• Having trouble running code analysis from command prompt with msbuild

  I'm using VS2010 RC while targeting .NET 3.5. I can run code analysis via Visual Studio without a problem. However, when I try to run code analysis on our CI server it isn't getting executed. What just happened here??? Heartbeat on node04 stopped and told node03, which was the active node at the time. Somehow, node03 decided to start the cluster processes that were already running. (For the processes that are not critical, I always return a 0 from the startupscript so it does not stops the entire cluster when a non-essential part fails.) When starting ActiveMQ, it returns status 1 because it is already running. This fails the node and shuts everything down. As heartbeat is not running on the secondary node, it cannot failover to there. When I tried to run ha_takeover to restart the resources, absolutely nothing happened. Only after I restarted heartbeat on the primary node the resources could be started (after a delay of 2 minutes). These are my questions: Why does heartbeat on the primary node try to start the cluster processes again? Why did ha_takeover not work? What can I do to prevent this from happening?   I have some sites in IIS7 that are configured to run as domain users (MYDOMAIN\someuser). Any tips on how I can either allow ServerManager to decrypt this, or just tell IIS to store the passwords in plain text? This is on IIS7 under Windows 7 RC, by the way.

  Hello, i have some troubles with setting up a nameserver in PLESK for months now. I have tried all possible scenario's but i can not get this to work. I am really in need for some help, and if you can i will really appreciate it. Basically what i want is to just set up a nameserver in PLESK. I have a primary IP, and my host gave me a secondary nameserver i can use. My host is leaseweb in the netherlands. I have made some screenshots of the important parts in my opinion, maybe you guys can see some errors in them. To use the secondary nameserver provided by leaseweb i had to enable ACL on that account, i did so and made a screenshot of that too. The DNS recursion is set to localnets. These settings have not changed for months, so the dns should be fully updated everywhere.   I’ve just enabled config transformations on a .NET 3.5 project in VS2010 RC after watching Scott Hanselman’s video on web deployment. Unfortunately every time I go to publish I now get the following error: The "TransformXml" task failed unexpectedly.   Hi I have a customer Registartion page using ASP.NET MVC with fields like FirstName, LastName, Address from AddressDetail Table. When i create a new object for CustomerMaster and trying to update the fields using TryUpdateModel, it is not updating. But the TryUpdateModel is working fine on the Edit Profile Page and that particular record is referenced.   I just installed VS2010 RC and launched the FullDuplex sample from NServiceBus 2.0.0.1145 and it ran fine. I then changed the target framework of each project in the solution to ".NET Framework 4", recompiled and launched in the debugger and received the following exception: System.InvalidOperationException was unhandled Message=No endpoint configuration found in scanned assemblies.   HI All, Has anybody been able to extract the device tokens from the binary data that iPhone APNS feedback service returns using PHP? • How can I use the SSRS ReportViewer from VS 2008 in a VS2010 project?

  Hi, I'm working on an ASP.NET MVC 2 / .NET 3.5 project which includes SSRS 2008 reports. After migrating to VS 2010 RC, the new web forms report viewer has been giving so much trouble that I'd like to use the old report viewer from VS 2008 again. Now I'm just wondering what would be the easiest way to do that. The report viewer is embedded in a Webforms ASPX file which is loaded in an IFrame by the the MVC view. Report parameters are currently stored as session variables, and for security reasons I would prefer not to change that for HTTP POST or GET parameters. So I can't just put the report viewer in a separate application and build that with VS2008. Moving the entire project back to VS 2008 is not an option. So, what's the easiest way for me to use the VS 2008 ReportViewer in VS 2010? Is there way to grab an assembly from VS 2008 and use that in my project? Thanks, Adrian

• Runtime-error in wpf with Window.AllowsTransparent set to true.

  I get an exception thrown at runtime when I set AllowsTransparent="True" I get an exception saying the WindowStyle can not be set to None if AllowsTransparent is set to true. Even if I explicitly say that WindowStyle is set to SingleBorder I get this error. However, if I set WindowStyle to SingleBorder and remove the AllowsTransparent-tag, I get no error, and the top of the window (the icon, name and close, minimize and maximize-buttons) disappears. Anyone knows what can cause this? Or is it just a bug in .Net 4.0 rc?

• Windows Workflow Foundation 4.0 and WCF web service faults (soap fault)

  In my Workflow Foundation 4.0 RC app I have a 'Receive' and 'SendReplyToReceive' WCF messaging pair that work fine with a simple request/response operation, but I'm having trouble attempting to perform validation on the request and reply with a fault. In WCF I am able to create a throw custom fault contracts (which in turn sent out SOAP faults) but I just can't see how to achieve this with the built-in workflow messaging activities. I can only seem to response with a data transfer object (I'm not even able to respond with a choice of object). Any ideas? (Can you save my day yet again Maurice!?) Thanks!

  Hello, I've installed full version (not RC nor Beta) of Visual Studio 2010, a then setup within Web Platform Installer 2.0 announce me that I need to install MVC 2.0, so i did it. When I want to create project "MvcWebApplicationProjectTemplate" in VS I have following message: error: this template attempted to load component assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.Mvc.2.0, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. For more information on this problem and how to enable this template, please see documentation on Customizing Project Templates. Any idea how to fix it? Do you think that Web Platform Installer 2.0 might have corrupted this template? Thanks, Daniel

  I have some sites in IIS7 that are configured to run as domain users (MYDOMAIN\someuser). Any tips on how I can either allow ServerManager to decrypt this, or just tell IIS to store the passwords in plain text? This is on IIS7 under Windows 7 RC, by the way.

• Eclipse hangs while opening workspace after upgrading to GWT 2.0/Google app engine 1.2.8

  After upgrading to the newest GWT/Google app engine I have problems opening my workspace in Eclipse. On startup, Eclipse hangs almost immediately and needs to be closed. This happens only in the workspace where I use GWT with app engine, and I weren't able to consistently reproduce it - sometimes it starts normally, and sometimes I need to kill the proces and restart it. There is nothing in Eclipse error log. Eclipse version is Galileo, running on Windows 7 RC. Anyone else had similar problems? I googled but Google is not my friend today. EDIT: Still happens after upgrading to GWT 2.0.1.
