  We are developing a .net based CT based on Broker query Mechanism (filter): ComponentPresentationAssembler cpAssembler = new ComponentPresentationAssembler(Page ID,Page object); In order to pass the page ID, I need to get the access of page on which the component is present. How can I access the page from package? Since this a CT, a component object would be available in page and not a page object. Tried the following piece of code, but without success: string pageURI = _package.GetValue("Page.ID"); Page objPage = (Page)_engine.GetSession().GetObject(pageURI); This is not working as there is no page object. What are the alternatives so that we can access the parent page of component from CT?

  My Canon camera produces files like IMG_1234.JPG and MVI_1234.AVI. It also timestamps those files. Unfortunately during a trip to another timezone several cameras were used, one of which did not have the correct time zone set - meta data mess.. Now I would like to correct this. Proposed algorithm: 1 read file's modify date 2 add delta, i.e. hhmmss (preferred: change timezone) 3 write new timestamp Unless someone knows a tool or a combination of tools that do the trick directly, maybe one could simplify the calculation using epoch time (seconds since ..) and whip up a shell script. Any help appreciated!

  I work with OS X, Snow Leopard and need to allow users to make copies of files (templates) located in a read-only repository for subsequent editing. The repository is located on a separate physical drive mounted to the OS X boot volume. As this is a shared computer in a school environment, all users access the machine via a single login ("user_local"). Whether using POSIX permissions or ACLs, the use case requires the file permissions to change from "read" to "read write" as they get copied to the "user_local" home directory. Googling around has not yielded anything that would indicate that this is possible via the Snow Leopard permission system. Question 1: Is this in fact possible via the permission system? If so, how? Question 2: If not possible, how would one go about solving this problem? I imagine this to be a fairly common use case so there must be a workable solution for it out there. Thanks.

  I have a batch file that checks several of our servers for a user. From the command: query user %userID% /server:ServerName I want to capture the output before it goes to the screen. Is there a way to redirect the output to a variable? The basic gist of what I want to accomplish is this - we iterate through our servers: query user %userID% /server:Server1 query user %userID% /server:Server2 query user %userID% /server:Server3 query user %userID% /server:Server4 Instead of outputting a message that the user could not be found on a specific server, I would like for it to only notify me if it finds the user on a server.

• VSFTPD uploaded file permissions

  Let me first say that there are loads of topics regarding this, and I am sure i have seen them all by now. Still non of the solutions seem to help. I installed vsftpd. created a user ftp-data. Now I need that files uploaded by user ftp-data would have 755 permissions. Solving this should be as easy as adding: local_umask=002 file_open_mode=0755 but that did not help, then I have tried a number of variations of this, still did not help. The I added: chmod_enable=YES still did not help. At the moment I think that I am missing something very simple and obvious, just cant find it. Maybe someone could help me to find what I am missing.   Doing something like this: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:AllCustomersViewModel}"> <vw:AllCustomersView /> </DataTemplate> works in a ResourceDictionary for when I want to apply a ViewModel to a UserControl as root, but how do I the same thing when I have a UserControl inside of a Page? Would I create a ResourceDictionary for all my Pages then at the top of each Page do something like: <Page.Resources> <ResourceDictionary Source="../MainWindowResources.xaml"/> </Page.Resources> Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

• Unlock file on Windows Server 2003 by remote desktop without rebooting

  We've several Windows Server 2003 machines running, each with its own purposes. There are scheduled jobs which synchronizes some files over SFTP using WinSCP. Very sometimes a newly copied file is left locked in the "inbox" folder without any reason. The machine's own background task (programmed in Java) can't move it to the "processed" folder anymore after processing it. Manually moving it only yields the well known error message Cannot move [filename]: it is being used by another person or program. The only resort is to reboot the machine, but we would of course like to avoid that. Any suggestions? I tried Unlocker which works fine locally at WinXP, but doesn't work at those Win2K3 machines by remote desktop (unlock option doesn't show up in rightclick context menu). I tried Process Explorer as well as described in this blog article, but it caused the server to crash (not sure if that's because it's executed through remote desktop).

• How to remove $data stream from file in windows 8

  Windows for a while now has added an additional hidden stream to files that were downloaded from the internet. If you attempted to use these files, you'd get all kinds of odd behavior as windows was detecting this additional stream and then preventing the app / exe from getting all sorts of security clearance. But in previous versions of windows you could right click on a file, go to properties then click 'Unblock' which removed the extra stream. Windows 8 seems to be doing the additional streams trick, but I haven't yet found a way to remove them using the win 8 UI. Anyone know how to do this?

  Why might a file only be partially uploaded? I am improving error-handling in my PHP file upload script and am trying to figure out how to handle UPLOAD_ERR_PARTIAL properly. Should I prompt the user to try uploading the file again, or should I inform them that there is a more severe problem which is preventing them from uploading a possibly legitimate file? Thanks!

  Hey all Using jQuery, is there a way to prevent going to the next page until the animation has finished AND the next page has completely loaded (including images)? The code below works but it is a bit clunky. You can see what I am trying to achieve here: http://bit.ly/aOeYgE The first three or so pages work. But when you click to go to the homepage a few times (after it's cached) you will see that it jumps, and the animation isn't very smooth. As you can see with the code below, the height is immediately set to 0, then when the page has loaded the height is set to 500px. I want to be able to capture a page event, then create a SharePoint task to instruct a user to translate that page to another language (note that MOSS and variations is not an option because the client wants to use the free version of SharePoint). The script needs 3 parameters: %1 path to folder where files need to be deleted %2 file names (es. *.log) %3 number of days @echo off forfiles -p %1 -s -m %2 -d -%3 -c "cmd /c del /q @path" The script works fine if the first parameter has no spaces inside. • Why is Internet Explorer treating a file as a web page?

  I am trying to download a Photoshop shape file (.csh), and instead of downloading it, IE treats it as a webpage and shows a series of symbols. When I try to save it, I am told to either save as an html file or txt file. If I save as txt file and change the extension, Photoshop says it is invalid, since IE saves the text source, not the actual file. I ended up having to use a download program to download it. Why is IE treating it as a webpage, and is there a way to fix the problem? Firefox shows the same issue.

• Can't access network share with name defined in hosts file

  I have a network share on a machine that I can only reach by IP address. I then defined an alias for the IP in my hosts file so I could use that instead of the IP but then I can't log on to the share, I just get the logon prompt again and again. So basically this: \\172.17.0.48\SomeShare works but this \\myalias\SomeShare doesn't. myalias is defined in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts as 172.17.0.48 myalias And I can use the alias for remote desktop without problems. Can anyone tell me why this doesn't work for fileshares?

• Run disk error check on NTFS file?

  I have a feeling that my system hard drive is dying. Benchmark kind of enforces it. Here is the benchmark of my system hard drive during low system activity: And here is the benchmark of backup drive: Furthermore, there are some files which I just can't touch because I get CRC errors and the hard drive activity spikes to 100% with operating speeds less than 1 MB/s while working with such files. I haven't yet tried swapping SATA cable as I have read this might cause the problems. Anyway, I would like to run some tests on specific clustsers where those files I am interested in are stored. I don't want to do the full chkdsk because it takes a very long time. I would like to either find the utility which executes the disk check directly on the clusters where the file belongs or a couple utilities where one tells me the cluster locations and another can check just those locations.   I am running a Windows slave for Husdon 1.337 (Linux master). When running a project on the Windows node, it fails with the following message: Building remotely on winTestSlave Checking out a fresh workspace because there's no workspace at C:\hudson\***\ejb remote file operation failed It did work yesterday and I have not upgraded Hudson or changed its configurations (or the slave's configurations) in any way. I establish the connection between the slave and the master by running the following command on a cygwim prompt on the slave: java -jar slave.jar -jnlpUrl http://myserver/computer/winTestSlave/slave-agent.jnlp I saw the issue http://issues.hudson-ci.org/browse/HUDSON-5374 and did as instructed in the work-around but that did not work. I also tried with a newer version of slave.jar (version 1.356) but that did not work either. Does anyone please have any idea of how to fix this? I really cannot find more information anywhere else!

As I understand it, the file can't be written to without losing the lock. The only way I have come up with to tackle this, is to write a character using "r+" mode, and then counting characters.
