This does not concern any illegal activity, as I work at a school. They are not explicitly preventing me from circumventing their bogus security imposition and have given me permission to do so, 'if I can find a way'. Which of course makes me want to do it even more.

NoProxy doesn't seem to work. (The reason I would like to do this is I have below global rules which create a 502 proxy loop if applied within this virtual host #pass all requests to application server ProxyPass /test http://localhost:8080/test ProxyPassReverse /test http://localhost:8080/test ) What I'm trying to do is, serve all static content (like css) using apache, while still proxying all the rest of requests to the application server.

  • Password rules for yppasswd

    Hello all, I have a NIS master-slave setup and I would like to improve the password rules/complexity for it. Seems like if I introduce new rules to the NIS Master they are applicable only from there. What I mean: I want minimal password length of 9 characters. On the NIS master if I run 'passwd' it obeys this requirement. If I run 'yppasswd' it just go to the default 6 characters. If I use 'chage -d 0 user1' to force a user to change a password, the user is prompted only when login on the NIS Master. The user's old password is still good to login at NIS clients. All machines are running Ubuntu 9.10 or 10.04. How I can strengthen yppasswd rules and make it warn users to change their passwords? Thank you all!

Assuming that name of my domain is my.domain.com, I want to use following rules: If BOTH sender and recipient address is from my.domain.com, message should be rejected (sendmail server only relays messages between my internal exchange server and outside word, so sending messages between users from my.domain.com always occour on exchange server and never on sendmail server) If recipient list contains AT LAST ONE invalid address, whole message should be rejected (even for valid recipients addresses) If sending server uses HELO message with bogus domain name (other than domain of this server), message should be rejected Any server attempting to send mail to dedicated address (f.e.   • Transport rules on a live@edu instance to filter SSNs

    Has anyone implemented transport rules on a live@edu(or whatever Microsoft is calling it these days) instance to reject the delivery of messages that include SSN's? I see how to set up transport rules in Exchange 2007, and even how to do it in the Windows Live Admin page, though the rules there don't seem to allow for regexes, can anyone confirm this? If this is the case has anyone ever connected Powershell to a live@edu instance to implement the code found at the bottom of this page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997187.aspx What I really need is a concise how-to.

I've tried the following rule: -- {{{ Rules awful.rules.rules = { { rule = {class = "Firefox" }, properties = { tag = tags[1]["www"] }}, } -- }}} However, if I hit Super+R then type 'firefox' or run 'firefox &' from a terminal, Firefox opens in whatever tag I'm viewing. I've tried {class = "firefox"} and properties = { tag = tags[1][2] } but those modified rules did not work either. What is the correct way to set up a rule to make firefox always open in a particular tag?

  • Dapper and object validation/business rules enforcement

    This isn't really Dapper-specific, actually, as it relates to any XML-serializeable object.. but it came up when I was storing an object using Dapper. Anyways, say I have a user class. Normally, I'd do something like this: class User { public string SIN {get; private set;} public string DisplayName {get;set;} public User(string sin) { if (string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(sin)) throw new ArgumentException("SIN must be specified"); this.SIN = sin; } } Since a SIN is required, I'd just create a constructor with a sin parameter, and make it read-only. However, with a Dapper (and probably any other ORM), I need to provide a parameterless constructor, and make all properties writeable. So now I have this: class User: IValidatableObject { public int Id { get; set; } public string SIN { get; set; } public string DisplayName { get; set; } public IEnumerable<ValidationResult> Validate(ValidationContext validationContext) { // implementation } } This seems.. can't really pick the word, a bad smell? A) I'm allowing to change properties that should not be changed ever after an object has been created (SIN, userid) B) Now I have to implement IValidatableObject or something like that to test those properties before updating them to db. So how do you go about it ?
